I've tried but it always looked like ass. Agni is just fucking hard to draw, and what is distinctive in Fujimoto's style often becomes visually boring in other people's. Think about it, most of the characters are a plain human face, boring hair, and massive winter coats. It's not got shonen character design elements, except for those short-lived fancy characters that die very quickly

How the hell do you find it average? Regardless of whether you like it or not, Fire Punch's portrayal of the human psyche is phenomenal. The average manga does not compare at all.
