There's almost certainly more than those, but the focus will be on the 4, probably Tristan, Lancelot, Gawain and then either Arthur or maybe Gareth.

I doubt the main character of the sequel would be outright stated just yet, so it could go either way. It could be about Arthur and his closest knights or maybe there's a timeskip so that Arthur will be an old man and the knights serve under his command. That would make Arthur kind of like Sinbad in Magi in that he's kind of already finished his own adventure but still has a strong presence.

Seems like it'll end with a cliffhanger of Estarossa turning into Mael.

Makes sense. I've been predicting something like this for a while now. It was odd to me how the pacing was slower than in the previous seasons even though it meant that they wouldn't be able to adapt the entire holy war. Ending with a cliffhanger and using the final season to market the sequel seems like a pretty solid plan. I expected the cliffhanger to be after the Mael fight though, but it looks like it's going to be just before that. Hopefully this means the studio can prepare properly for the final season so it won't be a disaster like this one, although this whole Corona thing could easily result in disruptions and delays.

The most recent chapter was obviously setting him up to be a villain. I'm guessing he's going to have turned into a human supremacist who wants to eradicate the lesser races, so basically Hitler. Maybe his invisible fairy friend will eventually get him to turn good again.

Pic related was a Q&A back in chapter 200. Another was asked whether Nanashi was Japanese and Nakaba answered that he's from an Eastern country. Seems like Nakaba already had some long term plans for him almost 4 years ago.

Interesting. If the quest for the Grail or Arthur's conquest of Rome is a thing we could see some other places.

It depends on how much Nakaba wants to put on his plate. There's the age of Chaos, racist humans like Deathpierce against the other clans, the Supreme Deity, material from the Arthur stories like the Holy Grail, etc. The phrasing of his answer kind of suggests that other locations would be explored through the characters that originate from those locations. I guess something like a Roman invasion of Britannia could happen though.
