Josuke decides to get the Rokakaka Josefumi and Kira grew to save Holly since he’s half Kira and now sees her as his mother. It turns out a second group of Rock Humans who work at the same hospital Holly worked at have learned of the existence of the mutated Rokakaka Josefumi accidentally createdand want it to further their research. Josuke, Yasuho and a new character named Rai (who is a friend of Norisuke) have been fighting the doctor Rock Humans and are slowly uncovering a big medical industry conspiracy while Jobin also makes his move against both Josuke and the doctors to get the new Rokakaka for himself. The plot had gotten incredibly focused and most of the characters are in the same place currently, and the next chapter is called “Endless Calamity, Part 1” so shit is going down.

I doubt he cares enough to watch it all, he’s typically always been pretty uninterested in other people handling the brand unless it directly interferes with his current work on the manga. As long as they don’t jeopardise what he’s currently working on he doesn’t seem to take too much interest in other uses of his brand.

They’re definitely linked, but they aren’t the same person. When they first started pursuing Satoru he was in the same room at the same time as Tooru and Tooru even pointed at Satoru and told them he was there. I get the feeling that Tooru is being manipulated by Satoru but doesn’t realise it, hence why he’s helping Yasuho and co while unknowingly causing them problems. The Stand that attacked them in the hospital and the Lamborghini shares design motifs with Tooru’s outfit too.

The chapter titles aren’t always music references in the magazine releases. They get renamed when the volumes come out, which is usually when the music reference titles are injected if they weren’t already there. The prior arc for example was called “Dangerous Pursuit” while it was being published in the magazine, but in the volume releases it’s been renamed “The Wonder of You (The Miracle of Your Love)”. The Wonder of You is an Elvis song.

It hasn’t been explicitly stated yet but Josefumi’s theory was that by grafting the branch to a different tree it changed the chemical composition of the fruit and thus altered its effect. It’s been theorised in these threads that it’s because of the Wall Eyes. The graft took place on the Higashikata’s land where the equivalent exchange properties are focused, and the new fruit’s ability is closer to the Wall Eyes’ ability than the original fruit’s ability. It’ll be explained properly in the future, but for now that’s what we know.

The original Locacaca will swap one illness or injury you have for another of equal severity when eaten. The new Locacaca instead swaps one injured or ill body part with a healthy body part from another person, allowing you to be cured with no drawbacks as long as you’ve got someone else to take the consequences for you. This obviously makes it much more appealing to potential buyers since they themselves won’t face any consequences from the exchange as long as they’ve conned someone else into taking their burden. As for how it mutated it hasn’t been explained, but Josefumi guesses just before dying that it’s because he grafted the branch it grew on and thus it’s DNA was slightly altered in some way.

It ain’t grown yet. Also we don’t know what his actual end goal is yet. He wants to save his son, but he also seems to have bigger plans for the family business which is why he was working for Damo and doesn’t want the hospital to get the fruit.

His spoon and glass method combines these ingredients into something better, and with time, the flavor gradually changes and becomes something new, despite the parfait being the same ingredients as before. This experience leads people to tell their friends and family, expanding the experience to more people, so that they too can experience something new and exciting. All he had to do was make the glass.

What's the best part and why is it JJL?
Every arc doesn't only advance the plot, but also explores the characters extremely well. They get teamed up in different ways, form alliances, act irrationally at times and it's genuinely hard to decide which group or character you root for the most. The main conflict/objective switches over so seemlessly and every bit of progress made feels earned. While Gappy grows so much throughout the currently 94 chapters, even after all this time, he's still Gappy. He's incredibly badass, smart and ruthless when he needs to be, but at times a bit too stubborn. The town feels so alive, the way the characters interact with the NPCs, how bystanders are affected by fights.

In the chapter preview we can see Norisuke confronting Jobin in the room where Yasuho is drowning. Norisuke is hardline against people outside the family being involved with their curse, so it’s very much possible that he took one of the New Locacacas (in the last chapter we see there are four fruits growing) and used it to save Yasuho by taking on her injuries himself.

There’s four of the new fruits on the plant in Jobin’s room. Let’s do the math; one for Yasuho, one for Holly, one for Tsurugi, and one for the Rock Niggers. Everyone can be happy. But of course that won’t happen, for one person to “have” another has to “not have”. He who takes the first napkin and all that shit.
