Yeah, it starts to decay from there. Last arc worth a damn was Thriller Bark but that's only for the art and Brook. Not much else is worth it after that.

Chopper has done nothing of value or relevance and his post timeskip powerups are garbage. Honestly whenever a series does a timeskip it always turns to shit.

But if you're talking about the general story, they go to Alabasta, help Vivi free her not-Egypt kingdom which is ruled by Crocodile, a sand Logia, and his metrosexual henchmen. Luffy gets impaled by Crocodile's rod and survives. Later he fights Crocodile and beats him with blood because blood hardens his sandy body. Yet for some reason people treat Crocodile like a bigshot despite having a pisspoor bounty and no talent for haki.

Current arc is just terrible.
Plot armor and asspulls.
Characters who you're supposed to feel empathy for have 1 panel adventures and (predictably) die.

Got to Dressrosa and it never got good. Anyone recommending this series is just fucking with you, don't listen to them.

I've only seen One Piece back when it was on 4kids so my memories of it were that it was very cheesy, campy, stupid fun. But I don't think I can enjoy it nowadays, the art is polarizing. Very nice backgrounds and settings, but the character design philosophy (especially for the most of the women) are god awful. If only they weren't shaped like Barbie dolls then maybe they could be attractive.

By having a smaller cast and not dangling mysteries in front of readers for 20 years.

One Piece is a far from perfect series, but it has the best worldbuilding of any manga, so that alone puts it at a 9

Post time skip the quality has dipped hard. Dressrosa was easily the worst arc in the series. Yes, worse than fishman arc.

No more good fights, vast majority offscreened or uninteresting fights. The katakuri fight was retarded. Plot-induced villain stupidity on WCI went through the roof. Of course you need plot induced stupidity but this is a whole new level.

Majority of crew turned into one-dimensional walking gags. Chopper is Oda's worst victim, his character is now completely soulless.

Wano is looking a bit better though, with smart/interesting characters like Orochi and Queen.
