It's a shame that a manga as great as this attracts such an annoying fanbase. The fandom doesn't really do the manga justice and just gives people the wrong impression about the content of the manga.
The face is undeniably great, if you understand the context. Which rarely gets brought up unless someone asks, and even then you get meme answers most of the time.

Fire punch is a work of art that goes beyond humanity reach. We are blessed, each an every one of us, to be able to read such a masterpiece. To me, there is a beofre and an after Fire punch in manga's history. No other work of fiction beside the bible was able to touch the world like fire punch did. I think i am right when i say that Fire punch is the only way to salvation. Fujimoto is what Tzuka dreamed of becoming.

In the run of the manga Agni (the dude) gets pushed and pulled into different roles, from hero, to villain, to god, murderer etc.
At this point of the story he accidentally calls an amnesiac woman by the name of his dead sister. She goes along with it. And so does he.
He fakes a smile and goes along with it. She is now his sister. He knows it's fake. But fake happiness is better than none.
"Acting" is a central theme of Fire Punch, and this is the point where Agni embraces it and learns how to deceive himself. Or at least he tries to.
In the chapters afterward, he becomes eerily good at acting and manipulating everyone around him. Telling lies about himself and his intentions. Up to that point, Agni was a very simple man. This is his turning point.

In short, it's complex and portrays a very broken man, who has gone insane years ago, and is now taking the next step of insanity.

Because Yas Forums is filled with shallow nerds.

Doesn't help the girl he sister's is literally the big bad and the cause of the ice age fuckery of the planet.

Judah didn't cause the ice age. She herself was put into a similar situation as Agni.
As a child she was forced to become the religious leader of her city. Pretending she could hear the voice of god, so they can justify the atrocities they did in order to survive.
Even her father believes in the lie he build in the end, pleading his daughter to tell him what god is saying. A god he himself created and forced upon his daughter.
She was playing a role, and when Agni destroys the city, you can see the weight fall of her shoulders. There was no reason to act anymore. There was no more reason to lie. The flames took everything. She seeks out Agni to die, but even she does not get her wish granted.

She's at fault for many things, and the guilt she feels is so heavy that even after 10 years of amnesia, she still knows that what she did was wrong.

People focus a lot on the incest angle, but it's superficial. Luna is simply the closest person that Agni had, and vice versa. The story doesn't hinge on the fact that they were related. It just makes the loss of a loved one more tragic.
