It is considered to be one of the least good arcs and the events barely affect the overall story. The only good parts that I can remember are the dodge ball game and the final battle against Genthru and his goons and both of those take place in the third act. Just power through it. It's not that long.

this. It also doesn’t help that its stuck between two godly arcs

Definitely it’s weakest arc. Still enjoyable. Good character growth

It's comfy

I liked it

I wouldn't call it boring, but it's a transition arc. It's mostly there for set up, getting K&G caught up with nen, and fleshing out the zanny shit the power system can do. If you don't appreciate detours, just do your best to get past it.

It's a creative training arc.

comfy is just a code word for boring

Is boring but you have to endure it for the next arc, the best arc in all of shonen

Broing is code for "I have ADHD"

I loved it almost throughout, Biscy is one of the best sensei characters, the nen is explored in interesting ways, the adventure is on point with Greed Island providing lots of material for both gags and good action scenes.

It's overall pretty great especially if you aren't a plotfag. The only downside is that the pay off is disappointing.

I only read the manga, but it feels like disliking Greed Island is anime only thing. I heard there are some guys who seriously stopped watching episodes to autistically read description of every card, when only accompany really mattered. The entire point was collecting, their utility was meant to be more of an obstacle to that.

It is relatively low on tension compared to Yorkshin and Chimera and there is some infodumping early on, but the dodgeball game is probably the best fight in the manga, and Genthru vs Gon is pretty fine too. I like the arc better in the manga because there is more card lore too.

It’s average and bland as fuck but if you manege to finish it and start with the chimera ants arc, then no, you weren’t filtered.

Lol

Worst and most uninteresting villain in the series.

>card autism
>good

Its kinda shit but the last couple of episodes (dodge ball and final fight) are fucking great and worth the shit part.

It's peak HxH.

both anime adaptations of this arc are shit

It's the weakest arc, togashi can't write gaming, but stills enjoyable.

better get filtered than suffer the wait for a next chapter

It's shit

Which arc do you like user?

>no kurapika
>peak hxh

All the arcs are boring as fuck, the only decent one is Chimera Arc, and even then it's just barely that - decent.

You are harsh but brave. Cruel but full of guts!

If you didnt like the last two tournaments you wont like this one

Nah... Half the manga is about explaining it a videogame manner how their superpowers work and retards think it is genius. If you want a good storytelling pleb filter read one piece instead.

Yeah yeah whatever, but for me, it's the Chimera Ants arc (manga version that is.)

I liked it when it started, the fight with the psycho guy and the finale. Some of the episodes in the middle part were the most boring in the entire series for me.

Animaechan thought Greed Island was merely good, but still much better than the Hunter Exam and Heaven's Arena which she characterizes as a bit childish and drawn out because we're following the perspectives of two boys whose goals aren't as compelling as someone like Kurapika who is dark and mature and wants revenge for the massacre of his clan.

>but the dodgeball game is probably the best fight in the manga
this makes me cringe every time. kurapika vs uvo, meruem vs netero, gon vs hisoka, and gon vs pitou, and gon vs genthru all absolutely fucking destroy the dodgeball "fight".

even if you're a mega contrarian pleb dumb fuck who thinks dodgeball beats everything else, you can't say with a straight face it beats netero vs meruem.

it's the only time in the series gon has a good fight

i' m starting to think we won't be getting a new chapter bros

You should add chrollo vs hisoka to that list, I know it only happens in the manga but imo is the best fight in hxh

>gon vs pitou
that wasn't really a fight, just a kick and a punch

its the beginning of the story's decline

based Hunterchads take no slight

Hisoka thread is wrong because the link you used takes in multiple factors that assumes CPR is applied consistently. There are things that are in the literal thread that do not apply to Hisoka.

businessinsider.com.au/when-to-stop-trying-to-revive-someone-2013-11

>Hypothermia is a medical emergency that occurs when your body loses heat faster than it can produce heat, causing a dangerously low body temperature.
>Hisoka did not die from hypothermia, he died by suffocation

So yeah, just by this alone whoever made this was wrong from the beginning. But let's go on for a bit more.

>The first, and most important thing to consider is the point of trying to revive the heart in the first place- that’s to supply the body, and most importantly brain cells, with adequate blood flow. The first question any rescuer needs to consider is, “What’s the likelihood that the victim’s brain cells are still functioning?” If there’s a good chance that if you get their heart back going, the person isn’t going to be a vegetable, you continue trying. If not, you typically don’t. For this, a general rule of thumb is that brain cells begin to die after approximately 4-6 minutes of no blood-flow. After around 10 minutes, those cells will cease functioning, and be effectively dead.

