Dont know but my penis is erect

kaneki was always a little bitch inside but the manga was at least consistent

tis called complex character

Because nips only give their mangakas a week or 2 to come up with the plot AND draw it. Fucking retards.

can you post more of the party images for old times sake, user?

Ishida cleary worked on the first part of Tokyo Ghoul for a few years(before getting published),after the end he should've gone to monthly releases for part 2.Mangakas schedules are extremely retarded and I'm still impressed with his work on the first half of Tokyo Ghoul.

Hehehe

I agree, he also shotted himself in the foot by having so much side projects, Tokyo Ghoul had enough material to last at least 7 more volumes with all the unresolved stuff but he was dead already by year 5 so he had to rush or become HXH hiatus galore tier

But everything up until after Rose arc comes close to the original, if not better? And then the quality of the manga started going downhill at some point during Volume 9, simultaneously he started working on his otome game. Coincidence?

Please return Ishida-sensei!

Daily reminder that Tokyo Ghoul manga is canon up to graveyard epilogue. Everything after the Akira_meets_Haise graveyard epilogue including the whole :re manga is nothing but Kaneki pre-death hallucinations.

But... we love Haise...

This but unironically
Even Kishimoto returned and now Kubo after 4 years, he'll be the next one

Nothing changed user. The series is only 15 volumes long. We had the kino tragic ending.

How do you even top this fight? The whole :re feels like a joke compared to this.

Attached: 002.jpg (1115x1600, 713.76K)

That's literally the point, though? TG is the Tragedy, :re is the Comedy.
I fully agree. It was clear that he was burnt out after producing Part 1, and especially after Cochlea. Apparently around that time, Ishida was working on other side projects, and that "Jack Jeanne" game, which likely explains the quality dip during the Clown Arc.

Why hasn't Ishida updated his twitter for 2 weeks now? Did Corona catch up to him?

I unironically liked the first Shachi - Kaneki fight better, just in terms of fight choreo alone. But then again, TG fights in general are very short and it's more about the dialogue and what the characters are saying.

arima...

It is a joke. Most of the prominent and hyped up fights either ended up becoming a jobfight or a goddamn fucking offscreen fight. Tatara a huge jobber, Arima vs Orca happening in a few panels, Kaneki jobbing to Juuzou and co which happened offscreen.

>Tatara a huge jobber
>Engages his Kakuja and has his brain fried + fighting a one eyed ghoul = somehow jobbing
This isn't even remotely true. The temperature of his fire was indeed bullshit, though.
> Arima vs Orca happening in a few panels
Did we really need to see anything from this fight beyond the outcome? I don't think anyone expected Arima to lose to Shachi regardless.
>Kaneki jobbing to Juuzou
Did you forget that he hadn't been eating for shit, on top of the fact that he was exhausted and well beyond his limit in terms of regeneration?

:re had issues, but some of you legitimately complain about shit that is easily explained.

>jobfight
Fights in this series have always been heavily convenient, or victory being determined based on character growth, or consequences. Yet, people somehow deemed that the series had established power levels or something like DBZ, when that's far from the case. Rankings aren't even accurate of fighting prowess, and other factors. Hairu slipping on blood and getting her head knocked off was a prime example of this. There's awkward situations like this in Part 1 as well.

Haise was killed by Eto. Everything else is a pre-death hallucination.

We were robbed of what could have been a very emotional fight.
The outcome didn't need to change, but just skipping it to a defeated Kaneki is something that you'd see in Cartoon Network.

Give him until early-mid 2021. His game is releasing August this year

If Ishida really wanted to revisit Tokyo Ghoul, he could make a "Root A" of sorts, where Kaneki does indeed because a ruthless dictator, due to "circumstances". Probably revolving around Touka, or Hide's demise. I imagine that it'd start right after Kaneki becomes the Nameless King, and everything from the Clown Arc, to Dragon and beyond would result in a different scenario.

This is what I was thinking, he normally updates at least once a week. Don’t die on me Ishida...

This sounds nice and all but Ishida is fucking done with TG, I don’t think he wants to remember it or work on anything related to it again.

>Kaneki jobbing to Juuzou and
>fights against two arata armor wearing top tier special investigators
>one of them baits himself as a meat shield so they could land a hit which ended up being fatally (kaneki had shit regen, because he was starving)
I swear, you fags would call anything "jobbing". Also, offscreening that fight and proceeding with that meta commentary next chapter was pure kino

I know. I'm just speaking in what if's. I'd like to see what Ishida would do with a new series.

I’m glad that even though he was completely fucked up the ass by the end of TG, he hasn’t lost his passion for art yet

Haise was too sweet and too based for this world. I liked dark Kaneki too though

What was Yas Forums's reaction to the final of the og?

Pretty much, this. I know this is Yas Forums, but people use the term "jobber" too much for their own good. The meaning is completely lost, and especially in the scenario of Kaneki vs. Juuzou & Hanbee.

I only have this cap from when ch 143 dropped. Wonder if there were threads during the Arima kaneki fight, might check out the archive later

Attached: 1446949080955.jpg (2295x1234, 870.29K)

The art went up and down, but for the most part, I loved it.

