Generally, it seems that the best idea would be to save it for a power boost. Like, you're on the last fight and you immediately burn two Command Seals to go "Kill the enemy Servant."

The problem with Gilgamesh isn't getting him to use his power at any point. It's that he's wilful, not particularly interested in winning, and doesn't want to take any shit from a human. He's actually a really poor choice, because he doesn't give a shit.

Your best bet is to just wait things out and force him to win the final battle.

You don't have 100% guarantee that spell will work on him if he really want to kill you. Just 1 second and you're dead. No idea why anons want to play such dangerous game with Gil.
