I really wish Kinnikuman came to the US when the WWF was big.

Same here. I don't understand why it still hasn't been brought to the United States yet.

Ultimate muscle was so popular on 4kids that they specifically made the second season due to US demand.

Kino aesthetics.

>The manga is impossible to find in english and the official volumes go for $100+ on the aftermarket
I really want to read this shit.

The OP was the best

boruto done right

AND FLATULENCE BRRRRRRAP.

Could've done without that.

God why were all of the Hercules Factory graduates save for Mantaro such fucking jobbers?

There's a group scanlating it out of order, right now they seem to be alternating between the demon seed arc and the time travel arc.

It isn't online?

There seems to have been a recent purge across multiple sites that were hosting the official scans, they used to go up to the end of the Hanzo fight but got taken down.

the deer guy was my crush ngl

Your crush has an abhorrent record as a chojin despite graduating at the top of his class. He makes even the biggest jobbers like Wolfman look good.

Mike pollick is the most based English va

For me, it's Wally Tusket

I'd let him eat my face if you know what I mean.

kino

I remember this show on 4kids.
I betya Mantaro Muscle could beat the shit out of All Might and every BNHA main character while chilling and doing reps and pushups.

Kevin mask was body slammed by bad boys from outter space in the summer of 92

I liked the gamecube game

I liked playing that. Later on I found out about this. It has more characters from the Kinnikuman and Ultimate Muscle series in it. AKI Corporation also made two Kinnikuman Grand Prix games for the PS2, but for whatever reason, those never made it over to the USA.

Is this the only case of the English intro being more honest about the shows content?

>God why were all of the Hercules Factory graduates save for Mantaro such fucking jobbers?
Same reason everyone in DragonBall who isn't Goku is a jobber

I loved this show as a kid and i had no idea until way later that it was supposed to be a sequel to something.

The jobber to end all jobbers.

Honestly, same here

But that was the WWE sports entertainment era. He's talking about the WWF kayfabe era.

That whole opening was fucking gold and hyped me as a beast when i was a kid

But would it be as memorable as it is?

It did, you zoomy scum.

any reason why the cartoon wasn't shown stateside?

too bad he only won in an anime filler.

How did the original Kinnikuman end up as such an old fart, Robin didn't look a year old in nisei

The importance of a healthy diet instead of gyudon every single fucking day.

dude just let himself go

Was he actually a human chojin that dresses like a walrus or was it a mammothman situation where he was a literal walrus that became a humanoid chojin wearing clothes themed after his former self?

>Release timeskip sequel
>The original manga still on going after said sequel for more than 30 years
How

I find it hilarious that this series started off entirely as an ultraman spoof but somehow adopted wrestling early onwards

so this predates GT-Super? Release a sequel then create another sequel to the original series that invalidates the earlier sequel.

Order goes like this
>Kinnikuman manga up until the end of the arc where kinnikuman fights against the other kinnikumen claiming to be the real heirs due to a hospital mixup
>Nisei comes here
>Nisei Ultimate Chojin Tag is the last arc in Nisei published as its own manga
>They go back to writing the original Kinnikuman once Ultimate Chojin Tag ends and potentially retcon a lot of things from Nisei so its canon status is questioned
Nisei in general is a very mixed bag but honestly I was starting to like Mantaro in Ultimate Chojin Tag since he has to become more reliable due to his tag partner being a bigger coward than him for most of the arc.

Also post revival Kinnikuman is fucking gold, the first arc is the apex of the series. We're currently in the second arc so I'll withhold my judgement on it after it's done but so far I really liked the new omega centauri chojins and their leader that's been set up to parallel Kinnikuman. Can't wait for them to potentially fight together.

was that an editorial thing or something the author came up with on his on?

I really wish that this gets a remake someday, i really liked this as a kid and even nips still love this

Don't know but it did try to go back to its ultraman spoof roots after Kinnikuman's tour arc ended. Guess the popularity took a hit back then and that's what made them permanently switch to wrestling with the second Olympics arc.

>Becomes a cannibal that tries to eat the faces of his former friends after ripping them off
He was a good friend.

There's always modern Kinnikuman

I still can't believe they actually won that match. Brocken jr. was completely out of his league and Ataru is a certified jobber.

Yeah, but imagine a new anime adaptation of the whole series with nowdays technology, the manga is really hard to find fully translated and in good quality so it would be fucking amazing

I wonder when Robin Mask will come back from the dead, he's been missing for way too long.

Satan is a fucking jobber lmao. Even terryman put up a better fight.

He will come back corrupted by the new big bad boy from outer space.

this fight was kino

also i prefer the original OP

Meanwhile in the manga

Attached: x20.png (840x1200, 1.37M)

Always felt Yudetamago went overly edgy with Nisei.

I'm curious as to who Justiceman will eventually job to. He's been shown to be way too powerful. He never gets injured in any fight.

There's definitely a weird dissonance between how bloodthirsty Nisei justice chojin seem in a fight and how they behave outside of it. Like one minute Kevin is trying to make Suguru commit sudoku and then the next minute he's a good friend.

Yudetamago obviously like wrestling, Terryman was in chapter 2 and he was always a spoof of Terry Funk, first few chapters also had Kaiju versions of The Sheik and Abdulla the Butcher. I wouldn't be surprised if they went down the pro wrestling route themselves.

KWAB

Give me the musclepill. I remember seeing this on TV as a kid with what I would image was probably a terrible 4kids dub or something. Don't think I ever even saw an entire episode. Is it actually good?

Ultimate Muscle was a decent show for it's time, it's shitty dub worked because it was mostly a gag manga. It's manga will likely never fully see the light of day but was edgy than the anime because it was serialised in a seinen mag rather than WSJ.

The original Kinnikuman manga is possibly one of the most important manga of all time and it's first revival arc is the best battle shounen arc hands down.
