Known in Japan and Korea as one of the masterpieces
Western anime fans are not attracted to this anime movie

It was really popular at the time.
I remember watching it and liking it, who cares what others think.
>Known in Japan and Korea as one of the masterpieces
Additional evidence that SEA monkeys have no taste and lack a concept of what's good.
Western anime niggas just wanna watch naruto and dragon ball. Who gives a fuck about normies like and don't like
Western anime fans also voted KnY as the anime of the decade so...yeah, don't expect standarts on your average burger otaku.
Wrong. Pretty sure they even aired it on state tv one time in my country
>Known in Japan and Korea as one of the masterpieces
This movie is pure cringe shit
>Western anime fans also voted KnY as the anime of the decade
i'm still not over this like wtf is wrong with these people????
Westerners are sea monkies now?
I always thought the tanned kid in the back was the protagonist because of all the doujins.
Ending was shit. Didn't understand why the whole world knew how to play some obscure Japanese card game.
Also if the virus is so smart, it would have rigged the game.
great movie, Hosoda-s second best after TGWLTT
Why watch this when you can watch Our War Game which is both better and only a half hour.
It was shit and Hosoda's worst movie.
It was. Though I must admit - I don't get it.
>Japan and Korea are part of SEA
Is this what westerners think?
>who cares what others think.
On Yas Forums? Unfortunately most people.
All I know about it is this AMV, but it's good:

It's what I've just made them. Their are (half-)island savages like Thais and Flips.
It's one of my favorite movies. I will admit the Koi-Koi plot doesn't entirely work, and the sci-fi stuff is interesting but not particularly new, but what it really gets right are the characters. It's not going to have the same impact for lots of viewers, but for someone from a huge family with a bunch of weird drama, I deeply connected to the entire dynamic. I too have an uncle who's more or less disowned and no one talks about. I too have distant cousins who are off being wildly successful. I too have a grandma on her last legs who's kind of holding the whole thing together. There are characters you love, characters you hate, characters where your opinion of them changes over the course of the story. For every one, I could draw a direct parallel to someone I know in real life. I've never seen another film get it so perfect.
Oops, your self-loathing slipped up there, ESL SEA-kun.
The "E", regardless of what you might've heard, does not stand for "eaisland".
It is????????????
>Summer WarZZZZZZzzz
Digimon ripoff
They didn't need to know how to play retard, all they did was giving their accounts to the girl to bet.
Weird, i really liked it, japanese countryside seems comfy as fuck, and it was a movie about family above anything else.
Worst anime movie I've fucking seen
>inb4 watch more anime
I liked the brown shota tho
Based
What? Who are you kidding? It's a well regarded movie here. It even aired on fucking Toonami in the USA.
I loved it
large families aren't relatable to westerners since they despise multiple generations living together because they all want to move out and pay rent and can't stand their immediate family, much less an extended one, living with them. not surprising that it's not that relatable.
This sounds more like your personal experience being used to generalize the west.
Americans =\= westerners
Soulless hive-dwelling coastal scum =\= Americans
I thought all Americans were thrown out of their parents house the moment they turn 18.
I found it boring, it's literally just the digimon movie with worse characters that I did not care about.
It's a rehash of the digimon movie.
sure, but you can't say that it's not something that is far more common in individualistic cultures.
>but but not everyone lives in cities
lol
I'll admit I lost my shit at the end when the kid goes full fucking Mentat for the final code
Bullshit I'm not. This movie is fucking awesome. Not his best work, but still it's KINO.
We don't all live together, I'm American and we're scattered all over the country. The Jinnouchis don't live together either; they're all there for a reunion. Again, it is unusual for families in general, so I'm not surprised most people don't get the same thing out of the movie.
You've never been to an Italian Family Gathering I see.......
t. vietcong jungle monkey
At least the filippinos can actually speak and write English properly.
I enjoyed the movie when it had the Digimon skin.
>KnY anime of the decade
>Boku no Heroes Rising made more money than Spirited Away
>various Western outlets refer to Makoto Shinka as "the next Miyazaki"
Normie weebs were a mistake
>it is unusual for families in general,
it's really not. a large proportion of the world's population lives in this place called asia where this is fairly common. of course there are also european countries where this is the case also like italy.
>At this very moment. Crock knew he fucked up
From what I've see Kimetsu no Yaiba is ridiculously overrated in Japan and Korea too. My friend works and Korea and visited Japan a couple weeks ago and they have KnY stuff all over the place, more so then any other anime.
What a whore.
This was popular with weeboos when it came out. I didn't care much for it personally.
Should've gone out with Kazuma instead.
Cartoons are for kids
They're not, but everyone keeps pressuring you about it after high school.
Literally my favorite movie, anime or otherwise
this.
