Assuming you're reborn into the setting of an otome game as a background character that attends the same school as the main cast. What are your hopes and dreams or what do you wish to achieve?
Perhaps become a powerful mage or the greatest swordsman/knight that doesn't lose out to the main cast? Court a cute lady/handsome guy with a charm that none of the main cast have? Perhaps survive the arrival of the demon lord or perhaps try to take it down, either alone or with an ensemble cast of background characters that suspiciously have more power or you've trained yourself for maximum efficiency and effectiveness? What would you like to accomplish?

More like non-existent. I still have no idea where wn authors get the idea that otome heroines like to steal way taken men.
That's not what the games players are like.

Villainess/rival set up is almost non-existent. And there's more variety in the settings of otome. The most you'll probably get out of rivals is maybe the occasional fangirls like in Amnesia and perhaps pic related titles coming out this year where two heroines enter within a harem.

Cooler uniforms and prettier dresses. None of those works are going for historical accuracy anyway, so there's little reason not to dip into later periods as convenient.
