I love the scene in Koimonogatari where Hanekawa describes Sengoku's problem more precisely than any other character because she's also used to hiding her feelings. I wish they had some dialogue together.

I always think about all of this, she would have been the perfect guide for her, in terms of everything. Plus she was the only one (aside from Araragi, I guess) who expressed the desire to save Nadeko, she's really an empathic person who's good at reading others.

Yeah, I think one of Monogatari's weakness is that it develops characters very well individually but rarely through interactions with the rest of the cast. For example, I'm not sure Shinobu and Senjougahara have even a single proper conversation even though they're two of the closest people to Araragi.

Wtf, stop reading every thought of mine. But yeah, we have lots of Araragi-girl interactions, but not so many girl-girl interactions. Tsubasa-Hitagi is probably the biggest exception.

I didn't either, but I think they're quite similar in that they keep parts of themselves hidden, so I'm not very surprised. It might be that quality of mystery that draws me to them. Good taste.

I watched the series and actually took half a second to think about what Hanekawa was actually doing. Miss "teehee, I could have gotten your sister raped or killed I'll let you touch my boobies as an apology but actually I won't" isn't a good or kind person. Miss "let's waltz right into the front door of a vampire nest with no plan and- oh wait they're going to kill me" isn't a clever person. She may be empathetic, but she doesn't fucking act on it and relies on the people around her being empathetic, and pure asspulls to pull her out of her constant self-sabotage.

Not that user but I'm going to have to correct you on this one. She entirely intends to let him cop of a feel of her titties if he actually went through with it but she only offered knowing that he wouldn't do it.
The worst part is that she pulls this trick twice, once with the ticket he rips up "because it's useless" and once in Owari when she wants to make sure he doesn't visit Sodachi with Ougi.
That is also ignoring the Kizu one but that one however is her actually offering with intent for him to take it and as such not an example of her manipulating someone.
