Been working my way through the Index series, just finished this tonight. Holy shit what a train wreck. The pacing was an absolute mess, I could barely figure out what was going on half the time. When I could get a bearing on what was happening it was only relevant for a few minutes until the show slapped the next bit of seemingly irrelevant plot in my face.
The most disappointing part was probably the animation. The show looked like absolute ass. Not that JC Staff has ever really made anything that great but this was bad even for them. It's like they haven't improved one bit since Railgun S five years before, they probably got worse.
Are Accelerator and Railgun T this fucking terrible?
I'm one of the resident Index novelfags. I watched this with my brother and he gave up around Acqua because he didn't know who was what and didn't care to, and frankly, I don't blame him. I'd have been just as lost without the context provided by the books.

Index III is one of the biggest "fuck you, read the novels" anime I have seen
Oliver Evans
Is it worth getting into the LNs at this point? I understand the arc adapted by season 3 of the anime is supposed to be one of the best in the series. Is it worth it to start reading from the first book? How material much would I be re-treading?
Jaxon Lopez
>Not that JC Staff has ever really made anything that great
Depends on how much you're missing. If you just want to retread Arc 3, then read the first two sidestories and then Book 14. But there is a case also to be made especially for starting from the beginning, since two of the first four arcs are heavily truncated Post-it-Notes versions in the anime and omitted entirely in the manga rushing to get to Misaka's arc.
Daniel Rivera
Not this again. Index will never have a good anime. Impossible to adapt it probably and with other shitty circumstances like the lack ability of the director, JC cucks and fucking Kadokawa puts the nail in the coffin.
Jacob Lee
To answer your question, Railgun T is fine if you like Railgun. It's not S, and it's suffering delays, but otherwise it's solid.
>Accelerator was good too. the anime, the manga is very very slow and badly paced
Lincoln Parker
Both Accel and Railgun are better by virtue of having streamlined, comprehensible arcs that get enough episodes to tell the story they want to tell. Whether you enjoy those stories depends on your preferences.
Jeremiah Hernandez
Reminder that Nishikori plan of ending Index at OT20 and make the rest into a movie would have made Index 3 good, too bad the producers ruined it
Liam Ward
Why are you pretending that you just now saw this? Were you lonely from the lack of a thread?
Xavier Williams
>got worse That's an understatement. Did you see how they ruined Kakine, Acqua and Fiamma? Thankfully Kakine was the first to be saved, read the manga. It's only gotten to Book 15, or episode 5-7 of Index III but its really fucking good. Chuuya's going to make a spectacle.
Their animation is usually on par but never anything more.
I'll probably pick it up from the beginning in he future, thanks.
Watching the series I've definitely enjoyed the railgun/accelerator parts more. The seasons of Index at this point feel like things I have to suffer through to try and keep up with the characters overall.
Really did just see this but also missed you lots user.
Chase Reed
Index is legitimately one of the most mishandled series I've ever seen considering it popularity/enduring fanbase. I honestly fucking believe a bunch of anons on here could have done better by making Index 3 from scratch. Atleast they would have given a fuck

Intended or not, it was more an illustration of how the series has become "fuck you, I dare you to stop me" from Kamachi. This was originally a chuuni plot-from-my-ass one-off originally written when he was in high school and it has gone light years beyond where it should have mercifully concluded. But people now buy it out of habit I guess, so it will probably be the Anpanman of the 21st century. Except Anpanman makes more sense.

>If Utagai Karuta killed her after she saved him…well, she might actually enjoy that. Whoa girl slow down what the fuck
Leo Butler
Accelerator anime was a fun ride but the fags here will say otherwise since they're still butthurtted from Index 3 fest. Comfy and chill and did improve the source by miles 8/10
No kidding. Give me 2 years, some animation toolkits and let me draw 24/7 to develop my skills, I'd probably create a couple animations myself. The battles in my minds eye are quite the spectacle, and I wish I could find the time to properly develop my everything.
>Your feelings get through to me >and someday I'm sure mine will too God I'm glad GT1 is finally delivering sisters being publicized.
Angel Gomez
That is what happens when you rush to get to NT because the the author+editor(KADOKAWA and Straight Edge) tells you to, then claim that it is the highlight reel of the GRS arc when everyone is angry. At least it made them bank.
Easton Allen
>Yes, Aine had intended to kill Natalena from the beginning. Then Marika had suggested they kill her. Kyouka had gone on to suggest they torture her to get information from her, but she would not have cared much about whether the girl survived or not. She would not be a comedic dominatrix from a comedian’s skit. A true whip would have knots and metal hooks that tore into the skin and muscle. A torturer would strike people like that without batting an eye.
>Natalena had attacked them, so they had no reason to show any leniency. Even the laws of their country allowed for self-defense. Is this America?
Carter Parker
Stop shitposting and get to drawing then
Robert King
>tells you to tells you to not to skip to NT and adapt the rest of the OT series*
Seriously. What's with you fucks and not being able to put Raildex in the title?
Jose King
Author and Editor never said to rush though. That is out of their hands and not their choice nor would they expect it.
Blake Lewis
kek. >user doesn't have all raildex keywords in his filter
Michael White
Not the point.
Gavin Diaz
yeah I actually liked the changes they made for the anime. especially the scavenger fight, that dragged on for me in the manga but was a fun watch in the anime.
Jackson Morris
>The people spazzing out the moment there isn't a thread and need to desperately make a new one to get their daily dose of shitposting aren't regulars I'm shocked
You forgot one, but maybe for a good reason. For Index to revive in the public eye, its gonna take a lot. I'm ashamed to admit this, but JUST Dark Matter isn't enough. I do hope they ditch JC Staff after mismanaging even Railgun, whatever we had, our sacrifices won't go in vain. I swear it anons.
Decent enough off with science friends but if Salome, Cindrillon, and GT are anything to go by she loses 30% of her competency stats when magic is involved. Agnese would probably give her trouble. If Brun actually did magic in their fight instead of only power it would probably have confused and scared her.
>Implying raildex is the only place these people get their daily shitposting
Xavier Fisher
I didn’t forget! Please don’t hurt me! I didn’t forget about Kongou I swear to god!
Dominic Jackson
Visit Yas Forums outside of Raildex you fucking moron.
William Sanders
That’s right bitch. You better not forget about her. She risked her life for your entertainment in the last episode just to make the anime great. You should be praising her.
Elijah Clark
The whole reason I made that post is because I visit threads outside of Raildex, moron. 90% of the shitposting in these threads revolves around content people need to read to understand. The daily shitposts about Othinus, Misaki, Mikoto, Kamisato, Hamazura, and Accelerator are not things outsiders come up with.
Yes, they are. Considering a majority of the discussion revolves around them it is easy to pick up names and make blanket ass statements. That's what makes it shitposting and incredibly obvious when they can't elaborate properly on events. Your newfag is showing.
