Mirio is a retard. He had two opportunities to stop Overhaul. First he let's Overhaul escape with Eri, because he thought Overhaul was her father and he was scared to fight him, even though he's the strongest hero after All Might. Then he jumps between Eri and the quirk-destroying bullet, even though if he would have just let her get hit, she would have lost the quirk and Overhauls plan would be ruined. No wonder Deku got one for all, he can at least think rationally.

While first point I don't mind. Second point it flawed because he wouldn't have known that the bullet wasn't a real bullet. Previously in the fight they had been using real bullets, that character himself had been using real bullets. So Mirio probably assumed it was a real bullet.

Deku did what Mirio wanted him to do. Mirio is also much stronger and could just have taken down Overhaul. Doesn't matter if Overhaul hasn't commited any official crimes yet, a child that looks like that is 100% being abused.

Deku at that point didn't attend U.A. and never worked/trained under a pro hero. Of course his judgement would have flaws, but Mirio was supposed to be the next All Might and trained under his former sidekick for atleast a year, while attending U.A. for almost 3 years.

The truly interesting rivalry is between Bakugo and Todoroki. Imagine if these two were the ones constantly competing both against each other, it would be an actual rivalry instead of the retarded relationship between Bakugo and Deku where the power differential is so astronomically different no competition between them can ever be taken seriously.

My Hero Academia originally was outlined to end with Volume 30, but then it became clear that it would be virtually impossible to do this. In 2018, manga-ka Kohei Horikoshi claimed the current arc he was working on could be the last arc. Multiple arcs then followed that arc, and Horikoshi has since said he's toying with the idea of extending its run to Volume 50, which would set it on course to end in 2024.

Mirio let overhaul go because Nighteye's plan was to take the entire Yakuza out in one fell swoop, rather than fighting their leader in the midst of a crowded city street. Can you even begin to imagine how many civilian casualties would have taken place if they had attacked Overhaul in that alley? Regular people can't phase through his spikes, and Mirio had the safety of Deku to worry about too. When Mirio put Deku's hood up it was both to hide Midoriya's complete lack of poker face, which would immediately tip Overhaul off that the heroes knew who he was and that Eri was not safe with him. Deku nearly compromised the mission which, by the way, worked: the Yakuza is wiped off the face of Japan after the hideout raid, just like Nighteye planned, and to top it off there wouldn't have been any casualties at all if Mirio had OFA.