Hisoka would need consistent CPR in order for his brain cells not to be dead within the time frame.

>That said, there are some exceptions to that rule. In situations of slow metabolism, like when the person is hypothermic, those time-frames are extended. If good CPR is being performed, the brain cells are also getting some blood supply, although decreased, so the time frame is again extended to the point the rescuer feels is appropriate.

Again, Hisoka's body did not freeze or get cold, he suffocated under a massive amount of people. That would be more hot than cold and more than likely speed up brain death.

yea that kick and punch was infinitely more entertaining than dodge ball

shit taste, gon san was easily the worst part of the CA arc

It's the worst training arc ever so don't let people trick you, many shitposters will tell you I'm wrong but in reality once you finish Yorkshin you just have to jump straight to Chairman Election, Greed Island and Chimera Ant are just bad filler, things you will miss from these arcs:
Killua and Gon got stronger.
Gon lose his powers for being a massive faggot.
Some old piece of shit died and is the reason people are choosing a new Chairman.
That's it, I just saved you hours of your valuable time.

Being scientifically innacurate is not a plothole

The argument for post-mortem Nen CPR is against that and its basis is wrong sheerly from the fact alone that they used an article for hypothermia which is a completely different way to die than suffocation/asphyxiation.

I have to question the whole thread itself when it can't even fact check something as basic as that.

the argument is that Hisoka uses his nen to revive himself after he dies, not about the scientific feasibility of it.

It is pretty boring, but the arc expands upon the Nen system, shows training for the characters, has cool fights and moments, we get more insight into Ging as a character and introduces Biscuit, who’s a fun character and a good mentor. The card collecting takes a lot of time, and is kind of dumb, but I do like how Greed Island functions as a sort of game within the real world. It’s a neat concept and it works better than most anime that try to incorporate game mechanics into their world. The main villains of this arc are just bad guys who do bad things cause they’re bad, but I do enjoy how the heroes use strategy and tactics to defeat them.

It's not bad it just doesn't hold up to the other arc's.
Yorknew will always be the best.

Attached: 1574686772121.jpg (1280x720, 78.96K)

The only piece of shit is you, you lying insolent scumbag.

>tripfag
Your kind isn’t welcome here

Yorknew is just dumb fun along with other shounen geared for kids like One Piece and YYH. CA arc actually has interesting story lines even if you feel bored during most of it.

Killua is cute!

Attached: Killua_misses_his_target.jpg (1280x720, 71.31K)

So what you trying to say is that Hunter x Hunter is boring and so are nearly all arcs?

No you're definitely a retard if you feel bored during most of CA and any complaints you levy against CA are instantly discredited when it's revealed you like some garbage shallow series like One Piece or Code Geass or anything like that.

Side note I hate it when someone has what I feel are legitimate grievances toward HxH but it turns out they enjoy trash. It makes me feel they don't have issues with HxH for the reasons they state - they just didn't notice or care about the themes, and because HxH doesn't do the casual normalfag "le epic fight with epic punch with epic music" like MHA or One Piece to fall back on, they don't enjoy the series. But they can't just admit that. If a fan of Berserk or LoGH complained about slow moments and story lines (particularly early in the series) that don't feel compelling I could totally get that. But not if you like trash series. What is an o my 7 quarks fag doing complaining about asspulls? It's just baffling. Completely ruins any interest I have in what you have to say.

Pitou is cuter

Attached: 1494126955589.png (628x539, 312.7K)

basically. I would even consider the final fight to be pretty weak with the only real redeeming factor being the dodge ball

Is this bait? This has gotta be bait.

If you don't like card games or training arcs it's really boring. Really weak villain too. I respect Togashi for just making whatever the fuck he wants though.

>I would even consider the final fight to be pretty weak
Completely disagree, it was one of my favorite in the entire manga

Attached: genthru.jpg (398x667, 88.12K)

Why do tripfags always have the worst taste?

killua fucking BORES me i hate him generic kurapika is better

But for me, it's either Chimera Ants arc or the Succession royal war arc.

t. amori brothers

Its mediocre, but not as awful as everything that Came after chimera ant arc.
