Their characters were always supposed to be simple, with single flaws to be addressed, Zenitsu -> Coward -> Heroic, Inosuke -> Unintentionally unsympathetic -> sympathetic. Their characters are just that, it was never meant to be anything else in order to warrant more focus.

You mean you wanted their character arcs to be more on your face so you can understand it. Wani did develop their characters properly by giving small cues throughout the arcs.

You are probably right. I guess I just like them both. Wani's next project will be much longer I feel.

I don't think Zenitsu is a coward, fearful and lack confident but not cowardly. A coward would run a leave people to the demons to eat but he never did. He need someone who trust him to give him the push needed. Inosuke need to learn to embrace his human side.

When Koku died he sounded upset that he didn’t have any legacy left, so he probably wanted to leave something behind. With Douma, it’s genuinely hard to know what he wanted before he died, but his dying speech made it seem like he wanted to feel emotions. Well, who knows.
