This chapter was boring as hell and it's going to be another 2 months before the next one, thanks Ichikawa

Waaahahaha! And that faggot that went into the MiA thread to talk shit got what he deserved.

what happened?

It was a moonie chapter. Not really much to discuss.

It would have been a little better if it had been half on earth and half on the moon, an entire chapter of Cairnmea is way way too much

Someone avatarfagging as LaPhos just came to laugh at the slow thread, since there wasn't much to talk about as well.

Antarc...

Antarc might actually come back...unless Aechmea was referring to ice floes when he was talking about ice. Probably shouldn't get my hopes up too much.

Attached: Dd2gvd8VAAMoXMF.jpg (965x838, 117.92K)

Aechmea was grinding the real Antarc here.

Attached: liar.png (1000x1436, 555.02K)

I won’t be able to handle it if Antarc comes back

fuck Aechmea
Same, how would Phos even react given her current mental status?

Genocide of all who liked this chapter when?

Some people have really low expectations
I usually try not to get my hopes up too high for things but I was looking forward to an exciting chapter and it really disappointed me

what gem should I post

Right now there I think the most likely way for Antarc to return is in the form of this foreshadowing panel, by a synthetic layer attached to Karen to help Aechmea mentally break Phos further, or alternatively actually act like Antarc (as she suggests in the page after this one) to simply manipulate her into doing as Aechmea wants if Phos loses motivation to pray out of suicidal desire or her vengeance against the gems

I don't know much at all about minerals admittedly, but isn't ice a mineral on its own? It's much more likely to be exposition on the nature of the"sinner" ice floes that are minerals and somewhat sentient themselves. I know Antarcticite herself only forms in the winter and is probably structurally similar to ice, but I don't quite get why everyone jumps to Antarc coming back.

Attached: E10.png (1426x2048, 463.74K)

I agree he's most likely taking about ice floes, I think people are jumping on it cause they want Antarc to come back

Attached: Scan005(2).png (1280x929, 3.41M)

Yeah. If one wanted to be optimistic (aside from theories like Antarc being kept somewhere or being recoverable in truth that don't have much solid ground aside from Aechmea being untrustworthy) - were her inclusions strong and plentiful enough in the one foot retrieved like how Lapis' entire personality was preserved in her head to talk with Phos consistently, Phos could theoretically, potentially talk with Antarc by joining her foot onto herself in winter.

That's the closest way I can think of with everything we know right now for Phos to ever meet with Antarc as Antarc herself again.
There's a good chance it wouldn't even work, and it's not happening anytime soon in between Phos' current one-track mind for oblivion and shame from seeing her savior whose dying wishes she has completely failed and in her mind would antagonize her as well, but it's the one way I can semi-realistically think of for a reunion at this point in the story, if it would ever benefit the story or Phos' arc at this point.

Antarc's dangling hair strand length giving the stonks a run for their money huh

it's too bad Antarc's foot can't form into a mini Antarc

Aechmea might go and pick up Antarc's foot whilst he's on Earth and use that as the basis for the child he's making. Except for Cairn, he doesn't seem to tell anyone else what's really going on, and that includes the other lunarians, so that would be something he might be inclined to do personally. He doesn't have any other reason to go to Earth except to interact with Phos or Sensei.

I wonder if the author has even decided how she wants to end this thing

feels like she's making it up as she goes along

>people spam spoilers so it becomes routine to not look at hnk threads until a chapter appears on mangadex
>people are surprised threads aren't active

That's how manga writing works, except for the broad strokes.

I wonder if he would be interested in simply gathering all of the shattered gems after the gemocide to steal them all back to the moon.

Also ah, as much as I hated the foot fetish section in this chapter, imagine if like how the ice cream foreshadowed the chapter ending hinting at icefloe(?) exposition, the foot fetish foreshadowed the fact that Aechmea was about to go to earth to fetch Antarc's foot. Probably a big stretch there but just a thought to add onto your potential scenario

>a thread has to hit bump limit

The other gems aren't really important right now, since tormenting Sensei doesn't have any purpose after Phos finds out he's broken for good. The only one that's somewhat unique and therefore potentially useful is Cinnabar, but I can't see what Aechmea would get out of taking Cinnabar.

