New World has already had several deaths, just in the buildup arcs to Wano. You're delusional if you think Wano won't have another death, other than the one it already had.

The heroes however are the leaders of the new generation, and it's a direct parallel to the panels back at Sabaody. It's elevated quite a bit more than standard heroes enter moments in the series.

Not at all. No way any of the kids die. No way Hiyori dies. Some scabbards or Hyou have some chance of sacrificing their life for Oden, but that's it. And HxH is a stupid example, it kills a lot of fodder, but other than villains, killed very few major characters.

I find that moment from Marineford much less impressive, many have been waiting for the Supernova trio to tear it up for quite some time. In fact I was there when the chapter dropped, the hype wasn't on the level 974 had.
