Yas Forums hates shoujo/josei

true, but there seems to be a decent amount of anons who do enjoy them whenever shoujo threads come up. i guess those anons read this already
anyway i've read the chapter now and it's incredibly cute. thank god for leads discussing their thoughts and feelings with each other

It's not even shoujo, Yas Forums just has shit taste.

Cute mob face.

>It's not even shoujo
It sure smells like it.
Anyway still cute

I dig it user

It's a seinen romance.

Already read it.
Cute. The lack of drama is welcome.

>High school romance
>Seinen
I disagree

A shoujo or Jousei would have way more drama

>6 chapters in
>Tranny character
Yeah, no

What's wrong with that? It should be elementary school to be considered seinen or what?

I wanna hug the main girl

You know I like what the translator's doing with this and Satou-san. Incentivize people buying the actual volumes (and thus putting money in the author's pocket) to get the releases a little faster before it goes up on Mangadex.

As opposed to shit like Kirei's Cake whose mother has been dying for like 5 years with all money going to themselves and not the author.

It's seinen since it's in a seinen magazine but it's clearly drawing largely from shoujo.

Mitsumi's nice but she's taken so I'm an Egashira guy.

>no retarded drama bullshit
>just solved the misunderstanding with common sense
is this allowed?

Such is the power of seinen romance. Maybe it's because they're not bound by shoujo editors expecting shoujo plot cliches.

I saw Skip to Loafer at my nearby Kinokuniya.

Summary seems interesting, I'll give this a look.

It's cute, characters are really likable, it's so far fairly drama free.

This is a girl oriented manga but it's definitely not shoujo or it runs in a shojo magazine. Shoujo manga would have to require it be more tropey. But with that said seinen can be tropey too. Pict related is a non shoujo manga popular among female reader

I could have sworn that was shoujo. These labels really don't matter.

They haven't really mattered since the 80s.
Shojo and Josei are more meaningful than Shonen or Seinen, with the latter two acting as near catch-alls, but none are really important.

I do wonder if having to be less tropey leads to female authors going to seinen magazines over shoujo. Bouquet For An Ugly Girl is very shoujo (the MC is even a shoujo otaku) but is published in a seinen magazine. I'd argue there's some shoujoish elements in Meguro-san too but that's also a seinen.

Maybe female authors who want to do romance without a lot of drama see it as the better option where in the past they would've gone to a shoujo magazine.

Wait what? Which one is the tranny or are you just making a joke?

bump

Oh no

I think he's talking about the senpai from the drama club who I don't think was an actual tranny just getting into a role (but he probably is a fag). Only other character that makes sense is Mitsumi's aunt who actually is a tranny but she's fine and has been in the series since the first chapter.

>Mitsumi's aunt who actually is a tranny
I was always under the impression it was just the art style. Maybe I should go back and stop speedreading.

I can't remember if it's said in the translation notes or directly but I do remember seeing that the aunt is a guy living as a woman.
