Would you let her put you into a coma, projecting you into a collective unconscious?

Would you let her put you into a coma, projecting you into a collective unconscious?

yes

No, I'm good

only if she sits on my face while in a comatose state

At the very end of the show they said there was a new system wonder what that does? The manga doesn't seem to yet show anything sigificantly different. And it isn't the dive we see right at the end of the show either so there is some time gap or something.

what

Dying in dreams is fun as it has no impact on your real life. You'll be fine I've always just kept on dreaming after dying a bunch in mine and it is total BS that you can't die in your dreams. I guess my will to live is strong or screwed up.

Sign me up for kearu net. The internet was overrated anyways. A controlled mass dive system would be the perfect mind sync similar to how in GITs they had the emotion on cyberbrain replay were everyone gets to feel exactly like the victim including the dying bit.

What happens when you put two empaths into the same well? We got to go deeper.

You don't like dreaming in absurd chase scenes were you end up dying a bunch and if your not good at dream space deaths you might end up in a much longer coma? I have those dreams all the time in real life they are fun sometimes after you die you I get put into an observer role it is even more fun then.

I want to save Kiki.

They need to promote abenomics psi-children will solve all of japans economic problems let alone murders.

I wonder if JW could ruin people turning them into murderers couldn't you also stop people from becoming murders by messing with their minds a bit?

Sounds like the problem I had with Minority Report. Instead of putting the pre-crime murderers into perma mind jail why not just stop them from committing the crime in the first place. Once you figure out their motive and what exactly they are going to do you can physically stop them and alter the conditions enough that the crime would never happen.

I hope they are at least employing her there so she is actually being paid a lot of money to do that kind of work that no one else yet can. Give Kiki a happy future or I'll riot.

I don't like highways so my dreams have highway vertical loops were you have to maintain speed or you die and bridges with no railings and missing sections. But then the nightmare mechanics create wild future city scapes in the sky with rails and highways running all about its pretty crazy what your brain can produce in your sleep. The moment someone creates a brain to computer interface it is going to be revolutionary.

Who could possibly refuse this

Its already happening. cbc.ca/cbcdocspov/m_episodes/inseparable

Bet researchers are like ooooooooo. And then they are going to goto china's animal research labs and plug some monkeys together to see what happens. (Lots of dead monkeys) But a BCI will pop out eventually.

dying in her dream projection puts you in a permanent coma.

she just wants to die and they won't let her

Only if you lack to will to live speed watcher.

She is happier now. They solved her suicidal depression with lots of dying in various ways for various people in both dream land and stair case.

I'd rather stay awake and save her

Who was best girl?

It was peer driven depression people tend to get that way when your boss traps you in a pool and just laughs maniacally when you ask if your ever going to be able to leave. Then he starts messing with your brain and starts making a bunch of murderers who kill you regularly in your dream scapes. Pretty sure that is not a self determined sucidal impulse.

You need to join the detective united group then as I'm pretty sure they just need to roll the clock back a bit on the wells and solving how to save Kiki from dying. This occured once in the sniper tower well anyways so it is possible it is just intentionally mistuned by the chief and the original designer.

Based Hondomachi, I missed the the little bit about the challenger's well being her first run at it being a great detective and also a shark rider in the process

Only if it gives me the ability to play Butterfly in the background on command.

Any theories as to how exactly Narihisago saves her?

Its just a dream unless you really think your going to die you won't actually die. But patients in that think they are going to die tend to die as they kinda do the star wars thing and lose the will to live. (So think happy thoughts or reading that previous statement while in hospital may harm your health, the placebo effect has a direct opposite)

he said that's what he FEELS. it was never stated that's what actually happens, and no one shown to die in one of those dreams EVER woke up. consider actually paying attention before calling someone a speedwatcher, dumbass.

No thanks. Rather than an collective unconscious, it's just a nightmare world.

Lucid dreaming can do that for you. Its really hard though as you tend to wake up in shock if you ever do become conscious inside your dreamspace. If they ever give Kiki a way to properly control her powers it would be a definite yes and people would pay billions to make Mind Linked Massive Multiplayer Universes.

One man's nightmare is anothers dream. It is also just the minds of a bunch of murderers I'm sure if you plugged into non murderers you'd get stuff like this.

Attached: frog_finds_ocean.png (1920x1080, 2.13M)

Most of the staff would have died yet most did wake up so how does that match up with your shitty logic. You think 98% of the staff can figure out how to not die to a firey explosion, trains running everyone over,... they showed that most that died did wake up. Only the clinically depressed stayed behind.

>One man's nightmare is anothers dream
Not really, no.

I didnt catch it, but what happened to all those people who died in the well?

It depends on your perspective. I love zombie nightmare dreams where they chase you down till you die rinse repeat.

Most woke up and a small fraction stayed in a coma and a smaller fraction likely died after they fell into a deep coma. I doubt accounting/HR/legal/reception is going to know how to solve a well let alone survive in one.

The new system is just prioritizing field work instead of well-work.

