Can we have an honest discussion about My Hero Academia?
Why are the sales declining?
Can we have an honest discussion about My Hero Academia?
Why are the sales declining?
Can we have a honest discussion on Hero Academia? Why did the box office broke 10M in burgerland?
>honest discussion
>salesshit
lack of deku
Why the fuck isn't shounenshit banned from Yas Forums yet?
>implies that there can be no honest discussion about a certain media in a light of a sales / monetary value.
You dumb dumb
For what
>implying such a discussion could happen here without it being shitposting bait
Lurk more.
It's not declining necessarily. It looks more like it's at a plateau. Which is fine.
> implying op isn't baiting
Because it hasn't brought back Gentle Criminal
How the fuck do we not have wsj board?
>Can we have an honest discussion about My Hero Academia?
Yes
Its shit and I wish everyone who liked it would just leave Yas Forums.
"OP is baiting" is exactly my point.
When was the last time a new board was made?
can you faggot BNHA please stay in a thread or two dont make 7 thread at a time like smash tard
You literally bumped a thread after 11 minutes instead of letting it die just to complain about it, kill yourself retard
You mouthbreathing retard do realize that two threads were from people hating on bnha, right?
>MVA killed fujo interest
>The anime is more popular than the manga
Also lack of student shit which nips love for some reason
based retard
Taste in manga is subjective, but I can say that BNHA has a genuinely boring storing with sub-par characters, and I am sure a lot of people agree with me.
O MY SEVEN QUIRKS
people don't like it when the manga focuses on the villains.
I agree and think you are still being very nice with your wording here.
But the villains are the best part
i know, but it's widely known that nips have shit tier taste.
That is just because the manga is so terrible dogshit
The best part of dogshit is still dogshit.
proof that when something is popular that means its shit without substance.
Goddamn why can't nips have good taste for once?
Wrong, see Hunter X Hunter.
>Why are the sales declining?
because Endeavor is a costumed shit playing hero who still hasn't been exposed for the evil that he is
that has never focused on villains alone for a long streak of time. It flips back and forth.
The japanese polls tell otherwise.
Villains are pretty shitty desu
Only twice is a likeable and he is in fact, the one getting the focus right now
Compress and lizard are barely have screentimes
Toga is just crazy
After 270 chapter we dont know nothing about Dabi
That leaves only shiggy, you may like or not, still have some backstory
>Why are the sales declining?
lack of focus on deku. Villain arc killed the manga
no stakes
The fanbase was always:
40% fujo coomers who just want to schlick off to cute boys in tight clothes getting wounded and telling eachother how they feel.
30% male coomers who want to fap to curvy girls in skintight outfits fawning over their selfinsert.
20% young boys experiencing a shonen for the first time.
10% capeshitters, worldbuildingfags, shonenfags. etc.
As time has gone on, the fujos got less and less fodder and started quitting, some other shonen like Kimetsu attracted little kids while the anime was on hiatus, people who had other hobbies started just thinking less about it, etc. so the fanbase has started shrinking a bit.
>After 270 chapter we dont know nothing about Dabi
He has a quirk incompatible with his body and is buddies with Twice.
Burgers are known to be retarded.
The sales are declining? OH JOY
based
We know almost nothing about him. First he talks about changing society like Stain and didn't like crazy people like Shiggy and Toga. He also only ever killed thugs and other criminals, but never heroes, but then he begins to murder the sand hero and is fine with hurting kids. He's either a hypocrite or his ideals changed. Does he think of himself as a villain or as a vigilante?
>haha THIS IS YOU, so by default I'm virtuous and superior, because this and that and this IS. YOU.
the same religious narative again and again.
He was talking about fulfilling Hero Killer's ideals, so I don't see why killing a hero would come as a surprise, but yeah, he has only killed 1 2 heroes so far. It's foreseable why Hori avoids revealing too much about him.
I reached its peak in popularity years ago, and since then hypewagoneers found a new shiny toy in KnY. That's all. It's more like a plateau than a decline, nothing like the nosedive that things like Bleach or Soma took towards the end.
