Also from the OP trailer it seems that Rachel and Baam's relationship is made more... intimate in the adaptation, which might be for the better. Though, yeah, you simply can't say that she were pretty. She was below average, especially contrasted with other girls (Yuri, Androssi, Anaak (kek).

But then again, we all know that you can't really have "average" looking characters in anime, now don't we.

It's one of the better fantasy series out there, with lots and lots of lore. The story is hardly good, but the sheer volume of world-building is.