It took me too long to realize this page is outright showing us Aechmea spying on Cairn through some unknown means - the second panel showing Aechmea's ornate shoulder and a close-up on Cairn's face on the goopy Lunarian screen

We already knew he was allegedly watching the gems, but from this page in particular I wonder if we could infer who or what he's spying from..

I was about to chalk it up as Phos' pearl eye, but Aechmea touches on the part about Phos reaching the moon in her journey two pages later as a later event - "And finally, Phosphophyllite came to the moon."

Attached: R15.png (1114x1600, 523.79K)

Asked myself the same thing upon rereading. The way the panel is framed, it's clear that the camerawork is supposed to portray Aechmea's actual POV. As to how he could do it, I'm going to throw out any possible option
>a traitor among the gems
>an entire program of camo vessels (which would imply that "Lunarians don't work at night" is a lie)
>drones (could be related to the hollow sunspots)
>access to a gem's or even Sensei's eyes
>tinfoil tier, but maybe he's spying through the snow? Which is ice after all and he said something about the ice being more important than we used to think
>I was about to chalk it up as Phos' pearl eye
Look closer, that scene portrays LaPhos' inanimate body in the front during the 102 years timeskip.

Looks like he is spying through the window. Moonies do have stealth technology, so a ship probably could sneak up close enough.

fucking despise the idea that Aechmea has been orchestrating thiswhole thing in some sort of Bogdanoff-esque fucking puppet show. Cheapens the entire thing considerably.

Attached: phos gun.jpg (1136x640, 86.56K)

If he only really took direct action after antarc was taken and Phos got alloy arms then it's alright, bit if he was even behind the stuff that happened before that it's both a stretch in believability and cheapens things as you said.

Will Adamant still love Phos after seeing what he's done to his brothers?

Attached: EM7oBPYWoAArYfr.jpg (635x909, 98.12K)

Found this in the same chapter, a few pages after the one you quoted. The coat hanger and doorway confirms it's the same room

Looks like it wasn't inside the temple after all though, it's peering from the outside, explaining the diamond shaped frame from the window. So dead end, no further evidence for spy or whatever so far

Attached: x26.jpg (1000x1429, 380.35K)

It probably really started after ventricosus, since what happened with Phos then is harder to predict, but the lunarians definitely put quite a lot of effort into capturing Antarc

I think so, because he at least partially (personally) takes fault for the way Phos turned out and knows this was once his precious kind, cheeky child

Don't forget the scene where he outright recommended the other earth gems to join Phos because their war IS something he perpetuates and endangers their lives protecting him for, I don't think he blamed Phos much ever for challenging the status quo and now literally just scraping aside others to get to him to beg him to kill her

>it's the same room
That's what I said. Still I initially thought that it was the same rehab room he was put together into, which would mean it was the ground floor and anyone could take a look from outside.
This page instead confirms sleeping Laphos was put back into his room, which should be in their sleeping quarters way up, so that takes out the possibility of someone peeking in.

Attached: Land of the Lustrous - c045 (v07) - p019 [Digital-HD] [danke-Empire].jpg (2587x3684, 2.7M)

Speaking of, crackpot theory but I wonder if Aechmea personally descended upon the Earth in that second sunspot to confirm the kill, considering Phos emphasized how unusual the Lunarian was.

Maybe we'll get to see Aechmea's sunspot/earth form when he personally goes to Earth and seeing him will remind Phos of Antarc's capture.

GENOCIDE YET?

Attached: DID YOU FORGET ME.png (1165x1920, 1.58M)

This is the school's general outfit, the anime changes it around a little bit but the only significant difference is the hibernation room being its own building instead.

I like the idea that so much weird shit happened to Phos in the span of such a little time had a design behind it since it's been popular speculation for years, way back since Phos first came to the moon and Aechmea's "I have a hunch you will". The way Aechmea phrases it this chapter sounds like he pretty much threw shit at Phos in the hope it stuck, but yeah he sounds too much of a keikaku, going as far as citing Parappa and Ghost's contributions.
I would be more on board with it if it made clear that the whole incident with the slugs was the turning point since as you said it was impossible to manufacture.

