Luv it

Really enjoyed it. Plan to re-watch this anime one day.

Great series. The moon scene in episode 24 is one of my all time favorite scenes in anime.

I've got the double omnibus, but I've only read the first of them. I really like what I've read of it but it has definitely left less of an impression than the anime did.

The anime is great. The manga is too short, making the story awkwardly paced.

Dropped it at episode 3. The overly preachy idealistic mc bitch really got on my nerves. You have space, one of the most dangerous environments you could possibly find your find yourself working in, where tension is at an all-time high and small mistakes could mean the difference between life and death, and then you have this idealistic retard going out of her way to put you in danger, jeopardize the mission and actively sabotage you and the crew's safety because she has a feeling about something and "I- It's not the right thing to do." I couldn't buy it.

I'm stuck at episode 14 because I got bored, besides romance between autists is definitely not my cup of tea.

Just finished it last week, it was ok. Not as good as I was hoping and I didn't really get attached to any of the characters there were all kinda meh, but I just like shit happening in space so that kept me watching

Hated that eva type shit they tried to pull near the end with the MCs and all the other characters suddenly being selfish pricks.

Ai copy.

Solid manga, although it has its lengths. Good character writing.
Rather lacklustre anime adaptation though.

great heady execution. terrible cucked authorial intent

the MC is a raging faggot

Anime is a masterpiece superior to the manga in every aspect.
Expect maybe for 2 episodes but they are still needed.

Anime has top tier OST

So basically you've dropped at one of the only 2 somewhat-annoying episodes and didn't get to watch all the episodes that justify her point of view.
I'm tempted to spoil you.

She is the kind of people who would die trying to save your ass even if she could kill you and live without anyone noticing

Moot is a gay homo.

>episode 14
If the ROMANCE is what bother you, know that it goes out the airlock by episode 16.

Should I read the manga or watch the anime?

I'm and recommend the anime.
It's one of the rare anime adaptation which is superior in every way. They didn't hesitate to rewrite entire character to make a coherent story and instead of just "adding stuff up after the manga arc" they made sure every characters (the cast doubled) and every details, is made relevant again and serve the plot.

I watched the anime, and liking it isn't the first thing that comes to mind when I think about it. But rather the different ways it made me feel as I watched it. It's pretty bold, honestly, both how it displays the darkness in people and their warmth. It makes me have a lot of appreciation in a story when I can count on my hand the number of times I agreed and disagreed with what it was trying to say. Ultimately though, I definitely like it a bunch, even if the ending really push your buttons.

I've been interested in reading the manga since it's one of these anime where the manga vs anime debate is very indecisive and I want to see where I'd stand on that. I'm pretty sure the manga will nail the feeling alone parts perfectly, but I think I'll prefer the anime over it still. The few changes I've heard about really makes it feel like the anime improved on it, kind of like with Ping Pong and NHK. But I'll read it still.

Who?

>since it's one of these anime where the manga vs anime debate is very indecisive
It's not,
The anime is superior in every aspect, with the manga only salvaging a few point with some arts and some dialog that didn't made it into anime.
The manga is also rather pointless, aimless. From the beginning to the end it's disconnect slice-of-life scene.

Pic is one of the good dialog

Hachi's "I WANNA GO FAST" schtick really wore thin on me.
I liked space brothers better.

Anime was better. In the manga, too much time is devoted to thinking about a person’s place in space and this is in every second work about space , and too little sf.

That guy is the equivalent of the anime's moon ninja, extremely annoying. At least the ninja die during the lunar accident and serve as a reminder of how dangerous spacework is

amazing animation and designs, downright shit tier lead characters especially MC
I think I even fastforwarded second last couple of episodes

I see a lot of people saying the manga is better so I disagree with you there. Regardless of how strongly you feel about it my years of browsing anime forums show a different side of the story. Even if then again, I also believe that the anime will remain the stronger story, especially from what I read from the people who prefer the manga and what they actually consider flaws in the anime adaptation.

The manga does have the advantage of being very well drawn (Vinland Saga mangaka by the way) even if a lot is lost in realism.
But beyond that it doesn't have much which isn't covered in the anime, some of the time better to a whole new level.

Even small stuff like the eva crew evaluation where a somewhat glorified normal move is made into an actually amazing maneuver , hell even the arm-thruster placement is more rational.
Same for the space mine arc which is replaced by an infowar electronic space mine in the anime and fit more how everyone KNOW a Kessler Syndrome is the last thing anyone want.

Plot wise there a LOT more tension in Hakim betrayal because you know who he was before. That's another reason to watch the anime first btw, avoiding the spoil with a lesser version.

If there's ONE think I don't forgive the anime it's to not have a much better kino animation of the moon explosion

Loved the manga

great worldbuilding, plot was meh

i didn't really latch onto the in-your-face themes too much. what struck me was the world. the corporate culture, the idealistic new girl and jaded trainer. the incompetent but nice middle management. i loved all the details of space stations would work in orbit, handles on walls, hazard pay for space walks, giant dorm terrariums, laggy phone calls. the post WW3 world running under a new sort of UN that isn't quite as well established as being seen as good yet. I'm also a sucker for Ai and girls like her

Now that I'm speed re-reading the manga I'm really glad the anime changed the order of pretty much every important events and reworked them.
Even found a way to bring back the damn cat.

The manga is pretty but it's as if it treat everything as only a setup for a joke. Except maybe for all the separate lengthy character explanation where you get to see the few characters lives exposed in lengthy and excruciating details.

And thanks dog we didn't get the human alien.

Easy. Ctrl + C, Ctrl + P.

Unironically degenerate art. Between the retard-level hamfisted moral lessons, side characters straight from the Looney Tunes and attempting to make a literal fucking Al-Qaeda into good guys it can't be called anything but degeneracy.
It's one of those series that make you think that not all people are the same biological species because there is just no way anyone with a human brain can stomach this cancer.

Naanhtee
Fuck your runes lmao

ПЛАИНЕТЕЗ

If the series is really like that i might as well take it off my backlog. I thought it was a more mature series instead of being generic shounenshit

shows the future that awaits us with trashed to death spacex starlink sattelites

It's definitely more mature but you'll still have to survive one overemotive girl episode and a space ninja one, but frankly it's nothing compared to most anime, even among seinen.

Wtf are you talking about? The manga is better.

Do you think he really was an alien?

This but the opposite.

Read the manga.

Comparing with the other work from the author, nah, just another fucked up character he added to spice things up

I love the Tandem mirror fusion thruster

Don't take my word for it. Most of the people here agree that is a good series, and they actually finished it. You might have a different tolerance level to corny shit like that. Just be mindful that the mc girl might get on your nerves, as she got on mine. I don't really feel the desire to resume it yet since the memory of her still lingers in my mind. It's pretty much in limbo for me right now.
