Yes. In fact we need a many-couples anime with each couple being siblings.
No, but if you're making a romcom/ecchi series with incest you should actually have them be blood related. None of this stepbrother/sister chickenshit
Kuroneko is better

I don't see why stepbrother/sister would be bad per se, there are actually some scenarios that can be interesting. What's stupid is when the author clearly wants to do actual incest but is too scared to actually do it.
To the user from previous thread. I don't think incest can be shown as broadly immoral under hedonistic morality. It can be under some other moral systems, but there's little point in the argument, if we can't agree on basic axioms of morality. It would just turn into arguing over something so removed from the topic, that it probably doesn't really belong.
...
We certainly need more incestuous themes. not enough momcest. they could at least make a step mum romance story

No, they would be too ugly.
No. Saturating it to the point it becomes the norm makes it less special
Furohile is a best hentai ever.
Yes
I would but both below pure BR, take YnS for example, the main pillar of the relationship is that none of them look at each other as siblings, they are like 2 complete strangers getting together, on the other hand you have Kirino and Kyousuke with a relationship that feels much more like real siblings getting together.
Do not worry, OP is just daydreaming, we won't see any like it on TV ever again, maybe one day some OVAs.
This would only ever be the case if there is proof that they wouldn't be together if raised separately (since that would make their relationship seem shallow). If they were raised separately but the writer knows or states they would be together regardless of whether nor not they were raised together, then it's not a problem.
God I read this pulpy Young Adult fiction book from my country that had fanfiction.net tier writing and it made me realise how garbage 99% of incest stuff in Japanese media is. Think I might just give up and find something else because I've just realised that if the peak of incest media I've come across is some melodramatic western novel we're never gonna get anything truly good.
When is the Tokyo bill going to get repealed?
A man of culture as well.
>I don't think incest can be shown as broadly immoral under hedonistic morality
Okay, but under your moral system why is it wrong?
That is the most retarded thing I've ever read.
The fact that they have some sort of more complex or interesting relationship, either because they grew up together, or because they just found out that they have a sibling, is a key component. If the relationship doesn't matter at all, it's nothing more than shallow fetish fuel.
Kyousuke and Kirino's relationship is so intense that I don't think anything surpasses it, it's heartwarming, romantic and erotic at the same time. The way Kirino never stops being self-conscious and embarrassed and they never stop being aware of their relationship as siblings, and the way she understands the obsession herself because she's a fan of imouto eroge only makes it more perverse. Too bad the anime doesn't have scenes like this.
The relationships meaning is sourced in how much legitimacy the apparent mutual affection has. If it's riddled in circumstance then it's not as legitimate, it has nothing to do with ancillary complexities.
Is Oreimo worth watching for the incest? I've heard that it doesn't actually go for it because of studio meddling and they end it as normal siblings
The ending is censorship, and it's not really as bad as it's made out to be. It's still implied that their relationship continued because she asks for more 'life counseling'. Watch it for the girls, story, comedy, the beautiful romantic moments like the bike ride scene, and the relationship of banter fueled by sexual tension, as well as true love. Also Kirino is the best and cutest girl of all time
yes
I regret watching it. I usually don't read manga but oreimo is one you must read while ignoring the anime. In the anime the sister is portrayed as an insufferable abusive bitch that shows little to no affection for her brother and her character doesn't progress at all in 2 seasons save for the forced NTR episode and the final of S2
Sadly the anime removes most of the incest aspects of the story, if you are interested go read the LN for the love of god, but if you watch ALL of the anime including OVAs and specials then you shouldn't really have any problem or doubts about the ending.
Does the LN 'censor' the ending like the anime, then? If not I'll read the LN. I want a genuine incest-centred story and not some generic "little sisters are cute and we play video games together" pseudo-incest cop out
Not quite true doe, Kirino character at least on S1 do progress except for the sudden skip of Volume 3 and reach a pretty good "conclusion", the problem start with S2 when they not only skip a LOT of content but they also add filler which makes Kirino attitude have too many lows but that's pretty much it, if you forgive those lows then is not really that bad and the OVAs at least do a good enough work with the conclusion.
They go "we are married and we are totally a couple, but now were are just normal siblings wink-wink and will walk each other home gently"
The LN is just much more complete and doesn't leave room for speculation, I would say try both but yeah, go freaking read the LN. They both end on the same point though, with Kyousuke breaking the promise and they continuing the Life Counseling, the anime simply skip all of the details of the Life Counseling which are 100% clear on the LN.
I'd do anything if I could live a life as Kyousuke.
