Over at /lit/ we're very obsessed with "greatest books ever" lists and influence and what not, it got me wondering, what's the "canon" of anime?
I could only think of LotGH, Eva, Spirited Away as definite shoo-ins as stuff that's going to be watched in decades to come. I guess some really old stuff like Gundam and Astro Boy are there too but who really goes back to watch that? Can anyone who's watched more than me create a definitive list? I'm not talking best anime here, but industry influence, importance and people still watching them no matter how old it gets.
What the fuck does that mean Did the whey get to your brain and damage it?
Lucas Nguyen
You didn't need to tell us you were a crossboarder, your trash 3DPD told us everything. If you want someone to hold your hand through the most influential series ask .
Hudson White
Once again /lit/ proves how fucking retarded it is by making a "Greatest Books Ever" list. Let me guess, none of you fedora-tippers included The New Testament, but made sure The Fountainhead got a Top 10 place, right? You goddamn cumguzzlers need to neck yourselves already.
>Over at /lit/ we're very obsessed with "greatest books ever" lists and influence Why are you wasting time on this shit instead of improving your writing skills?
Kevin Turner
pretty good list
Brayden Johnson
I watched Ace wo Nerae last year and couldn't for the life of me figure out what it had to offer that Dezaki hadn't already established in Ashita no Joe.
Gavin Williams
>normal fag guide to anime ewww
Jacob Cook
Fuck off
Connor Smith
But Akira is on there
Josiah Barnes
Eva ruins it
Jaxon Ward
>second place I'm morbidly curious what first place was.
Tyler Hill
even NGE and Miyazaki's movies ? lol nice bait. Now get out of here
Bentley Wright
It is indeed but that doesn't make what I said false. It isn't bait though.
Nicholas Nguyen
Moby-Dick, which has been first place for years now.
Isaac Long
Where's boku no pico?
Connor Bell
I knew I shouldn't have asked.
Wyatt Richardson
>3dpg fucking gross
Austin Mitchell
>3D parental guidance
Charles Hughes
>no Momotaro's Divine Sea Warriors Y I K E S
Lincoln Bennett
Look guys I like anime too but admitting that you have no testosterone and can't appreciate a cute girl is kinda cringe.
Brody Morris
>I guess some really old stuff like Gundam and Astro Boy are there too but who really goes back to watch that? Imagine being such a colossal faggot
Samuel Walker
You sound like such a retarded redditor
Carson Thomas
You are wildly out of touch with /lit/, wew. That is maybe the most completely wrong prediction I've ever seen anyone make.
Asher Morris
I want to suck her pussy dry
Jayden Rivera
Do you ever intend to watch any of these? You know, so you'll have something to brag to your newtrash friends about
I don't know why there are so many Asuka cosplay pics in /lit/ Also, any serious nigger would first read some work on mass media culture by Umberto Eco, because I can see a lot of you mixing high brow works with value on their own with ones that are more signifficant for their popular culture impact. That is, not understanding what you want to make your chart about.
Isaac Scott
>K-ON 3rd place in 2010 Wow, I knew Japs had shit taste, but not like this.
Justin Cox
Man, 2006-2011 was something else.
Leo Flores
I'd fuck her.
Nathan Walker
Everything Asuka is appeals to the /lit/ and Yas Forums personality. I can't even explain why, it just makes complete sense in my head.
Oliver Thompson
>I guess some really old stuff like Gundam and Astro Boy are there too but who really goes back to watch that? Have you never heard of /m/?
Asher Johnson
NHK's 100 years of anime celebration poll from 2017 for 1917-2017
>Tiger and Bunny What the fuck? Is that popular? At least PMMM is right after it.
Adrian Ortiz
This list can't be fucking real.
I'm gonna nuke those fucking Japs, taste like that cannot go unpunished.
Asher Martinez
you're doing it wrong, it's supposed to have some kind of condescending message at the bottom like "if you haven't watched at least half of these then don't even think about posting"
Colton Mitchell
youtube.com/watch?v=4t-GV4XcJak It is from the 100th anniversary of anime celebration done in collaboration with NHK, Japan's national broadcasting organization
