I'd say that's all the more reason to do promotion. Shana got a final season to coincide with the LN ending, Nogizaka Haruka got an OVA when the LN ended, among other examples.

They went shill mode like two or three months after season 3 ended, before that the game and maybe an OVA or movie was supposed to be final piece of anime content. I don't see a season 5 working, they are capitalizing on the series ending with DAB and S4 but S5 would air like a year later after the series finale.
