Any cute girls revealed yet?
>Any cute girls revealed yet?
Romin, but she doesn't duel.....for now
Sadly SEVENS alone doesn't attract enough posters
But at least that way thread doesn't have an excuse to be nuked fast.
It is what it is. A lot of cross boarders have stopped coming since Sevens shills a Japan only product.
>A lot of cross boarders have stopped coming
Sounds like a good thing to me, Yas Forums is cancer. It'll pick up more when there's actual material to talk about anyway.
Are the writers for this one revealed yet? Pls let it not be Yoshida and Ono anymore... if so I'll be interested.
>Director: Kondo Nobuhiro
>Series Composition: Takeuchi Toshimitsu
>Duel Composition: Hikokubo Masahiro
>Character Designers: Tadano Kazuko & Matsushita Hiromi
>Sound Director: Yamamoto Hiroshi
>Animation Studio: Bridge
NAS and Gallop aren't even a part of this, konami has assumed more control.
>since Sevens shills a Japan only product.
I don't think most of the anons coming here actually played the game though
Yes and iirc he's a total wildcard with no prior history of heading an anime original. Closest link to ygo is one zexal episode.
Yoshida and Ono are gone forever user.
>Kondo Nobuhiro
I'm happy... this one has a chance to be actually good
HELL YEAH!
Best news I've heard all year! Hope YGO brakes from the shitty writing/ directing curse in the 2020's decade!
Daily reminder that ARC-V still has the most depressive ending of all even if the Yus and Ruris are still alive inside Yuya and Yuzu
Is a completely new staff which makes it more exciting
A decent ratio of people do imo. I've asked anime & game related questions here a few times and they've always been answered.
Yeah, YGO may become trendy again.
Didn't VRAINS get into the Top 5 Anime of the year despite being a boredom? I say the Anime is still doing good
The anime has always been trendy. Zexal was super popular in Japan and ArcV worldwide.
You might want look at what they've done before. seems like it'll be average toy anime.
I'm happy if it is that. Still better than a train-wreck.
Not necessarily, some of that toy anime was kind of on the way out.
Among japanese schoolchildren maybe. Certainly not to whatever level you're expecting.
I was at Jump Festa in December, and while Yugioh was popular and Konami had a decent sized presence, it was still the least popular title there. YGO didn't even make it to the main stage for an event. However popular you think YGO is now it still isn't as popular as DM was in like 2003.
I don't care for shonenfags, fujos, and any other degeneracy found among the anime community. They already got Arc-V and Vrains. Sevens will be another Zexal at best.
I really haven't been into Yu Gi Oh since 5Ds ended, I really did not like Zexal and Arc V and I don't really care for DM or GX.
Is Vrains good in a 5Ds sense? I've seen some cool images of it but IDK.
and yet ycs's have huge numbers that attend.
People play the game, most of them, including me, just play petdecks. Metafags can go away.
>main stage
it's not even in WSJ though.
>Is Vrains good in a 5Ds sense? I've seen some cool images of it but IDK.
VRAINS is boring and has nothing of what made 5D's good. That said, you have shit taste
>hur dur
>meta bad
Girls rarely duel in Yu Gi Oh shows, the only ones that were truly dedicated to that were Asuka, Aki and Rio, and both Aki and Rio stopped being relevant really quick.
Not him but current Meta is boring as all hell
>open meta
>boring
>literally any deck can top
ok retard
What? "They" also got Zexal, and if Sevens turns out as good as Zexal, they'll "get" it too. What a frankly bizarre way of looking at audience appeal.
In 2004 Yugioh was in Burger King kids toys. Is Yugioh popular enough today for this to happen now?
I just asked because the promotional material looks the most like 5Ds, like I said and you stupidly didn't acknowledge I DON'T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT IT.
Sure, keep defending the mess that is your game.
I'd say Vrains is closest to 5D's in tone (older serious protag, alternate duel format, darker tone and plot etc).
It looks so fresh and exciting. Can't wait to see how it unfolds soon.
do you have anything of value to say or are you gonna keep pretending you actually play this game ?
