In the VN version of Onikakushi-hen, K1 clearly states that Rena and Mion look like they had eyes of a hawk, or an eagle.
In the anime/manga version, they had cat eyes to look more demonic.
Personally, I don't mind it either way.

More thoughts:

If we're getting 2-cour seasons, then there won't be worries of chapters getting too few episodes.

But if everything is a separate cour *and* Passione wants every cour to end at the end of a Chapter... that's where we might be seeing lots of cutting again.

I see 2 hopeful options.
(Note: Based on each chapters' VN auto-play length including tips, I think Ch 1-8 could be 5+6+7+2+6+6+8+11 episodes. But Ryukishi's novelizations cut Ch 3,7,8 down a bit; Ch 3 is shorter than 2, and 7 and 8 are brought slightly down closer to the rest. So I'll use 6+7+10 episodes for Ch 3,7,8 in the following examples).

1) Passione does 2 separate cours, then a 2-cour season on big success. For routes to not be rushed, Ch 4 would need to move to after Ch 5 though. And as someone who didn't finish the DEEN anime (yet), if you were to add back 1 episode (to hit the 26 episode max), would you add it back to Ch 7 or 8? Or are they both fine with 1 episode less than DEEN's?

S1: Ch 1,2 = 5 + 6 eps
S2: Ch 3,5 = 6 + 6 eps
S3: Ch 4,6,7,8 = 2 + 6 + 7 + 10 eps

2) Passione is fine with cours stopping in the middle of a cour, leaving a cliffhanger for later. (Again let's round Ch 3, 7, 8 down from 7+8+11 to 6+7+10. Only Ch 3 would be separated into 2 cours, and we'd be able to fit Rei too.)

S1: Ch 1,2,3 = 5 + 6 + 2 eps
S2: Ch 3,4,5 = 4 + 2 + 6 eps
S3: Ch 6,7 = 6 + 7 eps
S4: Ch 8,Rei = 10 + 2 eps

Which option would you prefer, moving Ch 4 to later or stopping a cour part-way through Ch 3?

And how would you prefer to distribute the episodes yourself? Curious to see both anime-only watchers' and VN readers' thoughts.

All I hope is that they start off Ch 1-2 not rushed and prioritize quality over quantity, so that it might sell better and convince them to a full adaptation with proper pacing.

I don't think these threads have gone on long enough to be called a general yet, they've reached bump limit pretty quickly and it's only the last couple of threads that have had decent discussion; the ones made right after the PV's release were full of inane faggotry and gay slapfighting. I don't see the problem with people wanting to continue on a discussion that started in a thread nearing its bump limit, now if these threads are still around in a week and take two days to hit the limit with a third of the posts just being user posting "bump" then you may want to start raising the alarm for the mods.

anyway, if it's a cour, then the most logical thing would be animating Onikakushi-hen, Watanagashi-hen and Taraimawashi-hen in the first season.

Why are we assuming that Passione will go for a cour in the first place? I know they have only done cours so far, but maybe they want to try something bigger? If they wanted to animate another cour, then why not pick up a franchise that' smaller, just like they did before with Citrus or Ishuzoku reviewers?

Taraimawashi spoils Tatarigoroshi and is honestly a fucking nothingburger. If you want to adapt console arcs, adapt Minai/Natsumi arcs. Of course, only after Tatarigoroshi.

Not if you do it right. They don't have to mention the GHD, just show Mion in the hospital as a survivor of a disaster. What this disaster was can remain hidden.
