Naofumi finds a wounded Ethnobalt, who tells him of the situation in Glass's world. 3 of the holy heroes have been killed and kizuna, the last hero standing has been captured. L'Arc's vassal scythe has been stolen and the world is in chaos. Naofumi agrees to help Ethnobalt in saving his world, knowing that raphtalia also there and at great risk.

Yeah, if you remember from the WN that after takt glass gave up on protecting her world since it went to shit as almost every other hero got killed, besides her and another holy hero. In the LN that's just about happening so naofumi and the others can go and help. Naofumi also has an incentive to go to glass's world considering raphtalia got whisked away there by the vassal katana while she was in captivity.

That seems an even better time for it. Without the plot dependent on any romance progress there's less of a need to make sure nothing changes until the series is ending.

At least naofumi and raphtalia FINALLY become a couple later on. Even crack a joke or two about how rapthalia's name would end up once they get married.

In Japan? Raphtalia Iwatani. Japan has some backwards rules regarding surnames, unless the woman changes her surname.
In her own world I'm not sure. Does Q'ten Lo work the same way as Melromarc, where the ruling dynasty names the country? And how are the local rules regarding married names? I wouldn't be surprised if Raphtalia stayed Raphtalia Q'ten Lo, while Naofumi changed his name to something like Naofumi Iwatami Q'ten Lo. (I mean... her family is far, FAR more prestigious than his)