Nope, no series has ever been nearly as popular as DM and in fact the popularity of the whole franchise has quickly declined to niche status since Zexal.
Let me handle the YGO brand
only because Yoshida made it gay in the manga. Zexal's main appeal was the lolis and it was popular among kids and lolicons.
There is nothing to defend when it's actually the only thing that keeps the franchise alive nowadays.
>pedo projecting on everyone thinking that's the only appeal
I may give it a watch, I really liked 5Ds' first arc tough I lost interest once they were done with the signer stuff and began veering into stories that felt like fillers.
>Is Yugioh popular enough today for this to happen now?
No Anime is this popular anymore for this to happen except for Pokemon
>fujoshi are degenerates
>lolicons are true and honest fans
If you do, I suggest giving it at least 20 eps or so, and skip the recap episodes. Have fun and I hope you enjoy, user.
Well then you are in luck cause VRAINS is all plot, just make sure to skip the lots of recaps cause, as you may know, the Anime was crumbling when VRAINS was airing
How does rio get on that list but not mai or yuzu or aoi?
>more than one recaps in a single season
>2017
it is still hilarious
he could have carried the franchise. Yuga was not needed.
Sevens' only real problem is movement away from Takahashi's style of design. Everything else looks fine. Of course attempt to go again with youger cast is not really good too, but that's one thing what I can live with, if story will be decent.
say what you want but Kotori was the main protagonist of Zexal and the reason people were watching Zexal every week.
>aoi
We don't speak about that
Mai lost a fucking duel to goddamn Tea, she's dead to me.
I haven't watched Arc V or Vrains so I wouldn't know about the other two.
>say what you want but Kaiba was the main protagonist of Duel Monsters and the reason fujos were watching Duel Monsters every week.
With that design? no thanks. Yuuga may look generic as fuck but Shouma ugliness is on a whole different level
>still trying to project
looks less ugly than shitvulva
Literal lolicons watching a Yu Gi Oh show for a character that never does anything duel-related.
>Mai lost a fucking duel to goddamn Tea
She surrenders you imbecile have you even read the Manga?
I'm not, she was literally in every single episode.
I do agree Kotori was one fo the main reasons people kept watching Zexal but the animation and cast were also good
Still doesn't make her the main appeal, tunnel vision lolifag.
I don't know what part of she threw the duel didn't you understand.
Hell, she whipped Marik's ass until the show decided to screw with her because
>muh egyptian chant
I heard from the grapevine that the sole reason Yugioh did a reset was because they couldn't figure out a hairstyle to give the protagonist. By resetting to a new gen and starting out with a tame hairstyle, the bar isn't set so high.
They were misogynists, but they are all gone now
>the show decided to screw with her because
it's more like the tournament wasn't the true focus of the manga.
Yes it was indeed the hairstyle and not at all the game being too complex for kids.
Yes, I know that and I know why she did it, it's been 15 years, EVERYONE FUCKING KNOWS WHY SHE LOST, I just cannot muster respect for anyone who loses to Tea for any reason, even if it was to help Yugi, plus what else does she do after that that is in any way relevant? Oh right, she loses to Marik and lets Dartz possess her.
Wow, what a great career.
This guy gets it.
There's not being the focus and there's Marik not winning a single legit duel onscreen for real.
the game is not too complex, it just takes a learning curve. the problem is that the game is not accessible to kids.
>Wild Drive kept teasing Yugi vs Marik
>Never happens
Shit OP
LOL, what kind of fucking bar is "She could have beaten fucking TEA GARDNER but chose not to"?
Mai never does anything more interesting or relevant than that, so yeah, congrats, your Yu Gi Oh waifu is a slightly better duelist than someone who isn't even a duelist.
>nowadays
Sure it's just "nowadays".
I mean, one kinds leads to another. Complex rules>steep learning curve>high barrier of entry
They could have just gone with a Valon-style design, I really hate that they chose to abandon the Takahashi style entirely.
