If you haven't read Fire Punch yet then strap yourself in and, everyone, enjoy the ride.
Last time: Our hero got into his new role as a god and it was revealed that a particular person made it out of Behemdolg alive. Prepare yourselves, because this volume is KINO INCARNATE.
it's amazing how much can Fujimoto trap you with awesome dialog and kino tier art, it's hard to look away from the screen. whenever he starts hitting you with heavy developments you just can't look away
Intentionally or not, Fire Punch is the purest example of genre deconstruction there is. It's like Fujimoto is given a list of shonen tropes that he absolutely needs to implore, and then he's free to abandon them for all he cares.
Agni's dialog here is written very well. Sounds very realistic. Either VIZ had their A-Team on this or Fujimoto spent a lot of time making this sound nice and real.
Nolan Brooks
That sums this entire volume up pretty well I'd say.
>LGBTQ drama Ok I gotta admit this IS unique, but it's only because of the rarity of a girl wanting to be a boy. Instead of the much more common boy being a girl. Still shitty drama though.
I have an image in my head of that meme about one guy with sunglass talking to a girl with his hand on her neck but With Togata & Agni >So here listen that the best part, Luke tell him Obiwan told him his father was dead and then, i shit you not, Darth tell him : No i am your father. And then you wouldn't believe how that little nigga is screaming like his balls was stuck in his shower's doors...
Ryder Campbell
Togata is already mentally unstable because of her age, all her drama is really interesting to watch because of the sudden change of her usually laid back personality
Its the same reason they cant eat pig, they were full of diseases at the time.
Sebastian Reed
Its better done than most other depictions, even the ones made in the West. Honestly especially including the West because this feels more authentic and less like a rich kid trying to act 'progressive' instead of actually helping people.
