Do you have a theory about what lies at the bottom of the abyss?

the power of friendship
A lovecraftian horror.
Personal theory, the Abyss is a sentient organism with all the different creatures it creates acting as cells. Like a pitcher plant, the Abyss lures new (the explorers) by offering them treasures that bend reality and in turn feeds on them, either physically or on their sanity/souls. Also like an organism, the Abyss is growing. Given that we see the remnants of past civilizations in the lower levels of the Abyss, these civilizations may have existed on the surface for a time before collapsing and being dragged deeper into the Abyss while the Abyss creates a new surface level to entice new settlers.
correct
Good theory.
bedrock and a chest with a piece of paper that says ur a pedophile
This is the most accurate theory I've seen
The wan piss
When does the anime get good? 5 episodes in already but it's slow as hell, definitely not the shilled masterpiece I've read about
So does tsukushiA actually fuck globes?
Episode 1 is where it gets good. You should just drop it.
Someone have the white_people_dancing.webm?
The anime is very slow paced, you have to watch the recaps in that case
tfw 5 episode binge
This shit again? Didn't you get a good answer yesterday?
Thinly veiled
Freddy Mercury singing Made in Abyss.
I mean ep 1 was godlike, that's why I keep watching. But other eps are pretty nothing-happens with more exposition than showing.
"The Lord of Annihilation", Lyza the Annihilator
"The Immovable Sovereign", Ozen the Immovable
"The Lord of Dawn", Bondrewd the Novel
"The Lord of Mystery", Srajo the Obscure
"The Lord of Guidance", Wakuna the Chosen
"The Oblivious Wanderer", Riko the Potato
White "likes bot thistle" whistle, Riko
There's no bottom, their planet is a gigantic doughnut in which the abyss is the center hole of.
Is Bondrew the only one that discovered the blessing? Is he the only one that knows of it apart from the main cast?
I hate people like you.
A story starts somewhere. A beginning provides context and setting. Its important for later.
Its more like, who above the fifth layer knows about it
Likely a pit full of dripping cunny waiting for sexual deviants to get it.
The pit itself is Earth`s crusty diseased vagina.
Depends on what you mean by "good." I didn't know Made in Abyss was famous/considered "a masterpiece" when I first watched it, and so I had no pre-concieved notions. From my perspective, the music, characters, pacing (that I found immersive suspense-building), art, and mystery were addictive, and it only got better and better. If you're somebody who just likes slice-of-life non-stories or things with constant unrealistic fighting, it's not for you. This is a show that takes its time and tries to establish stakes and explore heavy themes. It's fine if it's not your thing.
I love my wife Moogie
This guy
I'm not into """"heavy themes"""" so I don't want to watch it
My high school drama teacher was into """"heavy themes"""" it turns out so he might be a fan. I don't know
The Reapers from Mass Effect
Saw the first three eps and it's interesting but a little slow. Should I watch the recap movies or is watching the full show worth it for any extra details?
a crashed alien ship
If you are not hooked by the moment the bunny appears then you might aswell leave and go watch MHA or SAO or whatever shounen/isekai shit you enjoy.
If you feel like it's slow, you could watch the movies. Once they entered the abyss it stops feeling slow, or at least it did for me, in the show. Keep in mind the first three episodes are the last episodes to ever take place on the surface, so establishing the culture of delvers and where Riko grew up is important to frame the story. The pacing may feel slow right now, but trust me when I say all of the info you get is relevant.

By "heavy themes" I mainly mean it centers around survival, finding purpose and value in suffering, and the thrill of living and learning as ends in themselves. It expresses those things in a lot of ways, but the most obvious one is by making the kids go through some pretty rough shit including deaths, a decent amount of body horror, and trying in general to make you feel uncomfortable to keep you on your toes. There are light moments, but the tone and the humor never really steeps to normal anime cliches (even the humorous moments of the show make me uncomfortable a lot of the time). That's what I meant by "heavy themes."
Thanks, I appreciate the info. I'll watch a few more eps of the show in that case and make a call later on whether to continue or just watch the movies.
>Mystery meat cup noodle
Why?
To add to that though, the world of the show is extremely vivid and colorful, the main characters are cute and friendly, and there is a lot of hope even when they're afraid.
Shows are "edgy" when they have "edgy" protagonists, not when they feature dark moments or themes in general.
Probably the top of the abyss
I hope you like it, it's one of my favorite anime ever. I do think the reasons people think the show is so great is because of episodes 10 and 13, which are very good, but they can only be impactful because of all the setup. Those episodes are genuinely only the tip of the iceberg though, if you like it you should read the manga and see the new movie.
>even the humorous moments of the show make me uncomfortable a lot of the time
Same, but mostly when it goes full pedo.
other lighter moments make good contrast to the darker themes.
nanachi is a boy
No one argues that Nanachi is a boy
manga comes out on the 20th right guys
Lyza's corpse
Nanachi hung out with Mitty when she was human, and it would be kind of awkward for them to sleep under the same blanket and stuff if nanachi was a guy
>Nanachi hung out with Mitty when she was human
Yes.
>it would be kind of awkward for them to sleep under the same blanket and stuff if nanachi was a guy
Why?
Because Mitty was a girl, and if a boy touches a girl they get cooties duh
They were kids, but even then it's hard to sleep w/ the opposite gender unless it's your sibling or something
Never, it's boring bastardized shit. Read the manga instead.
At the bottom of the abyss all the friends we made along the way.
Also chapter when?
The narehate in the village could tell that Nanachi was blessed so I don't think they are entirely in the dark.
Drama as in stage play or drama as in faggot?
You mean the top of the abyss?
