We've never seen Lunarians fighting off of their ships so we don't know if it would make them deadlier or easier to kill. Both Cinnabar and sensei have huge area of effect attacks that could destroy tons of Lunarians at a time. The problem is that Phos is also there and sensei can't attack Phos. So Phos could act as a shield for them in some way against him. And even if you consider all of the Lunarians as one fighter and then Phos as another, I doubt Cinnabar could fight against both at the same time.

Assuming these are real I don't get why he would go, it's not like he'll be able to make sensei pray and I think Phos won't really need his help to dust the remaining gems.

Do we know much about the scientist that made sensei? I think it was supposed to be a girl but maybe Aechmea worked with her or something and so might be someone that sensei would recognize. Though I don't know why he wouldn't have gone down to Earth earlier if that was the case.

Aechmea seems to know quite a lot about Sensei and it would be hard to explain how they could make the professor facsimile thing without somebody being familiar with her. Either Aechmea or Barbata could be candidates.

Yeah I also thought that there could be a connection between Aechmea and the professor but, as you said, I can't see why he couldn't have used it at his advantage before.

Bort needs to get smashed by dia and then that issue needs to be worked out of her system. Sensei needs to btfo phos and give phos a proper scolding and become sensei again.

Reminder that Phos is far from invulnerable, her interior isn't coated by the same anti-mercury treatment, her alloy might have weird reactions to Cinnabar's mercury, and if she loses her eyeball or whatever she might be blinded or worse lose the ability to activate Sensei

There's also of course the possibility of - I have a sneaking doubt Phos will think she has finally destroyed all the gems and trying to get Sensei to pray agaib before splashing mercury on them - Phos is immune but Sensei's hands will be caught or something, rendering them brittle and unusable, unable to pray.

Maybe that's why Aechmea comes down to save his precious machine, but this is all spitballing. Fuck Shitsha, hope she gets crushed by Phos or by the insecurities and guilt from this scenario

I'd be surprised if Sensei was affected by the mercury desu; he seems to be the only one that Shinsha wasn't worried about harming iirc. Plus, if he is hexagonal diamond like som anons speculated, and/or he operates not as an inclusion-based lifeform but as an interior automata, I doubt that mercury has the same effect. He's a machine, he doesn't need sunlight, so mercury obstructing the inclusions is not a concern of his.

I remember an user in a thread last month speculating that the next 2 chapters would be 24 pages since each volume has a certain number of pages. Well last chapter was still only 20 pages, so it would be cool if that meant an extra 8 pages for this one.

No way, Phos only started her journey of maturity and contemplation that led to her suspicion of Sensei and later curiosity towards the the Lunarians because of Antarc's death that spurred her to change further and wonder why and how things worked

I'd say she really began to question things after receiving Lapis's head. Antarc's death was still a key point, but the replacement of Phos's head was always more important to me. Besides that, Phos was tight with a lot of people beyond Antarc.

It feels like all gems are sociopaths. It just took a certain push, and alteration in environments for them to act up

The only gems that actually act like humans are the ones that behave like absolute psychos like Dia, Rutile and Phos.

Platinum being in her alloy/amalgam would turn into a natural anti mercury barrier if coated, since only the gold would leech out.