It mostly follows from the this
>family is important and, with some exceptions, should be one of the main goals people strive towards
>monogamy is desirable and good
>"structural integrity" of social norms is important, things that could erode them shouldn't be accepted without a good reason and should be integrated with care and properly fenced off from the harmful aspects that might otherwise come with them
I think this more or less rules out the "we're not actually gonna produce offspring" relationships
As for those that would:
>intentionally or consciously producing offspring with significant chance of severe genetic disease and/or genetic defect(s) is immoral
>accepting 1st generation incest only is a slippery slope and can't practically be achieved (yet) ("sorry son, you can't marry your sister, because we got the first dibs"... I don't think that would work well, generally the solution would need to clear my 3rd point. I can imagine this changing if genetic compatibility testing becomes the standard and siblings with too high incompatibility get reliably filtered out, or something of that sort - though this situation brings a whole host of its own issues that would need to be considered.)
>"sorry son, you can't marry your sister, because we got the first dibs"... I don't think that would work well
Sounds right to me, why wouldn't it work? What are the odds that their children are also going to fall in love? It's not something that happens very often.
Not him and actually don't mind generational incest but it wouldn't surprise me if they genetically passed on the "attraction" to their children as well.
Let the science begin.
It's like 95% otaku wankery and 5% greatest love story ever told. Kinda tiresome overall, but certainly not the worst pile of trash I watched for an imouto.
the otaku stuff is pretty comfy
Forgot to add. Of course, I didn't build everything up from the basic axioms. You could probably write whole books and some of these points. Inquire if something doesn't make sense to you.
Because if there's a moral law, there needs to be somewhat clear standard that can be followed. Moreover, it's not just a question of 1st generation, collective genetic deterioration exists too (see the Amish - they have higher prevalence of genetic defects, despite (afaik) little to no incest).
And see point 3. If you hand wave this away with "most won't fall in lave anyway" you're just eroding the standard. If you want a proof of what normalization of incest can lead to, see the Pakistanis and their issues with genetic defect and diseases.
Fuck off.
I don't know why Kirinofags defend the anime when it just makes her look shit and damages the perception of the character entirely like it did for me, but it beyond pisses me off when retards post from it while declaring above far better series and girls especially.
>things that could erode them shouldn't be accepted without a good reason and should be integrated with care and properly fenced off from the harmful aspects that might otherwise come with them
So what about nations like France or the Netherlands/Belgium or Australia where incest isn't illegal and don't seem to have devolved into a horrific state to the point where it's harming society as a whole?
Literally living the dream
I think it depends on whether you support the modern lgbt+ developments or not. If you don't and hate incest, then you can at least be consistent. If you do, then it would be a pure hypocrisy.
Not being enforced by law doesn't mean social pressure and commonly taught morality isn't doing the job.
Here's the easy way out. Legalise invest and legalise euthanasia for newborns + everyone else who wants it (maybe even make it mandatory for malformed newborns). We have the technology to predict if a kid may come retarded during pregnancy but that aside. We live in 2020 where pansexual crossdressing autists in wheelchairs are considered brave and powerful. It's only a matter of time before incest becomes legal. The problem is that nobody listens to single childs and siblings are too afraid to speak up out of fear
Modern lgbtqielmnop+++ is absolute cancer.
Ah yes, lets legalize murder. Why didn't I think of that.
So then would you agree that we should decriminalise incest if there's no negative repercussions borne out from it on a societal-wide status if we decriminalise it?
Also I thought you were arguing your position of morality, not society's standards of what they consider wrong
The "otaku wankery" was quite original for its time, as well as being enjoyable.
Moron, fuck off
You're making incorrect assumptions. The act of legalizing incest, the campaign connected with it wold by themselves be undesirable, maybe even more so than the current legal status.
If you're asking about my personal beliefs, I don't think it necessarily has to be outlawed if social pressure is doing good enough job. But the questions of whether something should bed legal, and whether it should be legalized, are two different questions.
Shut the fuck up.
>The act of legalizing incest, the campaign connected with it wold by themselves be undesirable
Why? I thought your argument was that incest is 'immoral' because if it were legal/moral it would result in undesirable side effects in society, which hasn't been shown in societies that have decriminalised (i.e., said incest was morally permissible) and have had it decriminalised for hundreds of years
It's easy enough and solves a lot of problems. For everyone else it's the most painless suicide method and for newborn malformed babies...
Well first we need to agree they are human
Then we need to determine if they want to live and is it more merciful for them to die
After that we need to solve the life/choice problem as it will help us figure out if post birth abortion is ok.
It's why I said maybe make it mandatory but it should definitely be an option available for the parents to pick.
No, thanks. Legalization of euthanasia in any form will be an ultimate dealbreaker for me when I vote.
Shut the fuck up
