The season is over. What was your AOTS? What shows did you drop? How did you feel about the season?
Winter 2020
Personal: Runway de waratte convinced me to read the manga
Overall: Budoukan if you exclude chihayafuru s3 (which started last season)
Best: Eizouken
Finished: Somali (6/10)
Dropped: Dorohedoro, ID
My personal AOTS was Nekopara, but Yas Forums's official AOTS was Bofuri and I'm OK with that, as it was great, too.
Decent season overall. Highlights for me were pic related, Somali and Budoukan.
Dropped Plunderer and Eizouken.
I only watched Dorohedoro and Eizouken but I stopped with Eizkouken on episode 8 I think, gotta finish it sometime
Dorohedoro's pretty great adaptation
AOTS: Murenase Shiiton Gakuen.
Dropped the weird cat show.
It was decent, Had some unexpecting good shows like Darwins Game/Kyoukou Suiri, Probably like a 6/10 season at best.
Runway de Waratte but I still need to watch the last episode of ID and Pet.
Good season but full of surprises, those series people were trying to shove down everyone's throats were awful to average but those shows not a single soul were talking about resulted to be great.
might also watch ID, Bofuri and Somali since Yas Forums seems to rate them pretty high
Stop using the chart made by the VEGfag, it just makes the entire thing inconsistent, even DBS fit better than VEG.
Eizouken and ID were the only shows I started or finished this season.
Eizouken had incredible highs, but I felt like it didn't quite reach the level of consistency I wanted. Still an easy 7 or 8 out of 10 though.
ID started pretty strong but peaked a bit too early; the last couple episodes were kind of a letdown after what had preceded them. It didn't pull a Babylon or a Kado, though, which was what I was worried about, so overall I'd call it a win.
I'm on the fence about circling back for Magia Record and Dorohedoro.
What are people looking forward to in the upcoming season?
>What shows did you drop?
All of them.
Orphen is my favourite
I'm looking forward to the last episode
It's terribly underrated
>chart has existed since 2013
>it's some made up boogeyman that came into existence in 2018
Is this what being schizophrenic is like?
Ahhahahahhahahahahhahahahah
AOTS: Bofuri
and only because of syrup!
I dropped ID:INVADED, Nekopara and that toilet shota series.
Watched Kyokou Suiri, Murenase, Isekai Quartet 2, Re:Zero, Mairimashita, Rikei ga Koi and, for some reason, Plunderer.
Kyokou Suiri was definitely my favorite of the season. Rikei ga Koi was okay too.
>>chart has existed since 2013
I'd call out on this, but vegtards love to push away burden of proof.
aots: murenase
dropped like 20 shows
good season
I watched every anime this season
Top 5 are
1. Shiiton Gakuen
2. Eizouken
3. Dorohedoro
4. Chihayafuru
5. Koisuru Asteroid
Oooo, I'm a VEGtard, oooOOOooo~
Meh season, Eizouken was best of a thin bunch.
Dropped Somali and Asteroid.
>AOTS
Bofuri or Invaded. They're both very different shows so I'm not sure which one to pick for the 1st place
>3rd
Haikyuu
>4th
Eizouken
>5th
Reviewers
Also saw like 7 other shows but they were mediocore to bad. Dropped Nekopara and 22/7. Watched Darwins Game to the end which was a big mistake because it was a total trash. Good season though
Glad to see you came down to my level and neither of us has to takes this argument seriously.
Best season in a long time
My AOTS was ID:Invaded but Pet and Dorohedoro were really good too.
I ended up dropping Eizouken and Somali
why does everyone end up dropping eizouken, especially at episode 8?
I only watched episode one and didn't get hooked
It gets repetitive and people notice eventually
5 episodes for me
not only has the chart not existed since 2018, it's literally been hated since its inception
>Personal AOTS
Eizouken and Bofuri
>Dropped
Madoka
>Season note
7/10 Good season I would say
I subconsciously dropped it after 4 episodes. I think I was initially intrigued by the concept of an anime Ed, Edd, N Eddy, but then kinda realized I’m not that interested in watching a worse version of EENE.
AOS: ID invaded
Dropped: Darwin's game, maybe I'll read the manga
Season overall: not as bad as people say but not very exciting either
It didn't have anything to hook me. I didn't care about the characters, there wasn't really a plot and it didn't look good enough to offset those flaws.
>AOTS
Budoukan easily
>Dropped
Madoka
Eizouken (want to pick back up)
Hanako (want to pick back up)
>overall impression
Honestly I liked it quite a bit. While it lacked the powerhouse standouts of season’s past, it made up for it with a lot of gems and solid mid-grade shows to fill out the roster. Overall I’d say probably 7.5/10
My AOTS would easily be ID.
Bofuri and Murenase were also decent, though nothing particularly special.
The real disappointments of the season to me were Eizouken, Kyoukou Suiri, and Ishuzoku. All suffered from issues with pacing and/or the same gimmick getting retrod over and over.
For the rest, I had zero expectations. The only show I haven't tried that seems like it might be good is Dorohedoro, but that's because I want to read the manga first.
Overall I'd say it was a pretty so-so season.
So much shit tasters in here.
Anime of the season:
Dorohedoro
I've skipped 3 consecutive seasons now. One more and that will make it a full year, which by then, I should probably quit anime altogether. This shit is stagnant and uninspired.
