Will this be the next WSJ best selling series?
Will this be the next WSJ best selling series?
Obviously
It will not only LIVE but thrive
Get out useless slut fiend
Never, Makiman!
Does it actually have a narrative worth following? As someone who's never read it it seemed like style over substance and was intended to be fairly short.
>As someone who's never read it it seemed like style over substance
What gave you that impression?
Stop typing like a pseudo intelectual and just read it faggot, it is good
Yes, there is indeed a story and it's looking wild so far. It's also more about the characters and their interactions ,developments, etc...
Needs a good anime adaption to boost it into the upper ranks of Jump
Who would adapt them?
The MC design mostly. People also rave about the art which to me was a sign that's it's shallow in other areas. Gives off a tongue in cheek vibe which is not something I see producing a long running/popular amongst normies series.
Odd, I remember Denji having gray blue eyes in the color pages leading up to Makima and Reze in their undergarments.
No, it can't appeal to a broad audience. It's way too gory with gross out humor.
It doesn't try hard in either style or substance.
nah. it does attract normalfags. just look at majority of csmfags
CSMfags gonna be the next Huntertards
Fun fans of a good series?
JJK sells better right now, but I think CSM's sales are growing faster than JJK's were with the same number of volumes
Not with KUBOOOOOO coming back
This is CSM thread. Go to the HxH thread if you're so obsessed w/hunterfags.
Why do people always ask retarded questions like this as if they can't pull up chainsawman on any site and read a few chapters in under 20 minutes
>It's way too gory with gross out humor.
for the same reason will be more popular on the west tho
Cause it starts discussion. Why do people post art and fan art you can google and find yourself? Dumb cunt
No. JJK will by a long shot. Its already nearly one of their top sellers pre-anime.
Retard equivalence.
is this manga worth reading?!?!?fags are room temperature IQ fuckwits who need to be led by the nose by popular consensus to actually read something
Then why do JJK threads die so fast here? I was under the impression CSM was way more popular from that. Not that I'm complaining about being wrong, JJK's pretty great.
>He thinks he's special for reading a manga published in WSJ
It is style and substance over plot if anything.
Fujimoto very obviously has planned most of this out in advance so its not written totally hap-haphazardly. But even still its not really focused on big set-piece changes like revolutions or world shifts, its pretty small in scope.
As for substance, its most focused on there being an ongoing plotline addressing the mental development of the developmentally stunted MC, mostly in the background, but each art builds him up a little more. Certain side characters and secondary protagonists have very interesting plotlines as well that are all well thought out and well executed.
Focusing on the side cast, it is handled ranging from fantastically in the case of characters like Aki or Himeno, and terribly where we'll get characters barely introduced and then have them killed off quickly for some sort of shock value.
Well the FP shitposting had led to to an increased awareness here on Yas Forums so there's that.
Popularity on Yas Forums is very different from a manga selling well. There are a lot of manga that get almost no threads but sell very well.
no one reliably scanlated JJK for ages so it never built up a big following. On its surface it also seems really fucking generic so a lot of people never even bother to pick it up
I hope not, its a meme series that was taylor-made for reddit
How come no one else finds it funny that in Japan the wall street journal publishes manga?
For a site that relatively few Japanese people even know about?
Why would you even bring that up? What is wrong with you?
No, too niche
>Does it actually have a narrative worth following?
From the creator of Fire Punch? Yeah no shit
nah. it's very normie
That's exactly what normalfags love. GoT has incest for example
>CSM
>too niche
Isn't it approached 100k sales per volume?
It's a good manga. The threads are just filled with Yas Forumsermin who have never read a good manga before, so they're often raving over the simplest shit.
>WSJ series
>too niche
nah the art is quite garbage, unlike OP and KNY
>implying anything in WSJ has worse art than KnY
Already past 100k per volume
It will usher in a new era alongside Jujutsu Kaisen
It's already a success, but won't be a long-ass series like Naruto or Black Clover.
Which is fine, not every series has to go on forever, I feel that Tatsuki is kind of guy that wants to create different worlds and stories, and isn't so concerned with shit being marketable. If he was, he wouldn't be killing characters like how it is supposed to happen in a proper story.
No, it's not even good
It's doing really poor for something jump's been pushing so hard. It's probably the most pushed jump series since TPN but it still rarely leaves the middle of the rankings I don't get it either since this is miles better than anything else in the magazine atm.
>le style over substance
Begone philistine
I hope he keeps jumping around doing different stories in different places. The guy has been pretty great so far through his one-shots and his serializations.
Fire Punch was, imo, pretty damn amazing and CSM is so far a really good shonen.
I want to see him try something different again next. Maybe a full romance or a mature drama. Just to see if he can do it all or if action manga with surreal edges is his box.
Fujimoto does everything Kubo does but better. Kubo is small fry in an industry with trolls like him, Go Nagai, Oh Great, and Hiroya Oku
HOLY BASED
He doesn't draw better thats for certain. Might be a better writer, but nowhere near the artist that Kubo is.
Kubo is probably one of the greatest manga artists out there. Fujimoto can be pretty good when he tries but most of the time he's just passable.
Eh, still prefer this.
>Small in scope
Gun devil says Hi
Nice to see my edit making rounds
Bones, their Mob Psycho adaptation is basically perfect, and since CSM has a similar rough artstyle they would be a perfect fit
Its essentially a non-factor in the story right now.
Its exists and is very large in scale, but we haven't seen it, haven't heard anything but about 2 paragraphs of info about it, and it hasn't been present in the plot beyond playing a fairly shadowy role in the background.
It's a fun series. The art and action scenes sucks, but the best part are the characters. However it attracts way too many normalfags that discussion here sucks. Fujimoto can put literally anything on the page and people will lose their mind. I guess they're like Quentin Tarantino fans. Still it's worth a read.
