I don't know. Would you say there's enough content there to even fill a single cour?

They can always make shit up, it's full of sol BS anyway.

Eventually gal mangas will get a chance

I guess, but hasn't this way of production gone out of practice with Jump? OP still does it, but not anything else, I think

Vertical World and Slow Motion. please

Kyoani-age

It's gonna get Toei and you know it.
>Slow Motion
The manga's already done.

No, probably this.

I need both

Only if its directed by Rakugo director

Wow you are so very brave for thinking the biggest new series of the past few years is getting an anime!

Is it not too late to say Samurai 8? I still think there's a chance they might announce an anime to save it, unless it really is about to get axed.

brave? what does this have to do with bravery

I mean, everyone and their mother knows SxF is getting an anime soon-ish. It's not very interesting to pick it.

This LN is apparently fairly popular and recently got a manga adaptation, so an anime doesn't sound unlikely at this point

I think it wouldn't be a good look for shounen jump if such a badly performing manga got an anime just due to its author. It's not even just doing mediocre, it's around the bottom in sales and rankings.

Musume no tomodachi

Only real families get anime. Fake Families need not apply.

Easy candidate.

Has a manga that's done that badly ever gotten an anime?

>inb4 KnY
Apparently KnY was already fairly popular when its anime was announced so I doubt.

does he ever have sex?

If by soon, you mean late 2021-2022, then yeah

The anime adaptation was already announced, slowpoke.

imagine the threads

I wish it doesn't get one too soon. Normies are already latching onto it.

KnY was selling 170k at its peak before the anime, so yeah it doesn't apply.

>normies
ironic

But are there any examples of poorly-selling manga that still got an anime?

It will either be a masterpiece or complete shit, depending on who adapts it.

No.

Zumo, I guess, but it fared fairly well in the ToC if I remember correctly

Chainsawman and ActAge should get one before Flop x Axed.

So no series that was S8-levels of popularity has ever gotten an anime?

You mean the axe.

Yeah. Even zumou was actually selling better than S8 now that I check again and that was the closest one I could think of within WSJ.

No, and if it was anyone other than Kishi then it would've already been axed by now for putting out those numbers.

But how come with all that promotion and Kishi's name, why is it doing that badly? Surely even with the bad reception it got it should be doing somewhat better?

That just tells you exactly how terrible the story is. I honestly don't know how he managed to learn nothing, to the point of regression.

What would the general reaction be if S8 somehow actually managed to get an anime?

People would probably call for Nakano's head for the insane nepotism I guess.

I think BC does it as well?

Are there any recent Jump series that haven't gotten animated despite lasting long enough to? It seems to me that everything that doesn't get axed gets an anime.

Just means advertising can't carry a series. If it's bad, it'll sell poorly. Simple.

Psyren comes to mind.

Psyren was axed

It lasted 16 volumes. He asked if something didn't get an anime despite lasting long enough. Psyren definitely lasted long enough.

After the explosive success of Ishuzoku Reviewer this one is pretty much guaranteed. Either the original doujin or the genderswapped version.

One Piece doesn't even do filler stories anymore, they just drag shit waaaaaaaay the fuck out to fill for time or fill in things that happened offscreen

>Fire Punch gets an adaptation
>it's a cgshit Netflix "original"
Let's just hope for the best, fire bros.

>One Piece doesn't even do filler stories anymore
It kinda does, not fully original content anymore, but it adds stuff like "what was one of the straw hats doing when they were offpanel in the manga?" Zoro's time with Yasu got several original scenes in the anime.

No

We can make it worse, it can be shitty 2D but the fire is a cheap 3D effect that doesn't fit.

You wouldn't say. There are many who want me dead.

>WIT gets their hands on it

I also asked for "recent". Psyren is not even from the last decade.

pretty sure he knows since he posted the anime character design for the main character from the key visual

Yes. Ending with the dog arc. They might wait until they can do two cours

Goddamn I fucking feel old now, holy shit.

Then nah, I don't think so. Unless you add in stuff from other jump magazines other than WSJ, then there's probably going to be something.

Need both of these to get animes in the same season, just for peak BROWN.
