Went to shit around the Hassaikai arc or whatever is called. That arc was boring and no amount of sakuga could've made that arc good in the anime. And it was just downhill from there.

It was always shit. It was never a ‘subversion of shonen tropes’ like people claim, it plays everything straight and with very few differences from the standard. The characters are about as two dimensional as the paper they’re printed on. This could have been mitigated by actually utilizing the enormous roster, but more than 15 members of the ‘main’ class have done absolutely nothing notable to impact the plot and it just falls back on Deku, Ochako, Kirishima, Bakugo, Shoto, and Frog. Remember when the jet leg guy was supposed to be a main character? When did he last impact the plot without the entire class being there to do the ‘everyone gets a page to show they still exist’ moment? I can’t even remember his name. Remember when the author said Mina was the character he was ‘most excited to get going’ with? 200 chapters ago and she’s done nothing since then?
The villains association is quite possibly the most pathetic major villains in any shonen series - they keep showing up and get their asses handed to them and yet when they come back we’re supposed to take them seriously. The only moment I thought was good was twitter’s exploding yaoibait literally telling the villains they were shitty and lame. You can’t just keep showing them getting their asses handed to them and then expect me to think they’re a threat.

It’s every shonen trapping. Stupid villains, flat heroes, massive casts of pointless characters, tired plots (how many arcs were ‘doing thing but SIKE HERE COMES THE VILLAINS ASSOCIATION’ they even shoehorned stupid yandere girl and not deadpool into that yakuza plot), and terrible fight choreography. The ONLY thing I’ll give it is that it has decent character design. The only reason it’s still popular is because twitter wants to see Deku fuck the explosion bastard. Isnt it weird how much they hate mineta for being a pervert character and yet they go full yaoipaddle for these underage boys?

It was a loss that served no purpose, nobody learned anything from Deku losing. Sure, you could make the argument that Deku learned that he needed to get stronger but he already knew that since this is straight off the heels of him being scared shitless by AfO. Bakugo jumping Deku and beating the shit out of him is in character but he won and only got a slap on the wrist. He confronted Deku but his feelings barely changed, if Bakugo had lost then it would've forced him(or give Hori an excuse to) have some strong introspective. Instead Bakugo is bitching and moaning and instead of getting his shit slapped he gets what amounts to "There there, it's gonna be okay" from All Might.

It's weak, and if Deku won there would've been a lot cartharsis. I'm not saying Deku should win all the time or even often, but that was the one win he should've had.

It was improperly foreshadowed. While the quirk was stated to stockpile energy from previous users, there was no reason to believe it stacked quirks too. Especially when the character who told the audience and Deku that had OfA and only had one strong quirk from it.

The extra quirks unlocking for only Deku feels way too contrived.

I just tried to watch season 4 of the anime, and it was so fucking bad. Holy shit. I love Shounen anime and have watched everything, but this is the first time I've ever been bored to fucking tears.
