>Manga starts >Great setting with a very original feel compared to the usual shonen >Art is very good >Characters designs is on point >Secondary cast is interesting and their relationship with the MC looks promising. >Not even a couple years after serialization >Setting is not utilised nearly as much as it could >The MC turned out to be the worst, with almost no redeemable quality and unsatisfying conclusions to his fights >Readers are expected to care for him because he's the MC, and that should be reason enough >Secondary cast turned out to be nearly completely useless and only exist to assist the MC, their character development is basically ignored >Fanbase completely ignore all these problems and start blaming every critic as shitposting and claim all the hate is simply due to the popularity of the manga somehow causing jealousy (?) in others
Man I with Chainsaw Man didn't go down the gutter so fast.
>Great setting with a very original feel compared to the usual shonen I couldn't get past this, isn't it just the modern world with a school setting? The fuck is original about it?
Ian Jackson
the hype around CSM makes bnhatards seethe like nothing else, kek
Isaiah Jenkins
>Pic unrelated btw Okay, this makes kek.
Colton Bennett
>mm-m-uh person has a cow face instead of the usual human one!! but they still act like an ordinary student bcuz reasons!!
Jacob Wilson
Good thread
Bad people
Thomas Mitchell
You don't understand user, Hori's writing is actually brilliant because [HEADCANON]
Ethan Roberts
The worst sin of BNHA is the character designs, even worse than the worthless pussy crybaby mc. Worst designs in a popular shonen.
Caleb James
What the fuck are you talking about ?
Tyler Phillips
Proof that mha haters are illiterate.
Luis Brown
Did you fail English class, user?
Andrew Gomez
I'm guessing you didn't fully read OP's post.
Jose Williams
What was incorrect about my sentence, sensei ?
Nolan Taylor
>>The MC turned out to be the worst, with almost no redeemable quality and unsatisfying conclusions to his fights >>Readers are expected to care for him because he's the MC, and that should be reason enough what do you mean user? Aki is a great character with good development
Levi Carter
>what do you mean user? Aki is a great character with good development >Great development >Save a mass murderer because they make his peepee hard This ain't Batman.
Mason Thompson
>starts a thread with le ebin misdirect in the OP >can't follow one on his own pathetic
Zachary Richardson
>OP is talking about chainsawman >Your post is talking about chainsawman MC
I am not sure we share the same definition of misdirection.
Joseph Hughes
Denji is an excellent MC. His development into a full person is interesting to watch, and his gags and reactions are able to keep the pace up even during relative down times.
Jaxson Barnes
when did Aki save a mass murderer because they make his peepee hard?
Michael Adams
Oh no, I'm retarded, I didn't remember Aki's name and thought it was just Denji's surname or whatever. Weird considering Aki leaves such a big impression.
If anything the sidecast of CSM has gotten more focus and development than the MC. Aki in particular has had a very interesting arc so far.
Sebastian Sanders
Christ Yas Forums is just full of illiterate speed reading zoomers I fucking hate you all
Cooper Collins
you chainporn man? not blame you but i donĀ“t care user
Jonathan Morales
Sorry user, it's a genuine problem, I forget the name of characters, especially when I stop reading the manga for a few weeks. This is what happens when you follow 40+ series at once. I watched Eizouken for three months and I barely remember the name of the MC
Hudson King
the op just did the opening wrong you're not supposed to be so retarded that people respond to your post before they finish reading it
William Sanchez
user, I can talk about csm's flaws (crappy artstlye at times, cheap use of killing for shock value) but I just like its strong points much more. You just come to me as someone that doesn't even recognize the manga's strong points: dark humour, great characterisation and a interesting plot surrounded in mistery. If you want dudes punching harder or fantastic worlds you have other series.
Cameron Bennett
Actually I like the humor and general plot of CSM. It's bogged down by the characters though, because Denji's been boring for like three arcs and every other characters is barely at the edge of relevancy.
I don't know where you got the impression I disliked the humor and mistery plot, but if you're the kind of person who read too much into things that are not present I can understand why you would think CSM is an exemple of great characterisation.
Sebastian Nelson
I'm not reading much into it, for me those points carry the manga and for you they don't.
