To be honest, the only "arc" I found touching or impressive was that of Reuenthal's rebellion and death.
I want to watch this. Were can I watch It? I know there is some kind of reboot or something that, should I watch that or the original?
If you only consider arcs to be clusters of episodes I can almost agree. Reuental's entire character arc is what makes the rebellion arc great. That's true for the whole show. Almost everyone gets well fleshed out by the end.
Same way you got here. Use the internet. As for the new show, use the internet to compare clips or pictures and decide for yourself. I won't watch the new one.
>Did Oberstein ever do anything wrong?
Yes he died
Jessica is still the best girl, a true martyr
>Merkatz
His death was appropriately anticlimactic.
The new ones are actually pretty based apart from some of the character designs. I would recommend watching the original first tho. It'll make you appreciate the new one more too.
But the real question is:
Did Bittenfield ever do anything wrong?
Yes. He was the pinnacle of fucking up with absolute confidence.
kek. shiit taste
annerose is the ultimate woman
Never.
He never said anything wrong either.
>Did Oberstein ever do anything wrong? No
Why do people forgive his blatant war acceleration by using Westerland as literal fodder? Or getting Kircheis killed?
If you want to use a subscription service, Hidive has it. If not, you can always find a way
>Or getting Kircheis killed?
Are you implying that Oberstein intentionally let the Westerland representative in to kill Kircheis?
I've never considered it during the show but that actually makes some sense
Don't forget reviving the secret police which indirectly led to Reuental revolting.
The joke is that Oberstein kept fucking up.
It's far, far too risky and impossible to plan. Predicting that the guy would bring in a weapon, fire at Reinhard, miss, then struggle with Kircheis over a gun and kill him is nonsense. Oberstein himself tried to put himself in the way of the RPG shot, it was only down to luck that it went wide and he and Reinhard weren't blown to bits. And if the assassin had smuggled in a bomb or something instead, half the Imperial high command would've been killed. There are so many better ways to have Kircheis bumped off if he really wanted to.
You stood up and joined the crowd, right?
The entire crowd is gone. Which crowd. I'm A.
JUST. The history documentaries episodes where the best.
Not possible. I could have it down.
I couldn't shake the feeling that this was the source material Star Wars was badly adapted from.
call me a pleb but Oberstein was my favorite
I liked how ruthless and "evil" he seemed at first, but as the show went on it became clear he was simply pragmatic and had the same sense of honor and dignity that united all of Reinhard's inner circle
nobody in the show liked oberstein, but his ability to give practical advice through bullshit was so goddamn admirable
Nah. You're probably just an uncultured swine so everything slightly SF reminds you of SW.
Regardless, it is made blatantly clear that his autism unintentionally got Kircheis killed.
>This is the greatest show I've ever seen
Why do you say it user? I honestly think it is overrated, and yes, I have seen it. It doesn't look any different to me than a shoujo, who takes his plot serially, at least in much of his development.
Agreed 100%.
I loved the backstory episodes.
This truly was my favorite anime of all time.
Pretty much everyone agrees Oberstein was based.
Definitely my favorite.
Shitty show
>Best
Reuenthal
>Worst
Grillpalzer, but Merkatz is a nasty traitor too
>Favourite ship
pic related
>racism
Not enough
>Oberstein
did nothing wrong
Reminder that Müller was a jobber the whole series
>evil empire versus heroic rebels
>death star
>twink leads
LoGH and Star Wars are the same.
I feel like a neutron bomb is overkill when you're bombing a building.
Evil? Nonsense.
>"We just want to conquer and enslave you, is that so wrong?"
Daily Reminder that the FPA was formed by slaves escaping from slavery. If Reinhard is such a good guy, then why couldn't he just make peace and leave them alone?
How did you guys react when Yang fucking died.
Unironically did not see it coming and laid in bet for an hour thinking how the show would continue. I had already known it was great, but I'll always remember how depressed I was.
I was pretty shocked and mad for a bit, and then just sad. The show felt very different after that, but not in a bad way imo.
This is your level headed Kaiser.
Good thing he didn't live to see democracy die when his family were appointed to leadership positions in the Iserlohn Republic.
Based on rank, why wasn't Merkatz appointed as Fleet Commander instead of Attenborough?
>Based on rank, why wasn't Merkatz appointed as Fleet Commander instead of Attenborough?
Do you want a riot?
I mean, Yang already had entrusted him with creating the first rebel base and people followed him and had a full staff. Other than him, Iserlohn only had Attenborough as a flag rank officer. He fought for them many countless times. Fuck them for not showing respect to him. Also Julian got him killed.
The only thing I found oo far fatched in this show was the part where they escaped using an ICE ship? What? Maybe I didn't get it.
The only thing I hold against him is Fahrenheit's death.
No, slap some engines on them and get the fuck out. They hollowed them out to build there their actual ships.
Easily in my top ten, teared up about 3 times.
F/W: Mittermeyer edges out Ruenthal for not being successfully played throughout the show/Grilparzer or basically any Alliance Admiral that wasn't Bucock or Yang
Ship: Barbarossa because it fazed out of existence with its master
Yang: Can't be racist against objects.
Oberstein by his own reckoning fucked up hard hiring the fat guy and trusting him in any measure. Most of his decision-making is edgy seinen-tier logic that relies on plot armor and isn't to be admired.
I mean, him hiring Lang wasn't a bad choice when he did that. It was after he sperged out and framed Reuenthal that he saw his mistake.
Hell, he even straight up told Lang that they were going to Heinessen to clear shit with Reuenthal, just that Reuenthal outsperged them and actually rebelled (Thanks to Grillpanzer)
No love for Greenhill?
Mild depression for a day and a half.
Being a general officer is half politics. He fucked up.
>Favourite/worst admiral?
Mittermeyer/Grillpalzer
>Favourite ship?
Barbarossa
>Is Yang Wenli racist?
Mashengo was extremely based so I hope not
>Did Oberstein ever do anything wrong?
Fuck no
Did he. Truniht HAD to be removed. He did nothing wrong. Fucking peacecucks like Jessica wanted to surrender and that had to be corrected.
Funny thing is that the aftermath of the show is probably going to resemble the fates of Alexander's empire and Jin dynasty. I'll give Reinhard's empire ~20 years max before it gets out of control.
Attenborough had the greater level of fop and whimsy.
I guess 110 episodes wasn't enough to get a point across to you trogs
>If Reinhard is such a good guy, then why couldn't he just make peace and leave them alone?
Well for one he wasn't your standard trope of a "good guy". He had flaws and problems of his own that were detailed throughout the show.
Aside from that, there were at least a couple reasons why he didn't want to make peace:
For one it was about his own pride and resolve he felt he had to uphold. He made a vow to himself and others that he was going to unite the galaxy, at seemingly no matter the cost.
Another aspect is that he saw both his own nation and Yang's nation as deeply corrupt and needing change. Despite all his flaws, Reinhard did have a deep understanding of duty a leader had to the common man. As such, he probably couldn't sit by while he thought the people within the republic were suffering by the hands of their government.
Felt nothing because I'm not an alliancecuck
I unironically cried myself to sleep. I stopped my binge and went to fucking cry to my pillow until my throat was sore. Its one of two moments in my entire life I remember crying until I was out of breath.
The other moment was when the whole Iserlohn Republic sang the anthem in his honor, yeah?
>Favourite/worst admiral?
reuenthal/merkatz
>Favourite ship?
wilhemina or brunhild
>Is Yang Wenli racist?
i wish he is
>Did Oberstein ever do anything wrong?
yes, few times
Mashengo was an object?