I think the season was pretty bad overall, looked good at first sight but I dropped so much I can't even really tell anymore. I think I'm now down to Dorohedoro, Somali and this Shield Isekai. But I only really like Dorohedoro, might pick up Eizouken later again. It actually looks pretty kino and is very well made, but also a bit boring.
I'm pretty hyped for next season though, there is tons of shit that seems interesting. I only hope corona-chan wont be messing with my plans all to much.
ID Invaded. Simple but a great execution.
oh I forgot, Hanako is guilty pleasure. But it's also getting on my nerves quite a bit and it's clearly a reverse harem and has some BL components.
>Best: Seton Gakuen
>Worst: Ishuzoku
Jokes on you Yas Forums, I’m gonna use this thread as a rec thread and there’s nothing you can do to stop me. Imagine being dumb enough to waste time actually watching everything instead of exploiting other people’s opinions to gauge what’s actually worth watching.
Don’t watch bofuri and just watch SAO GGO alternative.
>Trusting others tastes
That's retarded it will mean you'll miss out on something that you personally like but isn't well received here. Plus it will mean you won't be developing your preferences truly on your own.
Nekopara is AOTD so far.
I hate it!
Watched/Completed
>Hanako (ok anime but 10/10 source material so I can forgive some of the missteps)
>Dorohedoro, probably my AOTS
Dropped
>Eizouken
>Somali (zzzzz and the daughter was annoying)
>Kyoko Suiri (reading the manga cause holy fuck is the pacing of the anime terrible)
Want to pick up
>ID:Invaded
>even DBS
>it's literally been hated
This is why Yas Forums fucking sucks now. Fucking unironic shounentard trash relentlessly shitting this board up. He's right that VEG doesn't belong there though. The entire purpose of this chart is to highlight Yas Forums's quirky tastes by giving AOTS accolades to the kinds of shows that would only be popular on a place like Yas Forums. It's not to give actual objective AOTS assessments that would be approved by self-perceived "serious" anime watchers from communities like leddit and MAL. It's always been that way, and thus, it would be more fitting for something like Yuru Camp - which is almost cult classic level - to be in that spot than VEG.
Only watched Pet, like it a lot
I thought it was for moefags to masturbate to their shit taste where they watch the same show every season.
Bofuri had been my choice for AOTS for most of the season, but Somali swiped it at the end by making me cry bitch tears. Somali is probably already LOTY too. Honourable mention to Ishuzoku Reviewers for insane levels of lewdity, Hatena Illusion for filling that campy QUALITY void, and Nekopara for outshining its reputation as muh ironic weeb steam VN.
>The season is over. What was your AOTS? There was nothing worth watching this season.
>What shows did you drop?
There was nothing worth picking up.
>How did you feel about the season?
It was an off season. Instead I rewatched ....
Maria-sama ga Miteiru
Eureka Seven
Bio-Hunter
Queen Emeraldas
Log Horizon
Scrapped Princess
Maoyuu Maou Yuusha
Black Magic M-66
Next season looks like shit, too.
I only watched Dorohedoro and it was pretty good.
AOTS: ID:INVADED
I spent days discussing it on Yas Forums because it was really interesting. It was fun to watch, hope there will be more anime like this in the future.
Dorohedoro: good manga, average adaptation. Pacing would be better if it had 24 episodes.
Pet: average manga, good adaptation. Didn't expect much and it turned out entertaining.
Bofuri: very comfy.
Runway, Kyoukou Suiri (skipped expositions), Eizouken (dropped early): good start, but all became repetitive rather soon.
Darwin's Game, Infinite Dendrogram Plumderer: terrible adaptations and terrible threads. Easy to get spoiled on most plot twists during early episodes.
Dropped: Murenase, Reviewers, Toilet Hanako. It was tiresome to watch them weekly.
Overall I'd call this season SOTD. There were a lot of solid shows of different genres. If someone couldn't find at least 5 anime to catch it is only his problem.
ah few good picks, especially Maoyuu Maou Yuusha.
on the topic of reverse harem shoujo shit. Is it only me or is this becoming more and more a thing. Especially where it's not really clearly stated. Almost seems like there is an agenda to make the predominately male audience gay. Also I think there is more and more subliminal race mixing / anti racist propaganda. For example in Somali or Reviewers. Also there is less and less nudity, especially involving lolis.
Is this western money, that is causing this? I don't necessarily mind, I believe in freedom of expression. But it just seems to me like the same sickness that already destroyed western media, is slowly but surely getting their hands into our anime. It just feels forced and artificial, the audience mostly wants escapism not shallow political propaganda.
i watched somali, houseki, isekai quartet 2 and boku no tonari
i dropped them all at episode 7 or 8 though
maybe I'll pick them back up
i'll probably watch id:invaded as well
ID:Invaded was easily the AOTS
Honourable mentions to Somali and Seton
Overall a solid season.
what kind of "western money" are you even talking about
the things that matter
1) nip money
2) chink money
- powergap -
3) western money
4) gook money
Aren't Netflix, Amazon, Crunchy roll and those becoming increasingly influential? But there are certainly already things moving from inside Nippon as well. As one of the last bastions of xenophobia it's certainly a top priority to the globalists or whoever is behind this culture destroying nonsense.
AOTS is a tie between Eizouken and Dorohedoro, funnest shows I've enjoyed in a good while.
AOTS: Dorohedoro
Bait or schizo?