Wouldn't putting two people in at once be prioritizing well work?

why did he have to die

Trippy nightmares are also the best. I falsely woke up like 4-8 times in a row and then finally woke up for real. It was really strange. Your brain plays tricks on you in dream space to skip time (fake decade long "dreams"), reduce rendering detail, use jibberish text, ... it basically like a video game running on your IMAGINE. You only are letting "nightmares" get to you.

Did she? I thought Forehead wondering about Miyo having a full name implied that Thunderbolted was her first well. Narihisago wouldn't have jumped so quickly to the conclusion that they were diving into his well if Hijirido had done other wells before.

He hated being a great detective initially but was fufilled by the end of it. Also if he didn't die then his well could still update and there would be a small chance the evil guy would escape but since dead people don't update wells anymore it becomes a static snapshot that will never change.

Yeah don't forget nightmares are still just fake dreamscapes in your head they can't actually hurt you in any physical way unless you consiously let it. The its all a dream applies to even nightmares. If you accept that you should be able to deal with nightmares better and even enjoy them. This is one definite case when your mindset literally determines how you precieve your REM sleep memory fragments. So if you say no then it is a no for you but not everyone thinks the same way.

If you're enjoying it, then it's by definition not a nightmare. Your brain knows exactly how to scare the shit out of you and you finding conventionally scary scenarios fun doesn't mean you're a tough guy who doesn't afraid of anything. But yeah, I guess some people would enjoy what others would find scary.

I'm probably just a massive brainlet, but how exactly was John Walker 'making' the serial killers, beyond just letting them kill Kiki in their dreams? Also, how did he make them kill on specific days of the week?

If it is scary shit its a nightmare. Doesn't mean people don't enjoy scary shit. When your greatest fears are on a parade inside your REM sleep that would be classified as a nightmare but when you wake up and review your memories it depends on your consious mind's interpetation of the memories. You are free to define your memories however you like.

I don't think they really got into much details on exactly how but given it is their inner pysch that JW is playing around with and he joked that he pretty much is mind melded a bit with Kiki one would assume he just dived into people's id wells forcefully as there is likely no hard requirement on being a murderer that would just set off the detector constantly on any cogition particle danced around and poked them until they became more murderery. (He likely had to find people close to the edge and just push them over it)

Kiki can force non-murderers into wells, can share memories, thoughts so she definitely is just an empath that JW was using to basically do subtle mind suggestion on vunrable targets to turn them into serial killers to get Kiki experience points in mind linking in an unethical way so to speak.

It is how some people get PTSD vs some who become fearless when put into a real world highly tramatic experience. It depends on your ID well basically. Lets hope no one was messing around with it to make you a murderer.

>it depends on your consious mind's interpetation of the memories
I don't think we can agree there because now you're just making it needlessly complicated. If you were scared shitless in the dream and found it fun in retrospect, or vice versa, then it just becomes a matter of opinion on which point in time you'd want to define something as a nightmare.

You're not a brainlet, the show just doesn't explain. The serial killers were all afraid of him but we don't know why. They all killed a certain day of the week according to his wishes but we don't know why. Perforator said that one day JW appeared in his dream and asked him to kill a girl and he simply refused which implies he didn't have much influence on Perforator, yet Perforator still had a John Walker persona in his subconscious that we saw in episode 1, and they say his subconscious reacted like he was scared of him. Narihisago had a JW in his well too if I remember right. I think the only well that definitely didn't have a JW was Hondomachi's well.

Yes its 100% subjective is the whole point. I enjoy nightmares you don't. It that simple.

Fair enough. I haven't had a nightmare in years so this topic is alien to me at this point.

They are afraid of him because he went into their minds and beat them till they became a murderer. That would make people fear JW. They killed on certain days because he was making them work on a timetable because he is pretentious and had a god complex. The perforator is an exception because after he beat him into drilling himself it caused brain damage that likely made the suggestion work in strange ways. (like the guy who got love mixed up with murder murder)

cutest lil psycho

I just noticed this is very similar to the plot of Evil Within. It will only take a few bad eggs to turn the place into some nightmare shithole like Silent Hill. Fuck that

As you get older unless you intentionally mess with your sleep times and keep logs of dreams your brain tries very hard to erase those dreams so you are never supposed to be aware of them. They are just your brain throwing memories around and organizing things so it doesn't want you mixing that up for reality. The crazy dreams happen because it is a completely random and choatic process that requires you to be nominally awake but the hypothalmus paralyzes you and tries to suppress a memory feedback loop. The only thing people who mess with dreaming don't like is waking up paralzed when your brain wakes too quickly for your subbrain to react in time and you end up being unable to scream or move because your brain has disabled any actual muscle movement.

I think Hondomachi's theory about the 7-days killing involved every serial killer including Perforator, which would mean he followed JW's instructions after the hole.

duh

A word of warning interrupting rem sleep too much may also be harmful to your health. Only taken to extremes though as mice actually died when they just always stopped REM sleep but left them with enough slow wave sleep. This became an ethics problem a long while ago in human studies into dreaming but it seems like we can handle a few weeks before people go a bit insane from that. No one wants to see how long a human can last before they just die as that would be murder.

She's a serial killer of dicks.