Ian Evans
Yeah, weirdly enough no one even say why CSM has great characters, they just say they do. I know CSM fails at characters because the Bomb arc was practically all about making you feel empathy for Reze and there is no one (except waifufags) who can pretend to have cared about her dying or surviving with a straight face, because while the mangaka certainly tried the tragic monster angle it came after too many atrocities to be a serious attempt. Great characters would make you care about their fate and when I really don't give half a fuck about whether or not Denji will make it out of the story alive (and absolutely no one can give me a reason to care for him), I really don't think this so-called strong point of the story is anything but a sham.
Yeah people have their own tastes and I respect that but if you cannot say why some things resonate with you then why bring them up ?
William Reyes
Why do you expect anyone to have a discussion with you after you start a thread with a failed shitpost and then outed yourself as some ADD retard that can't remember 3 letter names? No one has to justify shit to you.
Gabriel Torres
>chainshit >good ever
Angel Thomas
You must be glad I have troubles remembering names of fictinal characters of manga I don't read weekly, otherwise you'd have virtually nothing to talk about and you'd be forced to leave the thread.
Christian Taylor
Oh no, what would we do without your threads. Huff more farts, self-fellating faggot.
Zachary Lee
That's what you get for actually discussing anything with herofags. No wonder it's leddit's most popular manga.
Lincoln Jackson
CSM has me in a spiral where I like reading chapters but I don't think about it that much or recommend it to other people. And because it occupies so little of my mind and I don't focus on it much I forget who characters are and who is on what side and so on, so I probably wouldn't even notice if it started getting better again. There is zero percent chance I am going to pick up on anything subtle.
Alexander Brown
>Secondary cast is interesting and their relationship with the MC looks promising. >Setting is not utilised nearly as much as it could >Readers are expected to care for him because he's the MC, and that should be reason enough >Secondary cast turned out to be nearly completely useless and only exist to assist the MC, their character development is basically ignored What is this, DRAGON BALL? no no, maybe SAINT SEIYA? or... BLEACH? you need to be more specific (pic related doesn't help, It's just another example)
Mason Hall
Do you like chainsaw man because it allows you to project what you want on it regardless of the lack of actual substance ? Seem like most of your posts are about being angry at things you made up.
Wyatt James
Denji is way more likeable and charismatic than the green-haired crybaby who shits himself and has an autistic meltdown every time something doesn't go his way Denji appeals to real men who have faced genuine hardship and impossible odds in their life Dekucuck appeals to whiny limp-wristed faggots who were bullied in school and didn't immediately get their dream job upon graduating with a liberal arts degree Cope, seethe, suck my cock
Landon Stewart
this thread is about chainsawman not bnha
Jackson Harris
so you project yourself into someone who is not like you and when there is a glimpse of your reality you immediately hate it.
it's not our fault that your youth has been shit user
Eli Hall
Denji is just a macguffin at this point, he doesn't even understand the real plot going on and has absolutely zero agency. So it doesn't matter if you like him or not, has nothing to do with liking CSM anymore.
William Gray
...
Adrian Morales
>he doesn't even understand the real plot going on Why is this a negative again? No one except maybe Makima understands what's actually going on, that's perfectly normal.
Wyatt Watson
I hate Deku more than Denji but Denji is a limp-wristed fag himself. He has moral fiber. His hardships did nothing except considerably lower his expectation. Most of the time he really wouldn't give half a shit if it wasn't part of his job or if he didn't expect to get some, which is one reason to get up in the morning but it's not really helping him be more likeable.
But at least he's not Deku and he's funny sometimes.
Landon Adams
Why are these two fan groups fighting any way? Both are shounen but aside from that they're totally different in terms of story, themes, character development, world, etc. At least with DBZ versus HxH I understand where people are coming from. But what ties these two stories together? I don't have an image that can sufficiently capture my confusion but seriously what the hell is going on?
Colton Reed
mhatards have a inferiority complex against every other series in jump first black clover then kimetsu no yaiba now it's csm
the average MHAtard doesn't read any other manga so they assume everything is as bad as MHA
Nicholas Roberts
>Why are these two fan groups fighting any way? People who enjoy MHA are not likely to enjoy CSM, and vice versa. Except the two manga are pretty similar to each other.
Ryder Diaz
sure? normally it's the other way around, they don't attack anyone
John Perez
>unironically holding chainsaw up to a high degree in the first place Yeah ok OP, when you fall for this blatant shit again we're all going to be here watching you bitch.
