Conan works with Chiba on the case as himself and iirc he doesn't pretend to relay the information from someone else. Sometimes he works with the other detectives himself. Takagi, Sato, Chiba, they're pretty receptive to him being a helping hand. Takagi was the earliest detective to go along with everything he said without questioning it much or ignoring him. I think Sato came next because of her relation to Takagi's budding characterization at the beginning. Shiratori used to kind of put him aside or pick him up like Kogoro would, but he started hearing Conan out too.

I'm not sure why people completely forgot that Kogoro is really the only one that puts him aside or bops him on the head when he wants to help. Everyone else started taking Conan seriously early on. It's part of why I like Takagi a lot, he was the first to really form a connection with Conan between adult and child. He's a cool guy and very endearing.

She's alright but there's many better options over the years in DC.

They're close to finding him and he's close to finding them. It's just whenever someone makes a move at this point.

Dose Aoyama even care about the plot anymore? He should have just had a series about a genius kid solving mysteries and axed out the whole BO.

He does but he can't tell it without changing the formula the series runs on. He's setting everything up to have it ready when his time feels like its coming to an end. He said it could go on like 7-8 more years tops.

Captured in Her Eyes really nails the tone, I kinda wish we could have had the movie without Ran's sitcom amnesia just to see how that'd be like, but how things are is fine too, they made it work. I just love the atmosphere of it. It's such a good mystery and the idea of the killer being high ranking in the police department was also enticing. I personally wouldn't be able to rank 23 films from favorite to least favorite, but I do know I wouldn't have Baker Street so low. I also would have Zero the Enforcer as my least favorite.

Do you mean ship them as Ran and Conan or Ran and Shinichi? I ship both. I love /ss/ potential.

I rewatched The Phantom of Baker Street recently, and it wasn't as fun as I remembered it. If I didn't I would've probably put it higher.

Yea I can see that opinion. I also know people don't like it because it's an unconventional film in the franchise and isn't really the kind of thing you'd expect from DC. I still watch it every now and then and I still enjoy it. I guess it's another film I like the atmosphere of, although I don't usually like anime or movies set in older time periods like that, so it's specific to Conan's way of doing it, maybe.

They could have done more with that too, I agree. It's not really that important but that kid who Hiroki took over never really got redeemed since he was just sleeping the entire time. Maybe his friends having changed will urge him to change.

Hilarious if true. There are so many episodes and movies that the cumulative runtime of it all is close to a year.

Yeah was kinda disappointed in some of them on a rewatched, but Quarter of Silence I liked more, I guess I liked that whole avalanche sequence a lot.

Quarter of Silence is pretty good for a digital film. I also liked the avalanche scene. I always enjoy when the characters are worried about Conan beyond "where were you don't run off" and when they're in peril. It was nice to see everyone come together in a search party for the kid. I've teared up at least a couple times because of how desperate Ran gets.