Attached: school layout.jpg (2640x2672, 1.27M)

He probably had an eye on Phos for some time, seeing she was a jobless loser not fitting anywhere. Maybe they even tried to kidnap him at the Hollow Cape, but Shinsha was there.
>I wait and wait every day for them to take me
>But they appear as soon as you're here

I doubt the whole slug thing was aimed at Phos specifically. It was too random to predict and plan.
Antarc death was definitely a planned operation, with Sensei being slowed down and the second ship on standby. Moonman knew they'd try to scavenge some material after losing Phos arms.

The Aechmea keikaku also explains why so many weird things happened during Phos patrols, like Shiro or the boardgame. Ghost probably was killed off on purpose too.

I think the weird ones from Antarc's capture were the big bodyguard lunarians that have been around Cairn on the moon, they're bigger than the others but not Cicada big. Aechmea's Earth form is probably going to be something pretty distinctive.

I think Aechmea having a grand keikaku is fine when you consider that he's had thousands of years to think of something like this, hundreds of years with Phos specifically, and he's not telling how many times he tried before it worked. At least a few gems must have been tempted onto the moon before Phos was.

I don't really like the keikaku thing with how many random factors there have been in Phos' journey like everyone else, but I want to chip in that it's confirmed Aechmea has pretty much been tailing Phos since Ventricosus

Attached: x8.jpg (1000x1436, 516.8K)

>I doubt the whole slug thing was aimed at Phos specifically. It was too random to predict and plan.
It helps that we never really learned the specifics of the deal. It seems it might have amounted to "bring us a gem in X place at X time in exchange for Aculeatus", but Ventricosus knew that salt water would shrink her.
How was normal Vent supposed to restrict a gem and drag it to the place? The same reason also outrules the scenario where Ventricosus would willingly vore one or more gems, because her shell would've been discarded as soon as she tried to escape to the sea as well.
And since Phos could only understand and get tricked by Ventricosus after being vored, it's unlikely that the plan would revolve around that. Vent herself seemed surprised that Phos could understand her and had to guess that it happened because of the ingestion.

Attached: x7.jpg (1000x1440, 347.71K)

We probably got a glimpse of aechmea earth form during the chapter after the night raid when he got angry at crabworm.

That's probably more that he's been tailing absolutely everyone going by this chapter.

>having to wait 2 months to get to the real development

Attached: 1582607098939.png (308x628, 59.08K)

I don't die though. I do here. But so do they. I'm not forgetting let alone forgiving.

Yup, but I bet he'll be a real punchable sight descending upon Earth to interrupt development between Shinsha and Phos or Sensei and Phos

Everyone directly related to Phos, probably. I doubt he ever spent much time on say, Bortz for instance, the apex of the gem society and its status quo of usefulness = worth. I wonder if he fell in love with Cairn because of the 102 years of boredom while his human project was down for the count and he wanted the TV on something in the meantime anyway

>Another Cringeworm chapeter
>gross foot play
>no new chapter next month
What went wrong?

Ichikawa-sensei knows what she must do, but she is afraid to do it. So she delays the inevitable.

Aechmea's "base" lunarian form is your average Indian bodhisattva fuckboy though.
Still, he explained that they only stylize themselves after that to try and activate Adamant, so it makes sense that the moonies we know all have base forms with clothes related to their daily job (warrior, doctor, assistant, stylist). Aechmea's enraged form is probably not that out there either since Cicada could stylize himself too when he went down on Earth.

Attached: x24.jpg (1000x1436, 205.14K)

user ... they gave us a curious plot twist, Phos is 1/2 human. What do you want us to say about that ???

>plot twist
>everyone but casual elevens had called this forever ago

Attached: smug alloy Phos.jpg (798x900, 189.98K)

We already figured all of this out a long time ago due to what amounts to many of us obsessively re-reading and analysing every little thing in the story. Apparently the nips were fairly surprised by all the reveals in this chapter, which means that it was a necessary infodump for a large chunk of the demographic.

Seems pretty clear that there is an end in sight. We'll know if they jump the shark soon.

>Aechmea spying on Cairn through some unknown means

Why is there no chapter in april?

Yeah, I usually check the release thread every once in a while to see if a translation has been posted or not before actually going into it. For this chapter it wasn't until there was 400 posts or something.

OPEN YOUR FUCKING EYE, YOU FUCKING BITCH

Ichikawa will work on whatever extra is going to come out for volume 11's special edition instead. Next chapter in May.
I wish she did something fun like the card game again.

I mean, at least it's confirmed now.
