I get that it was for dramatic effect and all, but still completely don't like how old man and mom just talked for an hour, while standing in a middle of a burning castle, and only after that throwed Hyakkimaru into a hatch to save him.
Like, dudes, pick up both brothers and talk after you get the fuck out. I understand that old man waited to die for years, but wtf mom? And in the end his brother wasn't a complete dick. Of all his family, its only real bastard remained so Hyakkimaru can flex on him, cool.
