Jujutsu Kaisen

I’ve been seeing this series hyped up more and more each week

So be honest how good is it

Fuck off shill.

I want to know too.

It's a shonen written by somebody who grew up reading shonen but thinking the writers were always too stupid. There are a lot of the classic tropes and themes played straight, but the characters all act logically and you don't have much in the way of people acting stupid to progress the story.

The pacing is a bit harder to get into...the arcs are basically styled to get into the action as quick as possible. There have been only a handful of chapters where nothing happens and the characters get downtime, for the most part, they are going into missions or whatever and always start in media res. The writer also has a lot of interesting lore and worldbuilding or whatever, but it almost never gets focused on. People will say some phrase that has to do with magic, but never explain it, and then it ends up being relevant later and you need to intuitively figure out what it does (though that might be because of the inconsistent translating groups). An example of this is characters talking about bindings and curses, but never explaining them until later in the series somebody says: "Yeah, I get it. You tell me your power and it makes you stronger." And it retroactively makes a lot of sense.

Chainsawtard here and I'm also curious

no, its shit, literally black clover but better

Go read it and visit the thread we already have up

>black clover
You've never read it but I'd love to hear how you think black clover and jjk are similar go ahead talk out of your ass

>It's a shonen written by somebody who grew up reading shonen but thinking the writers were always too stupid
Ah yes. The basement-dweller-logic phenomenon. I know this quite well.

shut the fuck up, nobody cares about your shit manga

Thanks for proving my point

Generic story about japanese wizard vs demon but without cool and appealing character design like Bleach and D-gray man.

I'm stuck around episode 20, will there be any significant world building? It feels like the manga is either all action or nothing.

It's better than most shonen, but has a lot of issues.

>literally black clover but better
What’s with this meme? People said this about Mashle too.

>I’ve been seeing this series hyped up more and more each week
Go back to Twitter

It's just Jump shills desperately scrambling to create a new hit now that KNY is ending and One Piece and MHA have sunk into the mariana trench

it's a bleach themed hunter x hunter with naruto bloodline nen and is far better than anything i just listed

Too bad either the author or the translator has garbage naming sense when it comes to technique names and the mechanics of the world.

Every thread until Gojou gets unsealed

Average, Chainsawman is better.

CSMfags but for patricians.

It's fine.

It's focussed too much on action. There is a lot of focus on the power system and its terminology. But the whole plot is kind of boring. There is almost 0 worldbuilding. The characters are also kind of bland but they do have potential.
I think the worst part are the villians. I just really don't give a fuck about them but they keep coming back and won't die.

Best shounen out right now. Better world building, characters and best story in WSJ. I didn't start reading until the hidden inventory arc but it's definitely something that picks up in the later chapters. Around chapter 27 is when I really got hooked in. Of course there are going to be a lot of fights. I don't understand the complaint of too much fighting in a shounen. That makes no sense

this

also this

>200634570
There is nothing in common between JJK and BC.

Mashle at least has the excuse of the MC has no power in world with power and is physically strong, but that's where it ends.

It's not bad, pretty fun, it's hard to follow at times because the art is pretty stylized and you might need to re-read some chapters. I recommend it until Yas Forumstards get into it then you won't get comfy threads here.

Literally this.
>generic story
>generic set of characters with 0 cool designs
>generic artstyle
>every single trope that is out there is hamfisted in this manga

cant wait to see your doomposting in JJK threads once the anime airs and it becomes Yas Forums's new favorite shounen

Attached: w7cchCu.png (592x512, 300.57K)

>Generic artstyle
Objectively wrong

Nah, I usully don't hang around threads about manga that I dropped. I recently finished chapter 73 and at this point I am considering dropping it, because it is so generic that I feel like I've seen this 100 times already, no need to continue reading. The only redeeming qualities are:
1) Characters act less retarded than in your average shounen
2) It has actual gore, which is a more realistic depiction of things than in your average shounen.

this, basically, but the villains are alright
>Yas Forums's new favorite shounen
that doesn't suddenly mean that it's good, user

its shit, but after the boringass tournament arc it started to get good
if you enjoy Chainsaw or undead unluck, you might enjoy JJK

i would rather not have Yas Forums in my jjk threads but when the anime starts its inevitable that the threads are going to become more active and probably turn into a general.

JJK is the most unique thing in WSJ right now. this generic talk just sounds like doomposting. all you do is call things generic but you dont specify what is exactly generic. Who is generic and why?

>but the characters all act logically
There’s barely even a story, how on earth could the characters act illogically when everything just happens?

The threads are gonna be fucking garbage. Brace yourselves.

>There’s barely even a story
>he doesnt know

We just had an entire flashblack arc about detailing the sensei's past and current motivation, I wouldn't say it has zero world building.

You are speedreading JJK if you think there is no story. In the first volume gege clearly explains that the main goal of the curses is to wipe out the "fake" humans, seal gojo and get sukuna on their side. You guys really have to start reading slower if you are going to criticize something.

