I'm pissed I missed the last thread. Still, it was fun watching this anime with you guys

Attached: 1583718168853.webm (504x648, 179.48K)

just watched it, what did you guys think of the ending?

It was a great ending. Not as I predicted but I didn't mind. They definitely didn't pull a last minute Kado on us.

it's a good ending, not amazing but it didnt shit the bed. I think I liked it more on a second watch

It contrasts his failure to save the girl in the not really a live stream murderer which was sad/depressing for him. They both got better by the end of the show so it was good character development. Kiki isn't suicidal anymore and Nari has found resolution in his families death.

Pretty sure they knew what the reaction to that would be. The show really knows how to have fun and have a serious story at the same time. Its hard to do that properly.

I cried a tiny bit when it logically turned out they never would kill her as that would be pretty evil thing to do.

It ended on a pretty hopeful note. They didn't kill kiki which would have made me riot so everything is going to be fine.

The show's imagery is always very fitting to what was happening. Vs. Babylon that had policitians floating aimlessly in galaxies as they talk about the trolly problem. (Babylon could have been something different at least at the start it had the similar makings of a murder magic mystery that I'm into but some how mangaed to be just really bad and have a shit ending)

This reminds me of some other show.

While Re:Creators concept/premise was extremely good the execution and ending were horrible. They go with a lets genocide 95% of the magic people to "save" the world. The portal they walk through at the end just kills them for all intensive purposes as their original works don't magically update their wells to account for the earth adventure so their instance in earth just ceases to exist after walking through the portal. Re:Creators really pissed me off for botching an idea I wanted animated for years.

The music direction in the show was perfect in my opinion especially when it mattered.

I hope the manga will make this scene a reality and not just a glimpse of her dream

I'm sure they are actually going to work on letting her out of the pool at least to have proper meals/dreamless sleep inside the building or something and talk with her great detectives in person.

I liked it. Easily my AOTS. Left it on a hopeful, but depressing, note. Wasn't there a manga or something? I really would like to see Kiki freed from her hell

i still want to know what that piano piece is they used a couple of times in the show
it was in this episode when momoki was talking to kaeru before she asked him to kill her

Lucky

I though it was a guy and a penguin from the thumbnail.

Maybe something from track 19 or 21 of the soundcloud sountrack, soundcloud.com/slavek-kowalewski/sets/sountrack

Your image recognition neural network is clearly broken.

thanks for this, its number 8 on there

I thought it was crazy in a great way. gonna sit on it, but happy with it

I want to fuck this penguin.

That is what I expect from magic crime drama mysteries. Good crazy stuff. The heartwarming stuff and emotional roller coaster was extra bonus.

I think she is a lot happier now that the evil chief isn't messing around with her brain space. While its not ideal that she can't leave the pool just yet it is a lot better of an outcome than lets just euthanize her.

Oh yeah did those anons finish the excited gaijin image?

Abe would be pleased.

Why can't they just drill a hole in Kiki's head? That should fix her.

I don't like the whole return to the status quo normal world kind of ending where the magic bit is gone. Not to mention the hole man is dead unfortunately and that is just mean.

Holes magically fixing everything would've been hilarious short term, but retarded on a cold analysis.

would you Yas Forums?

I'd make a better well side control system so you don't need a suit. The Kura building is clearly designed to contain the effects of her power within the confines of the building in the unlikely event the pool isn't functioning or she walks out of it. Engineering controls are better than PPE.

Bland and status quo. Of all shows, I was not expecting this one to close on a "read the manga" ending. Very little got resolved. It just didn't manage to trip and fall on its face, which to be fair is what 9/10 anime originals end with. But none of the main conflict with Kiki was fixed in any way, and Narihisago didn't become the savior he's always tried to be inside, he just told us he's happier now because he's accepted his life is shit. Uraido got locked in a well but it's not impossible for him to get out someday. Hell, even the comatose people could wake up by some miracle. Completely ended with a sequel in mind, one we might not ever see.

Uradio got sent to a collapsing well that very likely ends in total non-existance. The chairs don't eject dead pilots automatically. The well that chair is in has a dead owner so is now a static environment that can't change anymore because wells don't update when the owner is dead. So all signs point to your not a great detective.

>Narihisago didn't become the savior he's always tried to be inside
It's kind of impossible. He'a murderer in jail and he doesn't know any SCIENCE to do anything about the wells.

Plenty got resolved. Kiki isn't suicidal anymore. The evil chief is hyper dead with a dead body and a non-existant soul. Nari has gotten over his grief, the scope of the system is widely expanded as the evil chief wanted but he was an ass so is now dead.

The shark respected and feared Hondomachi

The main conflict was not fixing Kiki she wasn't broken to begin with did you not get that point. It is just their world's science/engineering isn't quite upto the task yet to let her walk around safely for non-psi people yet.

next season sakaido will live happily ever after with hondomachi as his new wife and kaeru as his replacement daughter

Sequel or not sometimes open ended endings are good. I think plenty was resolved by the end of the show without closing the door on the story. It differs from absolute shitshows like Psycho pass 3 were they literally don't end the show in any way but it turns out it is all and hook for their movies if you actually want to see the ending to their shitty show.

>Nari becomes Momoki's in-law

>very little got resolved
wat

Speed watchers miss every detail it seems.

That's a good start, how do we crush his hopes and happiness?

Well for one every world government would kill to have her powers for other purposes or would really want them to all be dead for the kind of perfect information gathering capablities they have.

On the one hand I want doujins. On the other hand if there's any doujin it's gonna be a snuff one.

Don't worry Nari will just have to have a nice long talk with all those people and it will be all better.

I want vanilla Hondomachi doujins but I just know they'll all be skullfucking crap.

>prefrontal cervix

> I was not expecting this one to close on a "read the manga" ending.
We've known about the manga for months

Attached: 1576137970166.png (274x341, 14.13K)

Well the user can't even keep track of the bigger details inside the show so what do you expect.

Shark rider Hondomachi.

I found it to be rather disappointing. I think that the show could've ended then and there if the ending was tweaked instead of continuing with a manga. It just won't be the same as watching an original anime with insert songs every week.

And of course I get two 7s.

What would you tweak to make it a better ending in your opinion.

>7
Opinion discarded.

I'm mad they're off center so I can't use this as a wallpaper

Honestly, I would just wrap up the loose ends:
>Kiki is saved by Narihisago
>Kiki's powers are stabilized
>Fukuda wakes up or dies
>Inami dies
>explain what happened to Shirakoma
Narihisago doesn't need to have his sentence absolved, nor does he need to marry Kiki or any ridiculously wishful thinking like that, but I would've liked for him to have saved Kiki at the end. At the very least, she should visit him in his cell, and Momoki thanks him for his deeds.
I'm glad that the story is being continued with a sequel manga than if it ended where it did.

Hopefully they'll fix it in the Blu-Rays.

Not nearly enough time, that's always the problem

I wanted a more definitive ending for Narihisago and Kiki. It's fucked up that Kiki has to keep on doing this shit and Narihisago is still totally miserable. The entire Mizuhana-whatever and the organization running it is all kind of shady and I thought there was going to be more of a resolution for it.

>Kiki is saved by Narihisago
How? He's can't solve her problems he's just a former cop in jail.
>Kiki's powers are stabilized
How? And the inventor of the Mizuhanome System is dead
>Fukuda wakes up or dies
>Inami dies
Coma thing happen to everyone who died in the dream world.
>explain what happened to Shirakoma
The only good point, it should have been mentioned earlier. Like the chief killed him or something.
