Honestly, I kinda like it. Leon's personality is visibly flawed - he can be reliable, courageous and creative when he's in the super onii-chan mode, but rest of the time he spends sulking and being indecisive. He can be kind and helpful, but unlike absurdly holy Nice Guys™, he displays many rotten character traits, like during duel with idiot rangers, where his whiteknighting for Angie became secondary to his personal dislikes, power tripping, amusement and greed. To me he feels way more genuine than typical MCs that are indiscriminately altruistic, always right and morally superior.