>Who is generic and why?
Main character is a walking cliche: parents are missing, the only known relative dies, upbeat personality, above average guy who is also the chosen one and the only one capable of containing the big bad inside himself, believes in a power of friendship, overcomes obstacles with the power of friendship, and he is also the one who will bring change to the shaman society - I've seen this 100 of times, MC doesn't have anything that stands out and keeps you interested in reading.

Support characters are all "1-quirk-instead-of-personality" types: they ALL have some kind of tragic back story(for what purpose?), and they are so bland that their whole personality revolves around their 1 quirk. Ha-ha, that guy is talking with sushi ingridients, isn't that hilarious and original?(No, it's not, I've seen this 100 times before).

The same goes for villains, they are also "1-quirk-instead-of-personality" types, with the exception of shaman guy(the author actually put in some work into him). I was hoping that the curse born out of human fears would show some growth when he used that territory thing, but no, he is still the same.

As of chapter 73, the only thing that had me like "wow that was actually something good" was when the jellyfish guy died. Expecting a generic shounen, I thought that they will pull something out of their asses to sve him with the power of friendship, but no, he died. So that's a good thing.

it filters retards and welcomes patricians. the only criticism i've ever seen it get on here is that "it's bland" or "it's generic". it's very likely that everyone that shits on it has not read jujutsu kaisen to completion (or even at all). it will also get #1 on toc this week!

>undead unluck
UU is already being used for reference.

>believes in a power of friendship, overcomes obstacles with the power of friendship, and he is also the one who will bring change to the shaman society
I want you to show me the page where yuji wins with the power of friendship

thank you based mahitofag

Name 99 other characters who use food recipes as words because if they speak normally their power would kill most people. You may have broken a world record for fastest speed reader if this is your opinion of the characters in JJK. This sounds like the opinion of someone who did not read thoroughly.

Attached: 4Vz0OS5.png (592x512, 202.43K)

>I want you to show me the page where yuji wins with the power of friendship
Sorry, in this case I shoould have phrased it as grandpa's "you must help people, yujo!" stuff. It serves the same purpose as the power of friendship in, say, Fairy Tail, so I called it power of friendship.

>the only known relative dies
In the very first chapter, to give the main character a driving force behind the entirety of his actions. Name 5 other manga to do this.
>Upbeat personality
I don't see how this is an issue, you're just nitpicking at this point.
>above average guy who is the chosen one
This is still somewhat off, but it's the most accurate one so far.
>believes/overcomes in a power of friendship
Show me an instance where he does this
>and he is the one who will bring change to shaman society
When was this stated? There's literally nothing to back this up.
>Support characters are all "1 quirk instead of personality"
The only character you could even COME CLOSE to considering this to is Inumaki, which even then, you have to be retarded if you think someones personality is based off of only what they say.
>they ALL have some tragic back story
Literally name 3 characters in Jujutsu Kaisen with a tragic backstory. If you bring up Hidden Inventory you're retarded.
>That guy is talking with Sushi ingridients, isn't that hilarious and original?(No it's not, I've seen this 100 times before)
Name 3
>The same goes for villains, they are also "1-quirk-instead-of-personality"
The more I read this, the less I believe you actually read the manga.
>I was hoping that the curse born out of human fears would show some growth when he used that territory thing
The fact that you don't even know his name goes to show how much you actually were paying attention. As the story goes on his motives and ideals are challenged.

>if they speak normally their power would kill most people
It's not hard.

And gege made yuji change his goals right after he met the principal. did you really skip that part?

You said Yuji wins with Nakama power. Please show where that happens.

I have personally been enjoying these past few arcs a lot. I have some issues with it but it's improved a lot, I loved the last arc and the current one looks like it's going to continue that trend.

Also Toji is the best boy of the manga and whoever says otherwise has bad taste.

you said 100 you've seen this 100 times so i want you to list 99 other characters who have the same power. why are you skipping that part of my question?

You make jujutsufags look bad. Shut the fuck up.

>Toji is the best boy
after this last chapter it is hard to choose who is the best boy

Ok, now I am pretty sure you are just butthurt because I called your series generic and bland. I can't think that anyone in good faith would take that phrase in its literal meaning, come on.

If someone is going to talk shit im going to use what they say against them. I couldnt care less if i sound unrealistic he is the one who said he has seen it 100 times before so he should be able to name at minimum 20 people with the same power. I couldnt care less if i look like an ass he should have never said anything in the first place that could be used against him.

Everybody says the school shooter arc is where shit gets good but I just couldn't get attached to it and dropped

Chapter 27 is really a highlight for most JJK readers. Did you already get to that chapter? I really enjoyed the tournament arc after. It was really short but you see a lot of shit go down

I read up until the obedience arc
Just couldnt get attached to it

Mahitofag your networth just shot up.

at least you gave it an honest chance. this current arc is really becoming a highlight of the series. if you ever get bored enough to pick it back up you should i think its best thing to come out of WSJ in a long time.

>school shooter arc
I love when someone uses this naming

Why do we have to have such a retarded newfag Jujutsubros? He’s like an insect that wont die

>not a single argument to back any of those points up