>We were robbed of what could have been a very emotional fight.
It still had emotional impact regardless, didn't it? Shachi's little exposition between him, Rize, and Yoshimura was nice. We didn't need an entire chapter worth of fight for this.

Haise was my favorite, he deserves his own fluffy manga.

Potterneki as a phase, should have truthfully lasted longer. The pacing between Rose, and Cochlea was so damn awkward.

I remember lots of self-inserts being pissed about Kaneki "jobbing" fight after fight, they're probably used to the "shonen hero wins every fight, no matter the circumstances" trope. That's why the whole Kaneki vs Arima fight and with him getting curbstomed and both of his eyes pricked out was some stuff they never expected

Honestly, the very beginning of Kaneki reuniting with his ghoul friends and becoming the leader of Black Goat was a small highlight before :re went back to shit.
I'd say the reunion, the early planning and the wedding were good, and then it all flopped once that was done.

Ah, I wish I was reading TG at the time to see them cry. The finale to OG is pure kino.
I wonder if Ishida can do something that masterful in his next work.

>The art went up and down
With the latest art book release we now know the answer to this. Dude was probably tired of writing his series that he spent so many years on, so he wanted to go all out on his otome game.

I think a lot of people read TG with a shonen manga trope mindset, and got absolutely blasted at a majority of the developments that took place. That, and Kaneki never really having a set goal in mind at the end of the day.

I meant generally. He posts a lot of art on Twitter

I don't understand the jobbing thing for the original. Kaneki getting bodied by Shachi, and Arima makes sense. They had more experience than him. It took a Kakuja, and a borderline mind break for him to overpower that one investigator during the Kanou's Lab Raid.

We needed more Quinx hijinks.
The story was reaching a new height during the whole Nuttcracker and Rose raids. And the other Quinx were desperate for more development, especially Neet-chan and the crazy tranny.

>I don't understand the jobbing thing for the original
Me neither, user. I mean you literally had retards spamming that kaneki jobbed to hanbee + juuzou while starving (even in this thread). My guess is, that the average JUMP reader cannot follow a story unless it involves heavy handed narration that explains everything that is being shown in the panel.

Attached: C1Z2v1U.png (724x904, 258.54K)

It was actually great that Kaneki just didn't get a free power up after his awakening.
I really liked that despite Kaneki training more and reading martial arts books, he still got curb-stomped by the more experienced characters, as it gave the impression that the story was flowing organically... at the time.

is it time to reread tg?

If he didn’t lose you’d get faggots calling his win an asspull. You can’t win.

Based Haisebros. The funny thing is, Haise was fucking hated for most of the time while the series was still running.

I’ve been meaning to do it myself lately too...

I blame that particularly on Kaneki's own incompetence as a leader. After Kaneki became the King, there were a lot of ups and down, but never any consistent quality like Rose. That's just my opinion, though. Most of :re after Kaneki became King, devolved of people saying "just wait on the quality to return, it's coming soon!". I was one of those people.

That's honestly a damn shame. It's sad that he rushed his series like this. If he was tired, I'm sure he could have worked out a plan to turn the series into a monthly publication.
Oh, yeah. His stuff on Twitter has been pretty good. He's improved a lot at digital drawing.

What? I remember people loving Haise back when :Re was already bad. I think he was only hated during the time he was "present", because of impatient edgy Kanekifags

So what was the full list of Kaneki's mental diseases?

Attached: x8l9jdiZc4g.jpg (897x1271, 223.57K)

I think the most underutilized Quinx, was Saiko. She didn't get enough focus. Apparently she had been sold off to the CCG by her mother, apparently she had a brother in the CCG? None of this was ever highlighted, and her getting that RC disease in the ending wasn't even important.

The new Q's are utterly irrelevant. Sadly. Aura was the only one who truly did anything, but he was an annoying character. It's a shame, because Hsiao had ties to the Sunlit Garden, and apparently V jacked her from China or some shit?

And was she based?

Personally, I'm waiting for the final volume (viz) to release in a month. And from what I've seen so far, Ishida did couple of redrawings, added more shading here and there and sometimes even changed dialogues. So I thin it's worth it alone for the better scan quality and the touch-ups. Also, most fan translations fucking sucked

Attached: v13 redraw.jpg (2337x2425, 1.95M)

>viz

To this day, we still have people complaining about Kaneki vs. Juuzou/Hanbee, when it was such a simple situation.
>Man borderline didn't have any food, and was weakened from taxing his Kagune usage to fight off investigators
>Fights two relatively top tier investigators, Juuzou being hailed as Arima Jr, both in Arata Armors
>Kaneki blanked out using his Kakuja, since that's always a double edged sword
>Hanbee was throwing himself at Kaneki as a shield, so Juuzou could precisely cut him down
>"Dude what the fuck? Kaneki you're a jobber, REEEEEEEEEEE"
I'm not defending Kaneki's redundant actions, because he's made many mistakes, but fuck, it's so damn simple. It's like reading comprehension doesn't exist to people.
