Dropped
You would need to have actual real mind-dulling autism to even consider doing that shit, if there's literally no reward in it. Also, this would only reduce the amount of fun you get from watching anime in the first place.
You don't have 5 hours a day in the age of Corona?
MUST WATCH ENTERTAINMENT MEDIA AT ALL TIMES
And you know that because you tried it?
>if there's literally no reward in it.
You get to watch anime at a decent pace.
how about the don't watch anime challenge and it lasts for 30 years
the only thing i'm up for is my 12-hour shifts 5 days a week for about $1.4~ an hour every morning
with i was still a kid so i could actually do something like this
On year 7 of that one at the moment.
These series must be included
No thanks.
I work 12 hour shifts
you must be 18 to post in here
Someone, somewhere in the world actually did this autistic challenge
I did. Twice. Second time with 2 cours.
Glasslip had the most accurate depiction of autism, was honestly quite interesting.
Watching a cour over 2 days is the best way to experience an anime, fucking fight me
>watch 70 episode anime in a day
>70*24/60 > 24h
This
>moetron
Jesus, haven't seen her in a while.
And no, I'm too busy reading VNs.
You could manage a bit more if you skip OP and ED and some anime only have 22 minutes.
So far my personal best is still 42 episodes. I just can't get the right situation for more.
Even if you perfectly skipped both OP and ED that are perfectly 1:30 in length, you would still fall short by half an hour. I'm not gonna take "12min shows count" excuse because then every one of these challenges are way too easy
No, the ideal pace is 2-3, max 4 episodes at a time. Like a movie.
I don't even like anime
I completed this challenge in under 2 hours with hyper-watching
beat that faggots, Id like to see you try
Different user, I've absolutely watched 13 episodes a day multiple days in a row. It's not something I'm going to do for 30 days.
>Watch 4-5 hours of an "ecchi" show
No thank you, I'll just watch something I like
>You get to watch anime at a decent pace.
I watch anime at the pace I want to right now, how would I do anything else? If I want to watch anime I watch anime, if I don't feel like it, why would I watch anything at all? Every once in a while I put on Evangelion+EoE as a playlist and sit back and enjoy a full watchthrough. I do that when I want to. I've watched probably 12-16 hours of LotGH in one sitting, but only when I want to.
>Cour
The singular form of cours is cours. The "s' is silent.
You never watch more than one movie in a day? Just watch 4 episodes for breakfast, 4 in the afternoon and 4 in the evening.
just watch Teekyuu
>how would I do anything else?
Look at all the casuals spending more time on Yas Forums than they do on anime & manga.
>that pic
>i don't like disney
i would really like to hear his reasoning at some day if he still holds it
You have an incredibly narrow and childish view of the world. Entertainment of all things is not a competition. Nobody will give you a prize for watching a lot of anime, you won't "win" anything. If I don't want to watch anime, then I won't watch anime. If I want to shitpost on Yas Forums, I'll shitpost on Yas Forums. If I feel like laying around and watching Ghibli films, I'll do that. Maybe I read a chapter of an old manga I like. Maybe I'll just sit and think about something I've already read or watched. Anime and manga are entertainment, it should be fun.
>Casuals
If you took "watch one thousand shows before posting" seriously you're retarded. Do you think you're a professional of some kind? Sure, normalfags are annoying, but just ignore them and move on. You're not going to get anywhere by arguing with them, and it's impossible to try to gatekeep an intentionally anonymous imageboard.
Watching anime, not because you want to, but because it's some sort of "grind", is the absolute apex of retardation.
>"watch one thousand shows before posting"
1000 is a joke 100 isn't.
The more anime you watch the better. If you don't enjoy watching lots of anime then you are in the wrong place.
Nah, that just sounds like it'd be a chore. I enjoy jap media at my own pace.
You could give it a try instead of guessing. You can always stop if you can't handle it.
Manga version when?
reading manga is much less time consuming than anime or at least if feels that way
The problem is that there's no fixed length for manga and some simply read a lot faster than others.
Maybe 5 volumes a day would be a start.
>only one of these days are at least 26 episodes long
This is a chump challenge, how weak are the anons h-
>day 21
nevermind
at least is not jew entertainment
holy shit, did your brain melt?
That's not something you can do every day, let alone for an entire month.
I needed a nap towards the end.
Yeah, no. After watching a bit under 100 episodes in one week I felt like my brain was melting. Never doing shit like that ever again.
The only way to achieve this is if
>you are a NEET and it is impossible for you to get bored
or
>you are watching the anime sped up and not really paying attention to it
It's well possible to do at normal speed while in education, employment or training.
A NEET can do two, three times as much.
And right now a lot of people are effectively NEETs.
>you are watching the anime sped up and not really paying attention to it
Then just watch it at 100 speed.
>implying we have 30 days.
14, tops.
No

This.
I refuse to marathon any show on my first viewing because it ruins my enjoyment of it. Even watching a 12 episode show in the course of a week is a very different experience from watching it weekly as it aired over three months. The anticipation is half the fun of the series format.
I don't actually make a show last months, but I do try to pace myself and not watch more than two episodes at a sitting. Entertainment, like food, should be savored, not gorged upon. Cliff hangers, in particular, lose much of their dramatic effect if immediately resolved.
That said, I have no objection to watching several hours worth of anime in a day if I have the time. lt just won't all be the same show.
You never get the airing experience since you can't discuss it with Yas Forums.
That's why those Netflix originals get ignored by most since dumping everything at once ruins most discussion that could be had.
True, but I still get more of an experience than I would marathoning.
I understand your perspective, but I can never truly get invested in a show unless I emulate the moviegoing experience as closely as possible. That means at night, in a quiet house, watching at least 6 episodes at a time. For me, immersion necessitates a solid chunk of time for the outside world to be able to disappear from my mind so I can get fully pulled in.
To each his own I guess.
Personally marathoning comes natural as I want to see what's happening next. It also simplifies the watching since I can rely on the player to simply pick the next episode instead of fiddling with playlists or directories. The most extreme case was Planetes which I watched without even taking a toilet break.
I'm on 130 days of time watched but I haven't watched shit from my backlog in a while. I guess it's time since I don't have to go to work anymore. I'll make a thread to talk about them at the very least.
Tomorrow I'll watch anidb.net
Also, to have some fun, I'll watch . I've already seen 4 of them, but I'll try to include the rest in some manner.
Boy, you have shit taste.
Good luck on your quest.
No can do man I haven't been a high schooler in years. Maybe I'll have time when I'm on layover in the future.
I've literally never seen any quality discussion on Yas Forums for ongoing shows.
There's a lot of variance. Sometimes it really helps you appreciate a show, sometimes there's nobody else watching and sometimes the threads are so bad that it's best to pretend they don't exist.
Try finishing a moege within 2 days, senpai.
Not fapping to every H-scene means you did not finish it. You are not connected to the heroines and you did not truly experience the romance with them if you go for more than 1 route per day.