MHA it's not in a bad position now, really. With the exception of OP, every single series in Jump with consinstely higher sales/rankings is in a final arc of sorts, which means it has a guaranteed 2nd place in the magazine in the medium term. Given how Jump is having a lot of trouble finding new hits, MHA's only theat in the foreseeble future would be MHA completely shitting itself to the ground.
Ok, coomer.
This honestly, only Deku can save us.
Some jumped on the kny train... that's it, mha for this age for mangas and for its age in general is not doing bad
>this is YOU!
See? It's literally only about the others.
Some?
When did bnha sell over one million in a month?
I would assume because of the coronavirus sales would be lower all around people would be unwilling to leave their houses to buy physical copies and opt to buy electronically. As far as I understand the Oricon sales chart track physical copies distributed domestically. Also the chart used in the thread seems to be incomplete. I usually recall information like the number of weeks the title has been on the chart and the number of units sold cumulatively. It wouldn't exactly be the first time some poster deliberately omitted info to start shit. I could be wrong though.
You're wrong.
Only One Piece and until recently Yaiba could pull it off consistently. As far as I can tell Yaiba's overwhelming popularity seems to be exclusively Japanese. It has a smaller presence on a international scale compared to MHA or even series like One Piece or Naruto. To say nothing of its online presence. You can probably just take a look at Yas Forums. For every Yaiba thread on here there would be a another 4-5 MHA threads give or take. Even Naruto probably gets more attention here on Yas Forums compared to Yauba. I would compare it to Dragon Quest in that regard. Huge presence domestically, small internationally.
I think this can be cleared up if we can see the full chart.
And? All the international market is good for is shitposting.
Only Japan matters.
Because it's been properly shit since the end of the Gentle arc. Though it was declining since Kamino.
Western presence can't be small when it is the only series getting close to OP on M+.
Because the villains are shit
Does anyone have any numbers on that? Do they even track it?
You can see this.
user, they're literally on the side in the homepage.
Compare it to volume 25 during its second week.
It is declining.
So how do you read this thing? If you're trying to show a decline then it looks like every series in the top row is experiencing it.
remind me of when squid8fags tried to spam views
They changed it so it counts only unique IPs now though. And it was borutofags actually.
It shows you how many copies it sells weekly in a month.
Neverland, jjk and csm are all growing.
BNH is declining compared to previous sales.
I was talking about international numbers. Like who comes from where. Also these numbers seem kinda... minuscule. Not even talking about MHA. I would assume a series like One Piece would at have about twice what it has on the page. I'm using youtube as an example here. You can probably find a single fight scene vid with millions of views. This seems like barely a drop in the bucket.
That is the official WSJ international webpage, user. Where readers get their shit.
You can't use YouTube for this, it is content available for everyone trough recommendations by the YouTube algorithm. That is why you end up at 3am watching videos of ladies doing their nails.
Don't use that shit as an argument ever.
And it's still ahead of most series, when comparing the other series you see everything is down
most casual readers read on illegal site and don't even know what they're reading isn't official.
I mean, those...ARE international numbers? Japan doesn't use mangaplus.
The numbers seem low for a very simple reason, it's monthly views with unique IPs. View count is updated every hour with the new views, while the old ones get removed daily IIRC. While a youtube video is going to have multiple views per person and accumulate over time.
BNHA was supposed to be the next big thing, Horikoshi even said he wanted to surpass one piece and he's had interviews with Oda, Kishimoto and Kubo.
It didn't live up to the expectations, just like it happened with samurai 8.
don't forget that many don't even know it exist and think pirate sites as legit sites.
If youtube doesn't work as an example then how about manga hosting sites? This is just one site.
Kissmanga:
One Piece: 70,691,473 views
Hero Academia: 54,170,143 views
Naruto: 46,790,061 views
Kimetsu no Yaiba: 24,185,238 views
Manga Plus numbers seem minuscule in comparison. If anything this can be interpreted as a weakness of the Manga Plus website itself.
