An old man requested those two to protect a cursed human bone china tea set that was an heirloom gifted to him from his dead master; he couldn't sleep because of the stress of responsibility and it was damaging his health, Barnaby ended up breaking the tea set to free the old man from all that stress. It is about keeping the memory of your loved ones close but not letting it keep you trapped in the past.

We do get to see the old man sleeping peacefully, Bunny breaks the rules and actually does deliberate property damage to help him but it all works out in the end.
The stories in the canon manga continuation often have a case where the problems faced by the civilians are also something Kotetsu and Barnaby face as well, such as when they stop a man from committing suicide his backstory sheds light on the social and economic structure of their city.
Tiger also lives in the lower bronze stage while Bunny lives in the upper class gold stage near their office.

Your mileage may vary, as with everything, but I'd say it's one of the most mature shows Nipland has produced since 2010. There's an actual plot, though the show is more of a character drama.

It is slice of life, character drama and action with comedy mostly focusing on the personal lives of the two main leads and their slowly bonding with each other and the other heroes.
It is good, but that is also a matter of people having different taste in anime; the nips love it a lot, the dub dumbs down the emotional aspects so it is better subbed if you want to give it a try.
