Doppo fight is going to be amazing. If Gouki's fight was meant to represent the classic conflict of the small guy vs the big guy, the fight of Doppo is going to between a veteran vs another veteran.
Imagine, Doppo uses a technique and then the Sumo counters it and viceversa, going through the entire book of tricks of Karate and Sumo.

I doubt they will alter it honestly. I don't think the arc is that bad honestly people seem to hate it though. I just hate the fact that itagaki did a 180 making doppo and shibukawa job and then has them come back later as if they weren't really going all out

Hanayama is small in comparison to the god Nomi No Sukune.
But seriously, it probably was a mistake of Itagaki.

This. Ali was just an athlete that didn't understood the world Baki and friends lived in. You don't get to pick when and where to fight.
Hell, Gouki tried to stab Baki's throat before his fight against Musashi and Baki eluded the attack with his new technique.

I also kind of find it weird that doppo knew how to specifically counter boxing with the whole using his skull to break ali's fist thing, but he didn't do that the first match. I know originally itagaki didn't mean for there to be rematches but still

I demand an arc where they use Mitsunari Tokugawa's sci-fi lab to revive Bruce Lee and have Lee round robin the entire cast of regulars. Demand!

kind of cool detail but when jack fights ali he does the same tackle that dave does when ali spars with him. and ali tries to counter it the same way with a uppercut followed by a right cross
