There was this horrible ecchi Korean manga about an academy of fighting girls in armour I read once that is one of my most hated series of all time. I am convinced it is written by either someone literally retarded or an actual rapist. I don't remember the exact details because it was ages ago and I only care about shonens now but there is an arc where one of the main characters is basically raped attacked mind abused by this pozzed cunt in a mansion, complete mood swing from the earlier chapters, its also revealed that they basically bashed them with a club and terrorised them the whole childhood or something and they also planned to kill them, they did similar things to others too and even killed her family members I think, then it gets to a point where the mc is finally going to kill the son of a bitch on a cliff when faggot sameface Bishie MC jumps in between them NOOOOOO NOT THE PSYCHOPATH RAPERINOOOOO DONT YOU REALISE YOURE JUST AS BAD AS HE ISSS NOOOOO and actually TALKS THEM OUT OF KILLING THE BITCH. What happens next chapter you ask? Did the motherfucker go to jail for his crimes? No one in either of those shows is remotely okay, user. They are both manga about the development of child soldiers.

That is complete and utter horseshit. Only one character in the biggest arc stood even a ghost of a chance of beating the big bad, and he was actually someone that surpassed his human limits. And ultimately he still had to play dishonorably to resolve the plot.
The main characters leave each other with unresolved conflict and codependency hanging over their heads.

The ugly people in A Class is really more of a style thing. Manga and anime are a really visual medium and the hatred groomed by the principal has literally made their hearts hard and ugly.
That said, it is pretty rich for Koro-Sensei to come to this rich kid prep school to help the flunkies when there's people all over Japan and the rest of the world experiencing true poverty and utter drought of opportunity.

Uhm the plot needle was actually set up very early in the story, with Ilumi using needles from the early stages of the hunter exam to change his face and kill his opponents.

The problem isn't the prior existence of nen needles, it's that it completely reshapes what we thought we knew about Killua. Everything Togashi gave us up to that point told us that he has a serious mental break due to his assassin childhood and torture and shit. But no, actually he was just being fucking mind controlled, and his mental issues didn't exist at all.

Killua's upbringing is still totally fucked. The plot needle only served to bring an irrational fear of his brother that overrode his logic. He is also logically afraid of his brother, but not to the point of casual mindbreak.

Nagisa was already distancing himself from his mother and taking refuge in his school life and classroom atmosphere before the events of assclass. The tentacle monster just taught him that he can still be the qt trap waifu on his own desires, without needing to suffer under his mother's boot.

Yeah exactly. It was supposed to show that Meruem and the Chimera Ants were never a threat to humanity to begin with. Human ingenuity and willpower was always going to trump them. Yes, Meruem is stronger than any human. So what? Whales are 100 times bigger and stronger than humans, but we kill them all the time.
And also, I always thought the "poison" was just radiation, but maybe I'm remembering it wrong.
