DB anime has pacing issues too.
The extended filler scenes with Pilaf in the first arc and how they essentially transformed the "Dragon Ball search saga" into the "Pilaf saga" makes me cringe.

Anyways, just like DB Anime is enjoyable so is the DBZ anime despite its terrible pacing(well until Freeza saga ends).

Dragon Boxes are the best we have right now, but they're highly inferior to what we could have. The level sets that got cancelled early on show just what the series could look like.

Bulma and Yamcha only got together because the editor wanted romance. And after they did, other characters would comment that Bulma was jealous and abusive.

Those were actually 3rd generation film prints so it can look way better than that.
Funi did a decent job for once with those though. Of course they canceled them because they're slimy kikes.

Unfortunately DBZ will never look this good but if they go back to the master negatives and color correct it we could come somewhere close.
Too bad DB/DBZ were mostly done in 16mm film.

Goku and Chichi got together because Tori want to punish himself(because he didn't like Chichi)/spite Torishima but he's never commented on Yamcha and Bulma.

Throughout OG DB Yamcha and Bulma had an on/off relationship. In early Z it seemed like they kinda settled for the most part.
Tori didn't give a shit though so he fucked Yamcha over just to introduce another Saiyan.

The only basis I have for my argument is that that page of Dr. Slump was released a couple days before Yamcha debuted in Dragon Ball.
