Is it some sort of inside joke for anime characters to hold guns wrong?

Attached: Is this how you should hold a gun.png (1280x720, 955.63K)

It's hard to hold it right with little loli hands.

In competition the army marksman hold it like that (except they keep the left hand off the magazine). But that stock position and the lean is correct.

It isn't well suited for combat as it blocks your FOV and isn't stable enough for sustained fire.

Why does that work? I only ever shot from the usual knees bent, lean forward, stock firmly against the shoulder position so it seems super counterintuitive to me that you could absorb the recoil enough in that position, but I guess you can if people are doing it in competitions.

Left hand on the magazine is fine though, I like that a lot better than on the hand guard. I feel like I can control the recoil even better that way. Not like in OP's pic though, like this (pic).

Watch Raifuru Izu Byūtifuru. It's more about endurance since the competitions can last ~60 minutes

Oh, that actually makes sense.

look at that mag too, thats clearly teeny tiny ammo and the weight of the gun alone will be enough to avoid smashing eyeballs.

Most japs have never fired an actual firearm, let alone handled one. Airsoft is as close as many get and it is not tremendously similar.

This position is really only useful in the confines of long range offhand shooting. Having done some competitive marksmanship, I can tell you that a lot of the postures are to emphasize body rigidity and stabilizing the rifle. They are horrendously uncomfortable and wearing the shooting jacket in any season is stiflingly hot. I am pretty sure my left shoulder is permanently fucked up because of a specific prone posture used for long range precision shooting.

You are using the jacket and sling to make your upper body as rigid as possible so that the rifle moves as little as possible. Leaning back shifts your center of balance as well. Trust me, it is much more uncomfortable than it looks.

theres still the olympics

I prefer shootting like pic related

THUMB OVER BORE

I too, enjoy second degree burns.

competitive shooters use teeny tiny .22 shit, no recoil.

In some Olympics events maybe. A lot of it depends on the specific competition and the rules. I used a .30-06 M1 Garand when I shot in NRA High Power competitions, but in a three gun match I used a 9mm Sig pistol, a 5.56x45mm AR, and a 12 gauge pump action shotgun. It can vary wildly.

thats a different style of competition entirely though

The joke is that this is literally her masturbation dream.

That's the thing, there are a lot of different styles of competition. Some emphasize distance and accuracy/precision, others emphasize speed and accuracy/precision, and others still just try to fuck with the shooter to see how well they can adapt.

Jeezus those proportions on the gun are out of wack.

Honestly, I'm more bothered about the front sight being completely useless and the loli using x-ray sight to see through the gun and aim through it.

user...

you shouldn't be gripping the magazine directly. grip the magazine well.

Why is the selector switch where the ejection port should be?

>no charging handle
WTF?

On AK pattern rifles the safety doubles as the dust cover, the gun is on safe in that picture.

>gripping the one part not covered by a barrel shroud...
YIKES!

Apart from what's already been said, you're using your bone structure to support the rifle, which is also why you'd use an open palm or fist in this position and not hold the magwell, and why the OP picture is not an example of that shooting position - it's just a chicklean, really.
Do watch Rifle is Beautiful btw. My favorite from that season, as someone who shoots and is into olympic rifle shooting. there's a good chance you're going to enjoy it.

There is also usually a charging handle that is for some reason missing.

>colt industries

Don't put too much thought into it. The proportions are all kinds of fucked up.

If you pinned them both in place and pushed, which would break first, the toe of the stock or the person's shoulder?

what is /k/'s boku no pico?

Deagle Brand Deagle

i thought of that as just a name joke, sort of like animay
i guess it makes sense if someone wants to get a gun

Isn't that carrying handle too far forward for balanced carrying?

they should stick to mortar units then

Finally a higher quality version.

I felt like that ended up being okay cause that gun broke on him the first time he used it.

It's probably a noguns translator messing things up.

there's a revolver barrel AND a magazine, that's the biggest problem.

You can have a cylinder fed from a magazine. Revolver cannons are a common implementation.
The main issues I see is the hammer and the charging lever but those can be explained as artifacts from the original weapons the gun was frankensteined from.

but where do casing ejects from then ???

In the cycle before he new cartridge is inserted.
Or they use combustible cases or caseless.

seems like a bad weapon design that would become faulty in 2 shots.

Obviously it's a bad idea since nobody mass produced them but it's not impossible.

it reminds me the home-made weapon of that German mass shooter that wanted to kill jews but ended up killing 2 Germans instead and destroying his weapon in the process.

>bad weapon design

Ya don't say

Besides the fucked up proportions and failure to shoulder the damn thing, it's not that bad at all.
Only burgers get triggered by mag-grab.

we invented war!

I don't see a shoulder thing that goes up on that gun though

Read the VN.

thats exactly how women hold guns
shitty shouldering, and clearly afraid of it by leaning too far backwards
