Why does nobody talk about Initial D anymore?
Why does nobody talk about Initial D anymore?
DO YOU LIKE
because it ended
Because Yas Forums aren’t carfags and the Initial D itself was driven into the ground by retards and their epic dorifto memes. On the other side of things the racing scene isn’t as popular as it used to be even looking at the lack of street racing games on the market nowadays.
MIKE'S HARD
can't hear anyone talk over the eurobeat
>muh aura
also ryosuke is literally that dude with the laptop from beyblade, he can basically look at a dent in your car and tell you how many leaves will land on it in the race 5 days from now
except with sidewinder where i can only assume his ESP had become too strong and he had to leave the mortal realm behind
Kyoichi was a pretty good character too
For me it's fourth stage episode 6
>inb4 o my squirrel
I heard people talking about it IRL and that's when I knew it was never worth discussing again.
there is a depressing lack of eurobeat in this thread
there's too much eurobeat in this thread
What's there to talk about exactly?
all thread every thread
Scene is slowly getting a little bigger now I reckon with the increasing second hand car market and less media panick on 'hooning'.
? Anything that doesn't revolve around a meme has already been said. Were you born yesterday?
because it sucks aside from the music
DEJA VU
Because stay home duh watcha need cars for?
how does santa bring coronavirus to millions of people in one night? ae86.
Because it's official Yas Forumscore now, which means one cannot like it.
>memetaries
i don't get what you mean
Is that why people never talk about SAC either?
>Anime and manga is over 2 decades old
I don't now, you tell me you meme fagging newfag
Because of Christchurch
Because it ended?
Because it isn't moeblob waifu anime of the season
>On the other side of things the racing scene isn’t as popular as it used to be
This is probably the biggest reason, there are no affordable second hand sports cars anymore. Only few new ones in recent years, and overpriced vintage ones.
Cars aren't as popular in younger crowds as well, as they are much more expensive to buy and insure nowadays, especially sports one.
The final nail is gasoline prices due to taxation, it's non affordable to drive just for fun a lot, and there is also no reason to since there is much more available entertainment like all movies/anime on demand, video games etc. which weren't as big as they are now back in the times when racing was popular.
because it went really downhill after the movie
when it aired the cars were cheap, now they're expensive
moeblob carfu of the season
tougé
If this was the case. Alot more ppl would go on killing sprees
I only knew Initial D existed because of a pokemon AMV over a decade ago that had Night of Fire for audio. The racing scenes look decent though.
MEIN KAMPF
>GAS GAS GAS
is a Yas Forums rally cry now
Honestly it's not anything special, the story is pretty fucking basic and full of typical shonen asspull stuff. It just has some real cars and licensed music.
Eurobeat was already huge in Japan in the mid/late 90s which is why it ended up in the show.
There's very little need to watch anything aside from the actual races. The Battle Stage OVAs condense them without all of the garbage story.
I would disagree, the story in Inital D is solid, especially earlier stages. The romances are made well with very human like interactions and fuck ups, also the characters are nice. Yeah the racing aspect is very shonen-like, but characters and their side stories are decent as well.
no one on Yas Forums drives
races without build-up are fucking pointless
i keept getting confused on who was who in the later seasons
why was he so strong again?
Because it became a normalfag meme a few years ago.
Fuck meme culture.
The recent arcade games shat the bed, too.
Why isn't some anime like wacky racers already created? I can imagine it being fun to see some anime characters riding their personalized cars with wacky stuff happening. Imagine the design of the cars if it was a crossover of famous (or not) characters from different franchises like a gash bell car with gas riding a fish that shoot thunders. Now i noticed i'm dreaming too high, not just about crossover shit but imagining that they would make a cool cast of characters, if was a shueisha thing they just would slap some boring shit like goku one piece guy and naruto
i drive..........

.............................its only part time..................................
I started watching it every once in a while in December, halfway through Fourth Stage now
blasted through First, Second, and Third Stages but got a bit burnt out early on in Fourth and have been taking my time since
First Stage still my favorite of what I've watched so far
a real human bean
There's nothing to talk about, MF Ghost is the sequel and is still going though.
/o/ still talks about it occasionally.
in second stage he looks more like takumi than second stage takumi
>mc love interest literally pleased old men for money
I do tho and even own a car user!
an inspiration to tohsakas everywhere
> (You)
>If this was the case. Alot more ppl would go on killing sprees
I hope so
I found this fucking anime on my country's autosport forum in 2004, I thought it wasn't popular until I started seeing the memes that started to come around.
I blame /gif/ for it.
Because it went downhill fast.
people got really tired of the memes wearing down any traction to the series
Goddammit you guys
>2020
>I am forgotten
More than just ending, it ended in a wet fart. Faggots often complain about Stage 4 and onwards, because that's when it ditched SOL elements to focus only in the race.
Also it's weird how much I liked considering I'm not a carfag and I'm a awful driver
Initial D(eez nuts)
is MF Ghost worth reading bros?
