i feel that the succession arc is where Togashi lost his passion due to the fact it's mostly exposition. I can appreciate the ambition of it but it's the point where hunter x hunter became to complex and hard to follow. Even though chimera ant was very long and detailed togashi was able to balance everything and they where surprisingly few points where to felt to long.
